I really hope you're right, but we have no concept of realistic negotiation so who knows. -

If this is the case, it's not going to happen. -
Well, they're gonna try. They'd need some Tory backbenchers to go with them though, which seems unlikely.

Aye but you don't get good value for them either. Abroad is the only real option we have for anyone of decent value. -
You don't think it'll be staged?
-
Aye, you could argue that the point of us being on the planet at this stage is to survive despite breeding.

Every time people talk about kids, they end up saying 'Kids are great, really changed my life for the better' with no examples of how. And then they go on to reel off numerous examples of absolute misery foisted on them by their young. As such, I've always been of the opinion that when people say 'kids are great/wait until you have kids' they mean 'please join me in my misery, I'll feel better about it that way'

Really don't think up front is that big a concern for us. We're not going to be taking the division by storm, it makes more sense to shore up the back, play to Rafa's strengths (defensive/counter attack) and aim to be 'difficult to beat' for the first season back. Counter attacking should win us a few games we'd otherwise be written off for. -
Not sure how they can prove the Facebook thing. If they think it's legit, ask them why they haven't reported it to the police. Totally ridiculous means of sacking someone, that.

If we're wanting strikes who can score 10 plus, both Gayle and Mitrovic would be decent bets anyway. 15+ then yeah, I agree that we'd need to spend on someone else. -
I think ewerk has been proven right, but not necessarily for the right reasons. The Tory backbenchers weren't happy with May asking for help, Labour ridiculed her, and I can't see much of a storm in the papers about Labour refusing to go along with it, unless I'm missing something? Presently she just looks hapless.

Why is 'bloody' one of ours though? As in 'bloody Newcastle...' I guess, but still a weird one. You'd think it'd be 'fucking'. -
All the intelligent people have long since abandoned politics. Blair, much as I think he's partially responsible for causing this clusterfuck, was probably the last true statesman we had.
-
Aye, well done for being determined to take it to conclusion, and congrats on the outcome. Sorry state of affairs though, as you say.
-
Exactly.

I voted Labour despite clearly wanting to stay in the EU. I've seen many people reel out this position recently and it just doesn't hold. People aren't voting to try to stop Brexit, they're just resigned to it and trying to get the best outcome they can out of what's left.

Fucking hell, that is a grim article. Did you come across that as a suggested result on Google or something?

Nice read - he's a good lad, Shola. Didn't know Nolan was now managing Notts County mind!

Because pulling back from doing so would undermine 'democracy' and more importantly, would make the Tories look absolutely fucking ridiculous. I agree that all the rational arguments for doing so are there, but the truth is that the Tories simply do not value the 'national good' above being in power.

That's a rather surprising thing to see. While I totally agree with him, Rafa 'demanding' things of Charnley doesn't paint a very good picture. -
On the balance of things, I can see your point. However, if they've gone to the trouble of compiling a 70 page report, then have to say, inclined to agree with ewerk. They'll probably sack you whether they have a case or not, irrespective of what you say. You could push for unfair dismissal once they have, and argue the points that way, but still. What was it you did again?
