Have to say mind, it's starting to cross into the realm of comedy for me
-
The man certainly seemed plenty stuck to.
-
Good luck to him then. Can't find it in myself to condemn a man who embarrassed the political class beyond any crimes against actual people that he has committed.
-
I don't know about that, Trump's loyalty only seems to extend to people who remain useful.
-
The US has come out and charged him with criminal activity... seems he was right that they'd come after him.

Is it that extreme an overhaul? They still have a several players who played for them in the PL don't they? It doesn't look to me like Ross is a very good manager in terms of game management or tactics, their new owners panic bought a guy who was barely worth £1m for £4m - thus demonstrating that they're no more financially savvy than Short, and their home support (or lack thereof) basically condemned them to consecutive relegations. So on that basis, I suppose, yes, it is an achievement for them to be looking likely to get automatic promotion.
-
I'm curious to see what happens to him.
-
Might be for the best, it's not going anywhere in Parliament anyway.
-
Aye but when I say quickly I mean it'll probably be the first thing on the table once May 22nd goes past without a deal being agreed. Once the Tories have to fight the EU elections, I think PV2 will be the only way forward to stop the damage to themselves - and that really is all they seem to care about.
-
Yeah Macron was playing a weird game last night but ultimately it doesn't matter much. If we're going to get this referendum it's going to happen quickly. We need to be absolutely insufferable about it now
-
I read earlier that they've allowed themselves the possibility to extend it to March 2020 by implicating some manner of review in mid-October. If the wheels are in motion before then, they'll let it through.
-
It's interesting that Francois is now the main poster boy of Hard Brexit. JRM a busted flush due to his late support for May's deal? Potentially good news for us anyway - while Francois and his ilk are getting all of this attention, they're not going to back down from their positions, this making May's deal impossible unless Corbyn enables it. And you'd have to hope he isn't stupid enough to do that without PV2.
-
If Labour aren't fully and clearly behind PV2 at this point they should be obliterated at the EU elections. It's a perfect chance since it doesn't harm them domestically but does send a very clear message. What we are going to need to accomplish this, however, is some manner of figurehead for Remain. Not Vince Cable.

I thought the telegraph was meant to have a modicum of dignity....
-
Well, not quite. We're contesting the Euro elections. That's a big deal for the Tories. It's going to be incredibly important for us to vote for Remain candidates in that.
-
If PV2 became clear, we'd get the extension until March 2020. That sounds like the final date anyway - October is better expressed as the date by which No Deal occurs if we still haven't got any semblance of a plan.
-
Also sounds like Macron is copping some shit for this from the other EU diplomats.
-
It's just enough time for a referendum apparently.
-
It does but does France want to be the country responsible for 'No Deal' all on its own? It seems that the likes of Rees Mogg and the other Brexit psychos issuing warnings to disrupt everything has indeed rattled the EU.
-
I think we'll still get it. I understand Macron's view but it doesn't sound like anyone else really supports him.
-
I don't understand why they're drawing this many games They should be winning 3-0 or 4-0 on a regular basis. Even if they go up, can they realistically claim to have 'enjoyed' the season?
-
Indeed. It's hard to argue that Blair and, to a lesser extent Brown, weren't the last of their kind in terms of true British statesmen.
-
I think one thing that has become very clear is that MPs are really not very intelligent people.
-
I really hope this is true but they just never die, man. They are political cockroaches.
-
About me personally? Indeed, they won't care. But I was pretty diehard in my support for Labour, and if i can get to this point then it's fair to say I won't be the only one.
