Even that's a false economy. I work for an exporter and yeah, we got a huge boost from the pound collapsing... but now deals aren't going through, customers from Europe are looking for new means to source product through. You can feel the shift.

The 'my business benefitted' argument is currently the only rational argument ever made for Brexit that I've come across. So he has some of my respect for that.

That is an understandable reason. It comes from Thatcher-esque individualism, which is the driving force behind this country's utter shitness, but it does make rational sense. Disagree on the merit or relevance of the rest though. Our laws will stay largely the same. Moreover, very rarely to Tory passed laws benefit the majority in this country.

That's kind of what I think Fish looks like, mind -
I don't even think you could say it's at best the same tbh. They just aren't as big a club, which is why they've never been further up the tables. Same goes for the city. More people than Newcastle but less well known and far less cultural, scenic and historied.

You do not want to know how many hours I'm at But I'm not a beginner. I think I can fast track you to being competent in less than 100 though. Have done it before. But yeah, it's an incredibly intricate game. The good thing for those of us from a football background is that positioning counts for a great deal.

On a case by case basis this is right. And even when considering his ideological position, at the time, it looked right too. Looking back though, he's complicit in all of this, albeit potentially unwittingly.

That doesn't punish them as much as it punishes us ffs. If anything, it'll just incentivise their homegrown industries to step into the shoes of the British ones they were buying from, in order to cut us out over time. We could arguably do the same thing back to them, but I'm not sure we have the capability to do so on the same scale.
