  1. Also worth noting that this is going to make for a brilliant episode for season 2
  2. That pie looks horrific... As for Sunderland today, it's been nice to relive some of the highlights of the past few years on RTG. Sack the board Sack the manager Sack Cattermole fans don't deserve this we're cursed I wish we had that paedo playing for us the mags are still jealous man 'absolutely gutted' followed by 'what the fuck is wrong with you marra, nee real Sunderland fan cares, now the team can focus on the league!! I'm glad we lost, me - winning would have been a distraction!" "I'm just delighted we got to the final man, a wembley final in my life time, the mags can only dream!"
  3. Sure but isn't that also giving them a platform? I mean i totally agree but that's the kind of thing we need to do alongside better political education possibly at school level. I just dont feel like continuing to ignore it is an option.
  4. We're back to a purge then are we? They aren't going to just die off either, they have their hooks into younger people as well through alternative media. It's going unchallenged. The education needs to start before this point for sure, but our indifference combined with the cynical opportunism of the right, has brought us here.
  5. Tommy Robinson and his ilk aren't here just because of Brexit. They're here as part of a wider and pervasive cultural war which is starting to infect all Western democracies. There is a serious danger CT.
  6. Worldwide phenomenon. I mean they're suddenly winning on all fronts, so idk, numbers must surely be rising.
  7. Ok so we're all agreed then. Given their numbers are rising, we're going to have to have a purge. I mean it's the only other option short of giving up. Engage with them, purge them, or lose.
  8. Why not? I mean I agree she's phenomenally stupid, but why can't she be informed?
  9. Indeed? That's a rather fascinating development given he was outside their offices a little while ago demanding them be torn down. I can't say I understand what the BBC are doing then. Well, unless they're agreeing with my view - although I would add that such views should only be aired if they are challenged.
  10. Will also add that no one is giving Robinson a platform except youtube. He was banned from Facebook and now others are being banned for even sharing images of him. They are trying to censor this and, unsurprisingly, it is only serving to break down trust in our institutions among the people who had their heads turned and can't understand why we dont just "engage with Tommys arguments". He is literally becoming a martyr. He has worldwide fame as a freedom fighter now ffs. What the fuck are we doing?
  11. Then you seem to agree with me. These people need to be engaged with and talked to. Understood. Enfranchised. They have the views they do because we haven't bothered and the vacuum was filled by the far right. We need to engage it and its too late to put the ideas away. They're out there.
  12. In the 2015 election, 25% of UKIP voters voted that way as a protest against the two main parties. So that's about 1 million voters. The ones not being listened to by anyone except the far right.
  13. These people are getting a platform whether we like it or not. The internet sees to that. So to stick to what you're saying we need wide ranging censorship that cracks down on all views outside if a certain window. Thus driving them underground and bringing us closer to actual fascism. The BBC has not covered itself in glory with coverage I agree, but the cat is long out of the bag now and is happening all over the world. The far right is rising and we do nothing because we believe simply not talking about it will make them go away. People need to be better educated politically, and their grievances need to be understood however uncomfortable they may be to hear.
  14. But the problem with that seems to be that they're growing in number. By not tackling their ignorance, we have allowed the hate peddlers to tell them what their problems are, which is why we have a woman blaming the EU for what i assume are Muslim grooming gangs. This needs to be dealt with, not ignored. All we are doing is surrendering the narrative.
  15. Alternative? You want them shot? We need to listen so we can understand and fight it properly.
  16. After the perfect behaviour of the Remain march last week, we are now of course seeing scuffles with police, threats and jeering towards politicians, and general douchebaggery from the Leave crowd.
  17. I stand by my standing prediction. Indicative votes, favourable outcome, PV. Possible GE. May's MV4 curve ball a slight concern.
  18. May is apparently considering running MV3 against the consensus option discovered on Monday She's such a bastard.
  19. Her speech looks like acceptance. "In just 14 days’ time. This is not enough time to agree, legislate for and ratify a deal, and yet the House has been clear it will not permit leaving without a deal. And so we will have to agree an alternative way forward. The European Union has been clear that any further extension will need to have a clear purpose and will need to be agreed unanimously by the heads of the other 27 member States ahead of 12 April."
  20. Doesn't seem to have saved them though... Labour sounding confident?
  21. Seems the threat of Boris Johnson as PM is doing enough to deter Labour from switching. Maybe May's incompetence has done us a final favour with that.
