  1. He was an utter liability at LB. Can't remember the specifics, but I'm sure part of his LB spell coincided with some dreadful runs of results. I kept banging on about how utter dross he was in possession and his vulnerability against pace. And to those who reckon he's worth a shot at CM. Did you see his performance against Man City? Their midfield made him look well out of place. Looking decent against a shitty QPR midfield isn't difficult, but try him against an actual midfield and he'll look the player he is. Can strike a FK though.
  2. Was chasing down a counter when he injured himself, which his oafish misplaced pass instigated. Find this all rather bizarre. The lad is nowhere near as good as being made out, never was and never will be, injury or no injury. His best bet would be to sustain a career ending injury, then people will look back at a player who should have won the ballon d'or were it not for cruel, cruel fate.
  3. On Ayoze. The lad's general play outside of the box is very, very raw. He's in the side because of his superb box play and that's OK with me. Even though he didn't score today, he got himself two chances and produced competent attempts. Plus he showed signs of improvement in his overall game. I hope we continue to find room for him and he grows into one hell of a player. Oh and QPR are really, really, really shit. At what point were Willo and Dummett tested today? Did Krul even make a notable save?
  4. Dunno, we were only 2 players short of the team that won 2-0 last weekend and our 11 was comfortably superior to a team that has lost every single away game this season. 1-0 is not good enough at home to QPR. Cannot keep scraping through against the dross, it's unsustainable in the long run. We all know Pardew has a tactical set-up that does a job on the opposition attack and that it works well against the top teams, but he's had 3/4 seasons now to sort out a system that can beat the lesser teams far more comfortably than we manage.
  5. Don't forget this gem lads: “The right hand side of midfield, if we didn’t need him through the middle, is probably his best position. I don’t think, with the team at the moment, that he’s going to play out there when Obertan is playing so well, so it’s about him adapting his game."
  6. Urgh, now Colback is on set pieces. Corner number 1 goes straight to Green
  7. Should have taken Gouffran off for Cisse.
  8. Cabella off   Fucking deranged.
  9. This reminds me of the Leicester game. We're at home to lower table dross and utterly terrified of them.
  10. Wasn't always the case. He's been molded into Jonas mark II.
  11. Also I'm sick of hearing, "Dummett launching it towards Perez." Lad is up against Dunne and co. Just getting beasted on every hoof. We have 4 lads in attack who are really good with the ball at their feet. Let them play and not try this second ball winning hoof ball, at home to QPR?
  12. Am baffled why Gouffran came on ahead of Anita. Gouffran has gone in at 10, which has forced Sissoko to play deeper. Two issues then as Sissoko does his best work in the final third and Gouffran does no attacking work in the final third. Just bring the CM we have on the bench on and carry on with the system? Vurn's a better footballer than Taylor anyway
  13. Gouffran playing at #10 is laughably defensive. We're at home to QPR and we're playing defensive minded players in advanced positions.
  14. Ha. Genuinely expected this to be a serious thread. I guess I'd better mark a card...
  15. Abeid is a better footballer than the Ginger Pirlo. Hope he pushes on from here and becomes a regular.
  16. Dummett at CB and Ryan Taylor at CM?
  17. Living in hope that a corner has been turned. More offensive players on the pitch, more players playing in their natural positions, less Obertan.
  18. Can't grumble though given that we're matching last season's "good performance." I know the commentators are calling it lackluster and that we're a team that is out to get beaten, but as long as Pardew is happy...
  19. Ben Arfa playing in a Hull team that get results against Arsenal and Tottenham. Marveaux tearing it up in France and the Europa League. Yanga-Mbiwa starting for Roma in the Champions League. Also kept another clean sheet away to Sampdoria yesterday. And here we are losing, again.
  20. Love when Ben Arfa knocks the ball 10 yards past his man, gives him a 3 yard head start and says "come on then, go get it" :smug:
