  1. I can almost imagine reading the "didn't want promotion this season anyway, too soon - it's a project marra, needs time. The mags would fucking love to be in our position man, only way is up" now
  2. They look a lot less certain now... appreciate they have that game in hand but so do Portsmouth, and the latter seem to be on some kind of run.
  3. Ok. Redeeming themselves in my opinion. Tbh I felt that was implied
  4. Obviously not watched this yet but Disney's final shot at redeeming itself over starwars is imminent:
  5. I'll vote whichever Remain candidate looks most credible in my area. Literally do not give a shit about anything else.
  6. Should we be pleased about the Brexit Party getting going? It'll presumably divide the Brexiters in the local elections. Also, dare I say it, less extreme now than UKIP?
  7. I stand by that vote actually, because it was clear as day that many Remain voters backed Labour because their position was actually pretty nebulous, and that suppressing a Tory majority was the only chance we stood of achieving anything. It's by virtue of the remainer rally to Labour that we're still in the game at all. But what it wasn't, was an indication that 80% of people wanted Brexit.
  8. It does need co-ordination, but the best vehicle to mobilise behind in theory is Labour and they remain totally clouded on their actual preference. I'm not voting for them again only to see a renewed narrative for "80% of people voting for Brexit backing parties". If Labour come out unequivocally for PV2, then they're the best bet for making the point. If they don't then Remainers need to abandon them entirely - the problem is rallying people around something else, and getting the message out widely enough.
  9. This is the thing that really is fucking nuts about this. This uncertainty is actually affecting my personal life to some degree, and I really don't have much call for it to do so. If it's affecting individual lives, it must be wreaking absolute havoc with business. How on earth are we supposed to prepare for anything? It's not even as if we can say that it will definitely be October since May might get the WA through at any given moment in time and at best we'll get a few days notice (while I do appreciate that there is a transition period attached, there will be some industries that immediately change based on just the outcome becoming clear). This really isn't about the political parties anymore, it's way fucking bigger than them. If they can't sort this out, fine, but give it back to the people. Fuck off trying to hold the country to ransom just to get the perfect deal through for their parties.
  10. When you consider what that money could have been used for...
  11. It does? they all spend a lot of time in the Ecuadorian embassy?
  12. It's a fascinating waste of his life mind. 12 months in a UK jail, 5 years in the US... added to the 7 in that embassy.. idk man, that's some resolve. Must have been tempted to end it a few times.
  13. Have to say mind, it's starting to cross into the realm of comedy for me
  14. The man certainly seemed plenty stuck to.
  15. Good luck to him then. Can't find it in myself to condemn a man who embarrassed the political class beyond any crimes against actual people that he has committed.
  16. I don't know about that, Trump's loyalty only seems to extend to people who remain useful.
  17. The US has come out and charged him with criminal activity... seems he was right that they'd come after him.
  18. Is it that extreme an overhaul? They still have a several players who played for them in the PL don't they? It doesn't look to me like Ross is a very good manager in terms of game management or tactics, their new owners panic bought a guy who was barely worth £1m for £4m - thus demonstrating that they're no more financially savvy than Short, and their home support (or lack thereof) basically condemned them to consecutive relegations. So on that basis, I suppose, yes, it is an achievement for them to be looking likely to get automatic promotion.
  19. I'm curious to see what happens to him.
  20. Might be for the best, it's not going anywhere in Parliament anyway.
  21. Aye but when I say quickly I mean it'll probably be the first thing on the table once May 22nd goes past without a deal being agreed. Once the Tories have to fight the EU elections, I think PV2 will be the only way forward to stop the damage to themselves - and that really is all they seem to care about.
  22. Yeah Macron was playing a weird game last night but ultimately it doesn't matter much. If we're going to get this referendum it's going to happen quickly. We need to be absolutely insufferable about it now
  23. I read earlier that they've allowed themselves the possibility to extend it to March 2020 by implicating some manner of review in mid-October. If the wheels are in motion before then, they'll let it through.
  24. It's interesting that Francois is now the main poster boy of Hard Brexit. JRM a busted flush due to his late support for May's deal? Potentially good news for us anyway - while Francois and his ilk are getting all of this attention, they're not going to back down from their positions, this making May's deal impossible unless Corbyn enables it. And you'd have to hope he isn't stupid enough to do that without PV2.
