hmm the move sway from 6 could explain it. Did you both used to have your dinner together in the middle, at the tables near the shop? so she is deluded then
-
I was once having a tab outside building 6 and caught a right sight of some bleach blondes arse as the wind blew up her poor excuse for a skirt. Lovely little thong she was wearing. If its the same smooth its gotta be said you've done well for yourself. None of us could figure out what she was doing with the ugly bassa she was with Might not be you cos I haven't seen her for a while
-
Kate Lawler hasn't been posing on the front of the papers in a bikini for a while... not connected to this of course. Just an observation

to be fair Luque has played LM for us so far hasnt he? I reckon he's been bought for both if that makes any sense. On the left to replace Robert but an eye on the fact he can also play as a striker too...
-
no he's not comparable to Luque but do you really think he's been given a fair chance to show what he can do? A start last night were he played poor along with the rest of the team and thats it, not good enough. He may never get a sufficient run out but thats life. Like I said he might not be good enough, and as a first choice striker he certainly isnt, but he could still do a job for us. Im sure he's better than what we saw last night.
-
A little harsh. One game in a cup tie at Grimsby where no one apart from Zoggy played particularly well ( I wouldnt be backing up Parkers claims for an England spot on last night for instance). The amount of pressure on the lad must have been a factor. He might not be good enough but just in the same way I wont write Luque off after what we've seen from him I wont do the same to Chopra yet either. Maybe a change in position will do him good. He looked promising when playing RM preseason 04. I know it was only in freindlies but still he showed a bit of potential

but in contrast to your point about having no non white high court judges, senior politicians etc the US is completely the opposite. Yet its the most racist country in the world ??
-
exactly mate and thats my point. It isnt just about race the social reasons for the disparity need to be tackled, on both sides. Simply looking favourably on non white applicants wont do that
-
Now that's bullshit. The Police Force is a racist institution, as admitted at its highest level. Would you want to apply for a job where you're going to get abused daily? Not just by the people you're policing but by your co-workers? Oh aye racism is all down to black people having a persecution complex. Jesus. They have been persecuted and have every right to have a bit of a complex. My cousin has been told by 3 separate girls (who he liked and was 'intimate with') that they couldn't actually go out with him because their dads would kill them. You know what it's like to hear that? I mean, people get dumped for good reasons and turn to drink, but being dumped because of someone elses ignorance will give you a bit of a chip on your shoulder. With every passing generation things get better. Working class people are probably the least racist (since most black people are working class) and I think football would be far more inviting than rugby. 49120 I never mentioned a persecution complex, tell me where i did. Neither did I say that racism was down to what I was pointing out. Thanks for reading soemthing into what I wrote for the sake of a one liner, nice one. Its merely about how minority groups are less represented in certain areas. There are cultural reasons for this that are not based on race. The Met actually had a massive drive to recruit more officers from minority groups, what happened? No applicants. Why? You're right in that the image of the police force probabaly is a factor. The biggest though is that it just isnt done, peer pressure. Its the same with the white working class. Theres plenty of people who I know who would treat me differently if I was a police officer, theres some who wouldnt have anything to do with me. Achievement and success at school arent celebrated or held in high enough regard. Its nothing different than the likes of Sydney Poitier, Spike Lee and Denzel Washington have spoken out about. Young black culture needs to look at what it holds in high regard. At the moment its lawlessness. Why the disparity between asians and blacks then in the figures? Are we more racist against blacks than asians or do the asian community have differing values? Its a generalisation and obviously doesnt hold true for all young black people but no one can deny theres an issue there.
-
you're more intelligent than putting the reasons for those statistics purely down to race Whats the average age of a high court judge or someone senior in the civil service? How many people from working class white backgrounds are in those positions?
-
nice analogy, complete nonsense, but nice all the same the white dog isnt getting more than it deserves, neither is the black dog unless you are saying that black people arent in certain positions because of the colour of their skin which as far as Im concerned is rubbish. It has to be on merit. Any discrimination of any kind is wrong, even positive, all it does is reinforce negative views in the minds of the non positvely discriminated. You dont have a lack of black police officers because of the police force being racist , you have less because less black people apply for that type job. Same as you have less working class white people in the police force. There are cultural reasons why people belonging to these groups are going to be less represented It comes down to education. Thats the only way you are going to change peoples views and the only way people can better themselves. Young black culture as a whole needs to have a good hard look at itself and what it values and what it celebrates

Five minutes? Well, yesterday was Kick Racism out of football day Renton. So for the first time ever I registered as not_a_racist As the day was done and the event gone. I renamed as Bez. A man I saw many times with the Happy Mondays. Been here for about 36 hours now. 36 hours = 36 *60 = 2160 minutes Not every 10 minutes as you claim. Thanks Yours sincerely, The smug, arrogant bastard! 48789 I thought you registered several days ago with that username and considering one of your first posts was having a pop at HTL I thought the username was in reference to previous with him..
-
Well thats another argument altogether but one worth pursuing, if a term is acceptable in the community its referring to then why cant other races use that term? Personally I always think its a terrible word which can only be a put down but if its used widely in the black community then can it be racist? I dont know 48771 all depends HOW its used. Same as 'bling bastard'. I'd say it certainly could be used in a racist manner but not necessarily. It comes down to whether bling is meant to be derogatory or just to identify. In the same way as lanky bastard is calling someone who's tall a bastard, bald bastard is calling someone who's bald a bastard, ginger bastard is having a pop at Gemmill. It could be that solely bastard is the insult.

