CT, whether Labour 'bribed' the electorate or not, the point remains that the current, centrist system, is falling apart. It's not Labour's fault that everyone is miserable. It's not even really the Tories when you get down to it, they've been following the same flawed framework as their predecessors - they're just too stupid to realise that they can't answer the question within that framework. It's going to happen one way or another. It has to and it will. Whatever people think they're voting for is not as relevant as actually reforming the system.

Still believe it when I see it tbh... Nothing I've seen from Ashley save the appointment of Rafa, suggests there is a good outcome on the horizon in anything he does.
-
Ouch... not good optics Parky...
-
Yeah but Ashley is.
-
Well yeah actually. The level of political ability in this country is beyond hopeless atm.
-
Would prefer a more capable left wing offering as well. Also agree on Brexit. Have to play the hand we're dealt though...
-
mmm.... Blair was a Neoliberal. I dunno about that statement tbh. Having a real left wing alternative to the Tories will be worth it in the long run. Eventually the Tories are going to hang themselves, and people will just HAVE to choose the left. Lose a few battles, win the war. Once they get in once, and can put some seriously useful policies on the agenda, it'll be really hard to undo. Corbyn just needs to prove that his politics can work, and we'll be fine for a generation.

Was too young to vote Blair the first two times and was out of the country and totally distracted for the third. I voted for Brown because I was afraid of an electoral wipeout for Labour and what the Tories might bring, but I was utterly disillusioned with their surrender of the narrative about the economic stuff even then. Wasn't taken in by Clegg and am pleased I wasn't tbh. Voted Miliband although very nearly didn't bother because I was so fed up with Labour and their nonsense agenda by that point. Thank fuck we now have an alternative to centrism that isn't xenophobia.

I counted 4 on Chilli road last night... was actually quite taken aback.

On the basis of what, will the takeover happen? Long way to go yet on that front, and we've heard nothing in two weeks now. I suspect Ashley will stick to his guns concerning allowing the club to spend what it makes. With the TV deal, this might be enough for Rafa. Don't think we'll go down even if he leaves though. You would hope that Ashley can see the financial value of having someone decent in place.

... Maybe the deed references it..?
-
Aye this is it. One of the good things about the Labour grassroots hijacking is that we can say it really isn't the same party as it was. So all this stuff about "Well the last time Labour was in power" rings hollow to me. And even then, Blair would never have let the shitshow unfold that Cameron did.
-
Yeah fair enough but that was pre-melt down, the Tories have had 7 post Armageddon. Still no change. Corbyn clearly would change it.
-
The lawyer used should have a record..?
-
I'll happily concede that the Tories have done less damage to the middle east. They've done a fucking load of damage to the UK though... And Labour under Corbyn would not be fighting illegal wars and trying to destabilise other countries. I blame the Tories for the financial Armageddon too, given that the system was all Thatcher's idea.

L1 takes you left, r1 takes you right. You also want handbrake on square.
-
R1 and L1 should be kept for air rolling. Will help you land wheels down from aerial travel. I have boost on circle.

Ok they don't have cross plat-party creation yet, although it's coming in the new year. This means I'll have to smurf. I'll try to be online tonight but if not then tomorrow for sure.

The independent is reporting that the DfiD staff have been told they're getting a new boss though..

The BBC now following her car down the road in a helicopter WTF is going on?
-
Was just thinking that myself Thank fuck I'm not in the open plan bit of our office.

I have to say mind, the press literally tracked Priti's jet through the skies. Updates about her Whatsapp status as well. They clearly think this will be huge.

"[Patel is being made a scapegoat, it is not credible that the Foreign Office knew about these meetings but Downing Street did not. She left for Uganda after apologising and being told that she was safe - now they are bowing to pressure. She is going to be pretty angry if she is sacked and she could do some pretty hard damage to Downing Street. No 10 is being naive, the prime minister will create an even bigger problem for herself if she sacks Priti."

Ok will try to join you - we can go over the basics.
