  1. They should be fucking annihilated for this. And thanks to the Tories, they will be. That's the one silver lining at this point, the BBC getting curb stomped by the beast they've been kowtowing to.
  2. But look at the numbers. Are you telling me that 10% more old people as a minimum have decided to vote? The guy also mentions, perhaps a bit more alarmingly, that there has been a 10% shift in youth away from Labour. Hopefully that's to LD though. Decent shift in over 60s from Tory to Labour too. Idek what's going on now.
  3. I mean 90% of everyone over 80? Are 90% of people over 80 even able to stand up unassisted?
  4. Which means they've significantly overestimated old people turnout, and significantly underestimated young people turnout (I hope).
  5. @Gemmill Is this potentially encouraging? Looks like the Yougov poll has given over 60s the heaviest weighting for years..
  6. Lib Dem in Cardiff throws his support behind his Labour opponent...
  7. Although looking at the list there are about 3 Labour MPs who should consider it and 20 LDs...
  8. Lib Dem candidate is urging all LDs to vote Labour in Stockton South. I'd kill for some of the Labour equivalents to do likewise. Raab's seat maybe.
  9. This is a good fucking point too. We need to actually see the BBC standing up for its impartiality, not just be reassured that it's all happening.
  10. Fair enough. I mean to me, she has the cocky swagger of someone who either knows they're untouchable (i.e. backed from on high) or who has something lined up for herself post-shitshow anyway. But if the BBC really wants people on side, it has to actually make examples of the people doing this. And not just when it's too late.
  11. You've literally just been going on about how "technically" no one has done anything wrong because even though literally everyone will take things said by journalists on Twitter as gospel, it doesn't actually count as a BBC broadcast. So when I say they're calling your profession into disrepute, it's because no fucker knows that they can just tweet any old bullshit because they arent scrutinised there, and it gets spread around as the truth. LK and Peston know they can. And they know people don't know that they can. So the BBC lends it's impartial credibility to them, they shit all over it, and then you say it's our fault for not appreciating that the nuance is that they can act like partisan spunksockets all they want on Twitter because it's not actually the BBC. If I was you I'd be fucking furious. I'm furious on your behalf even.
  12. So it's not illegal for them to look at them? That's surprising to say the least. Are you sure? There's people on Twitter reporting it to the electoral commission...
  13. Gloom man. Seriously. Why are you defending these people? They've called your whole profession into disrepute by being partisan fucking arseholes. They've let us down, they've let you down. No one is going to rally to the BBC when the Tories come for it. It's not because we're all being unfair it's because they're at best -at best- fucking shit at what they're meant to do. At worst they operate in a state of institutional fear of the Tories which prevents them from acting as they should. With the exception of Kuenssberg who surely must be one of Johnson's mistresses.
  14. Scary in that the combined might of both clearly trumps Labour's tally. A bit of tactical voting on their side and we're in trouble
  15. Picked this up in RTG's politics board, apparently from Yougov constituency polling. Tory/Labour/BXP marginal. Kinda scary... constituency Con Lab LD Brexit Barnsley Central 17 42 4 33 Barnsley East 23 40 5 28 Hartlepool 30 37 5 27 Kingston upon Hull East 25 40 6 25 Doncaster North 24 44 5 24 South Shields 21 42 7 23 Easington 23 46 6 22 Normanton, Pontefract and Castleford 29 41 6 22 Kingston upon Hull West and Hessle 29 41 7 20 Washington and Sunderland West 28 42 5 20 Wigan 28 43 6 20 Jarrow 23 46 6 19 Rotherham 30 41 7 19 Wentworth and Dearne 31 42 6 19 Blaenau Gwent 23 43 5 19 Doncaster Central 33 39 5 18 Houghton and Sunderland South 29 43 5 18 Kingston upon Hull North 26 45 6 18 Hemsworth 33 42 4 17 Makerfield 30 45 5 17 Middlesbrough 25 47 5 17 Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney 19 49 4 17 Redcar 34 39 6 16 Rother Valley 42 34 4 16 St Helens North 27 48 6 16 Rhondda 15 49 4 16 Cynon Valley 20 44 4 16
  16. As long as our interests align with his, I'm fine with that. He's carried out more scrutinous interviews of Tory MPs in this election than the BBC has, that's for sure.
  17. I'm starting to think Piers Morgan doesn't want the Tories to win. Which is just weird. Just called Johnson a coward for not doing an interview with them (and running away).
  18. This business of Matt Hancock having deliberately faked news and spread disinformation about that kids in Leeds hospital should be front and centre today. I daresay nothing of any relevance will be seen on the BBC though.
  19. In some encouraging news, my 97 yr old gran who votes Tory always, and voted for Brexit, has voted Green because she finds Johnson repellent. Not sure that means anything but it surprised me a bit
  20. I would say the tactically astute thing for Labour and basically everyone to do tomorrow, is to say there's zero risk of a Corbyn majority government, so feel completely free to vote for Labour, LDs, whoever. All that matters is killing Brexit and kicking out the Tories. There is no risk of anything on the other side so there's everything to gain and nothing to lose from a tactical vote.
  21. Apparently last time out in their final poll, Yougov predicted 306 for the Tories. So they're 33 stronger. I mean, it's gonna be fucking close but it's the hope that kills you so I'm going to be writing the whole thing off and getting hammered on election night if it looks close.
  22. How does that compare to 2017? I feel like we're still toast here. Any Tory majority will break us.
