  1. God... let's hope he was guilty of something serious (kind of a weird thing to say, but...). As it stands, this is pretty tragic...
  2. If he's right about the economic shock element, it could be enough to kick us into another GE. And tbh, at this point, we need as much damage to happen as possible before we're out in order to give us the best possible chance of turning it around again.
  3. It means the ranking system will class me as a low skill player because of my limited time on this account. So it'll go 'this guy has 10 hours play time" rather than "this guy has xxxx hours playtime"
  4. This thread caught my eye from as an example of how desperate they are to pull us down somehow https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/mag-callers-on-totalsport.1401416/ "We've been lucky and should be bottom 3" "One of them wanted to sack Rafa and thinks they should get Conte because their strip is like Juventus' " FFS
  5. Yeah, they are NEVER going to give us that. Agreed though, it would be eye opening.
  6. Ultimately depends on the other teams as much as them, though. The bottom teams might have a collectively shit season, thus lowering the requirements.
  7. If we're bought by an investment fund, it's to make money. Otherwise it's a pretty shit investment fund, surely?
  8. NUFC is a pretty well run club though (financially), and the recent influx of supercash might well be a game changer. Look at Spurs - their model is based on sustainability, as far as I can tell.
  9. You'd think he'd just retire tbh.
  10. I think it makes a certain kind of sense tbh. The club could be a lot bigger than it is - she'll just be looking to maximise ROI potential over 5 years or something. With the TV deal and so on, I imagine they'd get that, assuming we're successful.
  11. No, not Labour. I'm questioning why the 'SJWs' for want of a better term, aren't up in fucking arms about all of it. But having said that, I don't pay so much attention anymore, so maybe they are and I just don't care. I recall seeing an article in the Guardian suggesting that stuff written on the internet 15 years ago should be overlooked though.
  12. Seriously though, where are they? There's been a fuckton of stuff to run at here and I see no outcry from the usual suspects!
  13. Labour aren't in power, and I'm not really viewing the 'scandals' as a big deal in themselves to be honest. Certainly not on what we've heard so far. The difference for me is that May is literally cutting her party up, whereas Labour are actually being admirably resilient/relatively under the radar in the face of all of this. Depends on the mood of the progressives iyam. I note they've actually played this down so far, probably because they'd have to take Labour as well as the Tories, if they went for it. In the absence of them, there will be minimal moral condemnation and the Tories are in fact just pulling themselves apart for nothing. We'll see though.
  14. Lascelles will get his call up I'm sure, but it's probably too soon yet. Maybe a season of consistency in the top flight will do it.
  15. Not yet but this could do it. It depends what comes out.
  16. None of those countries' governments, bad as they are, have inflicted a national crisis of the scale of Brexit. Even Greece didn't, and they had a far better reason to than we did.
