1. I can confirm this tale, the big one is like Nanny from Count Duckula, fucking massive. The geoff capes of the rug munching world, beard n all. I heard she can face press 50 rugs in one sitting. 60688 does the little one look like a rat with a shaved head and lennon glasses? Always decked out in some form of NUFC clothing?
2. After all that forgot to add my own code 103139019558
3. So many If you've never played Mario 64 before your in for a treat, the control doesnt work as well as having an anologue stick but theres so much to the game it'll last you for ages. For puzzle games Meteos and ZooKeeper are two of the most addictive games I've ever played. Zookeeper is basically bejewelled which I think is in the arcade here but he touch control makes it really work. Advance Wars DS, Mario Kart, Sonic Rush and Castlevania. Feel the Magic and Warioware are fun games but their critics would say they're no more than a collection of mini games. Doesnt stop them being fun though and they both put all the functions of the machine to good use. Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan and Jump Superstars are Jap only at the minute but definitely worth importing. Kirbys canvas curse and Yoshis's story are short simple games but use the touch screen for control really well. Another Code, Ace Wright Attorney and Trauma Center are worth a look too. You'll be able to pick most of these up fairly cheap of ebay. Touch Golf is getting some great reviews Good thread here http://ntsc-uk.domino.org/showthread.php?t...ht=top+ds+games Did I mention it has online Mario Kart
4. I thought you were about 16 ?? Which would have meant you were 2 or 3 when it was released? Fair play Polarium and Warioware came out on launch. Like any console there was a bit of a dry spell but its really come into its own in the past few months. Some games use the extra functions subtley some dont and like I said some just arent possible without the two screens and touch control. Advance Wars for instance doesnt use any of the features in a revolutionary way but with the touch control it just adds to the game. Sure all the features have been done before but they've been wrapped up in one machine together, expanding on the norm , adding extra possibilities should be applauded not dismissed. If that attitude prevailed then we'd be stuck playing Pong with paddles. D-pad? huh its a gimmick,. Why do you need more than one button? It is a lazy response to say its a gimmick. The fact that it has these different aspects and has some great games that make use of it mean it isnt, How many great games does it need before it loses the gimmick tag?. You should really check out the more recent releases and peoples impressions of them, something like Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan is fantastic game in its own right but I couldnt see it being on any other console . Happy with the cube? Well thats the point, it offers you something that you cant get on the cube , a different experience, a differnet type of game and one thats actually well suited to handheld gaming. Even those games that dont particualrly use any of the functions in any major way are still cracking games. Its a console that has arguably the best versions of MarioKart, Sonic and Bomberman. Again online Mario Kart, I cant think of anyone who would think this is a bad thing and its something I've been waiting years for Would you be happy with the cube if you based your opinion on two of the launch titles? As great as Monkey Ball is it wouldnt sell a console to me. DS as good as the SNES? No not even close but I've been waiting a long time for NCL to get back to those halcyon days and they've finally produced a machine which looks like it may do it. As good as some games on the 64 and GCN are they were few and far between and almost always NCL(includind 2nd parties like Rare) games, the DS is getting a level of 3rd party support like an NCL machine hasnt seen since the SNES Ive had Fire Emblem for a month now, you wont be disappointed
5. what is? That it puts its feautures to good use and is knocking out some great original games? Thats fact mate the games are there its such a lazy response to just say its a gimmick. Thats based on some misconception about the hardware. Like any console it comes down to the games. I'd put a fair bit of money on tha fact that anyone who dismisses it as such hasnt actually played much on one if at all. Played Yoshis story, Kirby's Canvas Curse, Castlevania, Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan, Advance Wars DS, Another Code, Ace Wright, Sonic Rush? Meteos for instance wouldnt be half as playable if at all without the touch screen control Its got possibly the best version of Mario Kart and its online too. Reason in itself to own it The parts which are my opinion are at least informed.
