  1. It is apparently 'tyranny' for the Lords to fast track Cooper.
  2. Ok, so how do we handle the Brexiteers on this issue?
  3. That's good news but surely there'd be hell on?
  4. I think it's completely fair to assume Russia is behind this in some form, and quite possibly even the US since they've never been keen on a strong Europe. But it's also a good number of fuckheads in our own country. Maybe we should make it treasonous to disseminate fake news, punishable by actual jail time (if you're the source at least) irrespective of who the fuck you are in the country.
  5. Yeah I'm really not sure how we deal with this now. Clearly some people in society are capable of existing responsibly in the age of bullshit, but many are not. One of my friends is an Indian lad who frequently talks about this phenomenon in India. Apparently they're very concerned about the use of things like Whatsapp since it has been leading to mob killings in rural areas by people being whipped up into a frenzy in community groups (which basically become echo chambers). They've banned it in certain areas I believe. It's similar here clearly - some people just can't be trusted in the age we live in.
  6. Have to say, supporting the point about No Deal propaganda on social media - I've seen an awful lot of (new) absolute bollocks coming out of Brexiters recently. I don't know how we fight this anymore, short of actually allowing the government to properly crack down on the internet.
  7. Fair point actually. I can't see anything about it except the Metro. I wouldn't have imagined they would just make something up but there really is nothing about it anywhere else. Maybe the elites are suppressing it /Parky.
  8. Then again, if we can have PV2 without No Deal as an option, maybe its back on. Takes some serious balls though, from the political class.
  9. Worth noting that Scotland wasn't included in that and London has a heavy population advantage, but even so. Depends on the campaign somewhat but people will be entrenched by now.
  10. There was a yougov poll doing the rounds yesterday that said every constituency in England bar the London ones wanted No Deal over Remain. I'm less and less sure about this referendum.
  11. Vote Leave encouraging de-selection of Remain Tories. Speaking of, we should probably get on that for Pro-Brexit Labour MPs.
  12. I just want to say that the Daily Mail comment section makes for glorious reading on this. Full of the usual "traitors", "will of the people", blah blah but also those certain individuals who believe that within a few years, the EU will send troops into the UK to kill them. Some who think that we will have a second referendum and that if remain wins it will have been rigged. "The people will erupt if this goes through". "We're now worse than Iran, Russia and North Korea(!)" I don't know if we'll get any kind of Brexit that will satisfy me - probably we won't. But I'm going to enjoy the apoplexy over this for all the schadenfraude I can get from it.
  13. Then the queen I think I read My thinking is that this would mean the Tories, if faced with Revoke or No Deal, have to revoke...?
  14. Holy fuck. Majority of 1. Die, No Deal, Die.
  15. Yeah I noticed that. Reassuring in a way since I don't trust Corbyn not to "compromise" on FOM.
  16. I stand corrected. It seems they may have rejected an amendment to it. Even the Guardian doesn't know what's going on anymore.
  17. And Cooper fails... What is the point in any of this.
  18. The Labour Party is finished if it doesn't back a People's Vote, in my opinion.
  19. It's finished if it doesn't back one IMO.
  20. Some concerning signs that if Cooper succeeds later, Corbyn will abandon PV2. No need for him to go for it after that, apparently.
  21. Isn't that the third time it's been 'killed' though? What does it actually mean?
  22. I'm just relaying what I read in the Graun. Would be hilarious if that was overlooked though.
  23. Confidence vote against May being mooted by 1922. No details whatsoever from Corbyn's meeting other than that it 'went well'. Fuck knows where we're ending up. I'm trusting Keir Starmer on all of this more than Corbyn, although apparently Sturgeon met with him beforehand and was reassured by what he said. Though she could just be over selling it as a pressure move.
  24. If that remains the case, then Corbyn is destroying Labour.
