  1. OK hang on, I'll try to join you now. Gimme 10 mins.
  2. Sorry, was out tonight. I've got all the adaptors and stuff set up though so maybe tomorrow?
  3. Corbyn endorsed by Brown... a little late but important I guess: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/gordon-brown-jeremy-corbyn-labour-leader-backs-phenomenon-people-change-left-wing-centre-tony-blair-a8047291.html?amp
  4. Was just reading the Guardian's take on it. Apparently the guy (I'm not very familiar with his work) is a leading feminist as far as comedians go, and has regularly satirised the hypocrisy of men in their interactions with women. He has stated that men are the single greatest threat to women in the world “How do women still go out with guys, when you consider the fact that there is no greater threat to women than men? We’re the number one threat! To women! Globally and historically, we’re the number one cause of injury and mayhem to women. We’re the worst thing that ever happens to them!” He continued: “If you’re a guy, imagine you could only date a half-bear-half-lion. ‘Oh, I hope this one’s nice! I hope he doesn’t do what he’s going to do.’” What a fucking charlatan.
  5. I echo Strawb here, it's a fucking bizarre thing to do.
  6. ... mate, I think you've confused KD with wykiki. Also stop drinking and posting ffs
  7. CT, whether Labour 'bribed' the electorate or not, the point remains that the current, centrist system, is falling apart. It's not Labour's fault that everyone is miserable. It's not even really the Tories when you get down to it, they've been following the same flawed framework as their predecessors - they're just too stupid to realise that they can't answer the question within that framework. It's going to happen one way or another. It has to and it will. Whatever people think they're voting for is not as relevant as actually reforming the system.
  8. Still believe it when I see it tbh... Nothing I've seen from Ashley save the appointment of Rafa, suggests there is a good outcome on the horizon in anything he does.
  9. Ouch... not good optics Parky...
  10. Well yeah actually. The level of political ability in this country is beyond hopeless atm.
  11. Would prefer a more capable left wing offering as well. Also agree on Brexit. Have to play the hand we're dealt though...
  12. mmm.... Blair was a Neoliberal. I dunno about that statement tbh. Having a real left wing alternative to the Tories will be worth it in the long run. Eventually the Tories are going to hang themselves, and people will just HAVE to choose the left. Lose a few battles, win the war. Once they get in once, and can put some seriously useful policies on the agenda, it'll be really hard to undo. Corbyn just needs to prove that his politics can work, and we'll be fine for a generation.
  13. Was too young to vote Blair the first two times and was out of the country and totally distracted for the third. I voted for Brown because I was afraid of an electoral wipeout for Labour and what the Tories might bring, but I was utterly disillusioned with their surrender of the narrative about the economic stuff even then. Wasn't taken in by Clegg and am pleased I wasn't tbh. Voted Miliband although very nearly didn't bother because I was so fed up with Labour and their nonsense agenda by that point. Thank fuck we now have an alternative to centrism that isn't xenophobia.
  14. I counted 4 on Chilli road last night... was actually quite taken aback.
  15. On the basis of what, will the takeover happen? Long way to go yet on that front, and we've heard nothing in two weeks now. I suspect Ashley will stick to his guns concerning allowing the club to spend what it makes. With the TV deal, this might be enough for Rafa. Don't think we'll go down even if he leaves though. You would hope that Ashley can see the financial value of having someone decent in place.
  16. Aye this is it. One of the good things about the Labour grassroots hijacking is that we can say it really isn't the same party as it was. So all this stuff about "Well the last time Labour was in power" rings hollow to me. And even then, Blair would never have let the shitshow unfold that Cameron did.
  17. Yeah fair enough but that was pre-melt down, the Tories have had 7 post Armageddon. Still no change. Corbyn clearly would change it.
  18. The lawyer used should have a record..?