I know everyones entitled to their opinion but Shearer was woeful. He isnt even dominating in the air like he used to, he lost more headers than he won. The Sunderland CB's handled him comfortably and they're hardly top quality, Caldwell ffs!! His distribution was even poor. Emre, Nobby, Shola, Taylor and Ramage deserve a mention. The rest were average to poor

I said obsessed with I didnt say fancy. Of course the shy kid never gets the girl and in the future realises where he went wrong when he has an epiphany one night while he's eating pillow.
-
ah mix tapes. I thought it was only nerdy shy kids in american teen movies who made these. You know, the ones who are best mates with the girl they are obsessed with. Its all a bit gay reallly isnt it.

some fair points and I like I said I can see where you're coming from but rather than reinforce Souness's actions I see the comparisson with Ferguson to show him an even less favourable light. If I recall this is where we ended last time you cant compare Anderson as a CB to Jenas's performance as a LB
-
Anderson did play CB too, McClair also dropped back into midfield. I didnt mention those players individually. The point is still valid they were replaced when the time was right. When there was appropriate cover in those postions. His approach to Whiteside and McGrath was different to Robson, why? Because of his worth to the club. Performances of individuals, how long they took to settle doesnt matter. Anderson was actually Fergusons first signing, wasnt bombed out of the club and guess what? He was a drinking pal of Robson, McGrath and Whiteside I'd forgot about Webb. Reinforces my point though about moving players on AFTER adequate replacements and cover had been bought. It doesnt matter how often they were used, they were used. Could Souness have not used the same approach with Bellamy and Robert? You cant compare Souness getting rid of two of the teams most important players , without adequate cover lined up, to Ferguson selling players 2 1/2 years after he took over. The difference is there for everyone to see , its like night and day. What line did Stam not tow? He's actually a unique player in Fergusons history, its hard to tow the line when you dont know what it is. I havent ever mentioned values so I dont see the point of the question. Players who are known to be injury prone and being sold rather than bought get less in transfer fee. I know what you are saying and I dont disagree that they had similar jobs to do, ( although the Man U job has its own unique pressures), Ferguson took his time, did it right and slowly moved the club forwards putting the best interests of the club before his own personal issues. Souenss hasn't done that ever. He bought the replacements after he sold the players and I'd argue there still isnt sufficient cover in those positions. Edit: in response to your edit, McGrath's career by all accounts was coming to an end , he missed a lot of game sthrough injury and his knees were fked, the fact he defied all medical advise and played on without becoming a cripple (yet) doesnt come into it. . Strachan, like I said knew his time was up the moment Ferguson got the job, they had history. Ferguson still kept him and used him until 2 1/2 years later when he flogged him.
-
you fail to see the difference though, same as the last time we went through this Fergie eventually got shot of players who's drinking had made them worthless to the club, but he took his time. McGrath not replaced? Fergie bought both Anderson and Bruce in and then Pallister before getting rid of McGrath. Whiteside didnt need replacing because due to injuries he wasnt in the side anyway. Robson although a drinker and having his own injury problems was important enough to the club that he stayed. If McGrath was the same Im sure he would have too. Academic though. Strachan who he had a previous issue with stayed for another 2 1/2 seasons before being sold. You cant just name players who left and say they weren't replaced. Moses? How about McClair and Ince as replacements? His actions are in direct contrast to Souness's. He didnt ostrasize two important players almost immediately after taking the job. There is no similarity at all to Fergusons and Souness approach to (arguably) doing a similar job. The way he has chnaged his mangerial approach to players who are important but are 'trouble' (eg Robson, Cantona) speaks for itself Stam is a strange one though. Its still a mystery even to him. He was a model pro, never in trouble. His book is published which states that Ferguson tapped him up and he was gone. There were no indications that Ferguson told him not to go ahead with the book so its not a case of not towing the line.
-
not all strictly true McGrath - sold equally because of his injury problems and the fact that fergie had lined up Englands most promising CB as his replacement. I know he went to be a solid performer for Villa but no one expected him to. Whiteside - Again injuries played a major part on top of his drinking Strachan - Personal issue between him and Ferguson. Strachan has stated that he knew his time at Man U was up the minute Fergie got the job. The fact is though that Ferguson didnt sell him until his third season in charge. As much as McGrath and Whiteside where part of the drinking club so was Robson and he wasnt sold. To me that shows the difference between Ferguson and Souness. Ferguson put aside his personal issues and replaced those players when it was right for the club , not his own ego. Even Man U couldn't afford those sweeping changes so he worked with what he had and replaced the players when the timing was right. McGrath, Whiteside and Strachan in 89. He didnt do a Souness. Good management all round... Stam was just childish though. I wouldnt say it was a case of towing the line either. He made one embarassing ( to Ferguson) statement in his book and that was it, he was out. He was a model pro though
