  1. Remind me... unlimited capitalism? Or have I got that wrong? The free market is paramount, right?
  2. Yeah that word is being used by almost all sides of the political spectrum now so it doesn't help much. I guess it'll become clear over time. FWIW I'm liberal too.
  3. Separate question - where would you place yourself on the political spectrum?
  4. Would you accept a reformed EU that elected officials and had greater accountability?
  5. Really? British people strike me as particular susceptible to being sleep walked into fascism given our predilection for just accepting the reality of things and not actually taking any action to bring about change from the ground up.
  6. straight into the EU thread. @SpaceCadet Its worth making clear tbh that hardly anyone on here voted out. No one will make a big issue of it generally but you're going to be standing alone in here on this. Well you'll have CT but thats actually worse than nothing.
  7. Given that I just called for a centralised EU superstate in the Brexit thread, he might actually believe this
  8. In For basically the opposite reason
  9. If you get called a cunt directly as well, we mean it affectionately. We seem to lose a lot of newbies to that particular misunderstanding. And it gets @Tdansmith all riled up.
  10. Cattermole thinks they've got going now mind. 3 straight draws against midtable opposition will have put the fear into any side in that division for sure.
  11. Still think us, but if they go down again I think we have to consider that they're just too small a team to be a rival. We should perhaps consider adopting them as one of those small clubs bigger teams loan players to. Like Gateshead.
  12. Joey Barton taking over Fleetwood Town https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43814308
  13. I mean at the rate they're going, Carlisle might become a more significant fixture for us. And arguably next season would they would be nearer Sunderland's level than we would be as well.
  14. If by some freak occurrence they were to go down again next season - or maybe if they got stuck in midtable in L1 for an extended period of time - how long do you think it would take for us to basically 'forget' them?
  15. Aye, guess so. Unsure about the bit with other teams though - Southampton looked very poor against us. I can only assume WBA must have been even more insipid on more than one occasion. But perhaps you're right.
  16. I don't remember thinking we were going down at any point though... Maybe because of how shit many of the other teams were.
  17. 4 defeats, one draw, 4 more defeats. Dismal that
  18. I was exaggerating tbh but not by much.
  19. Surely at this point it's no less believable than May as PM and Johnson as FS?
  20. 3 weeks rolling coverage, debate in the house of commons about integrity in politics with recommendations that Labour gets its house in order, and probably a backbench led vote of no confidence in his leadership.
  21. I quite like this guy's stuff Broadly my position on it.
  22. There was absolutely no chance of anyone resigning over this. Zero. The Tories don't fucking care and are shored up by Brexit supporting, anti-immigrant voters. No fucking chance at all.
  23. There seem to be a lot of Everton fans saying things like "Yeah we knew he was pragmatic rather than pretty in his football style, but we didn't realise it was this bad..." Fat Sam is vindicating our views on him throughout more clubs as time goes on.