6. You don't need two screens for a game to be good. There's your gimmick. 61138 no you dont , but no one ever said that. Just because you do doesnt mean it isnt either. A lot of the games do you use the two screens effectively and its not a case of shoehorning some map or menu function into the second screen. But then its not just about two screens , more importantly its the touch screen too. A lot of the games just wouldnt work on one screen because of that. It all adds up to some unique games that you just cant play on any other platform. Its one of my favourite consoles since the SNES (bit before your time probably) and for the past few months has been knocking out class title after class title.
7. no Steve , not even close... one look into a Forbidden Planet will tell you that . I can almost smell the bo now
8. you want to make another one Jimbo for the fools who Sony duped into buying a repackaged PS2 when they already have one...mines been basically used as a movie player since June 61128 OK, so instead of my PSP I should have invested in a portable tv, a diesel generator and and a sack-barrow to cart around my "portable" PS2 ? 61130 Your portable PSP that you no doubt play 90% of the time 6 foot away from your PS2 as its virtually impossible to play in any kind of sunlight as its made out of the most reflectivre surface known to man when it comes down to it if I want to play Pro Evo, Burnout , GTA I'll play them on my big screen where they're infinitely more playable and enjoyable. PSP is a nice bit of tech but a poor handheld. The DS is well and truly putting it to shame at the minute.

10. I'd say most of its games are just good fking games, which ones are purely gimmicks? the fun ones? Its wiping the floor with the PSP when it comes to the games. Interested to know what a non gimmick based game is cos you've pretty much covered everything there by saying handhelds in general.
11. Ive heard he doesnt need one. Got natural insulation just like an eskimo
12. So there we have Alex, Gemmill and Manc-Mac. But there is neither a fat ginger nor a bald chimp. 53975
13. after some of the stuff thats been posted on here who was it that complained about someone saying Bowyer shagged their mates sister? ffs , you've got threads about moving shit around arseholes ...
14. I dont see where the issue is. You can be pleased with the win but still be concerned about the longer term because of the standard of the performance. You cant compare us to Chelsea because its not one bad game in isolation, we havent played 'good' football for a long long time. Even when Chelsea haven't played particularly well they're still a solid tough team which we aren't. No team has ever had success from playing poorly no matter how many lucky results they grind out.
15. Niki Stardust or Doctor Divine camp as fk
16. its not an evil eye its just she can see ghosts. You didnt brick it when that old woman suddenly turns round and screams 'get out of my chair!!'? its sound that does it to me and thats what the asian horrors do so well. The Ring (the Im in a minority who prefers the US remake), Grudge , Dark Water, tale of two sisters. All very good at building up the tension. The missus gets more freaked out your American shock value stuff which I just tend to laugh at.
17. the only bit I found scary was the lass in the bath , and that was only cos i was half way to cracking one off. Any tension in the film is ruined by that annoying lass who plays Jacks wife, I'd put an axe through her head n'all the google eyed ... The Eye is the scariest film Ive seen in a long time. I've got the sequel but havent managed to watch it yet
18. Dyer has got away on potential for far too long. Its time he started showing everyone what he can do rather than talking about it and showing flashes of promise. For a player with his pace he very rarely takes people on, his passing and shooting are no where near the level they should be. All this depends on him getting fit of course which looks like its never going to happen. If you're going to lower yourself to making threats on a forum I reckon your bluff should be called. Maybe a selection of forum members could form a circle in the street shouting "Fight! Fight! Fight!". You might get a smack in the mouth alex but its the right thing to do
19. I dont think so I'd say the confusion comes from the borrowing of the ISS name for the first western PS releases of Winning Eleven. The two games have always been completely seperate in Japan. He'll still get mentioned as being connected to ISS because of the western name. In Japan its Winning Eleven and Jikkyou World Soccer. Simplest way to look at it is if its on a Sony machine its down to the Tokyo team and Seabass. If it was on a Nintendo machine its Major A. Have you been playing 5 online on PS2, xbox or PC? It sounds as if its a huge improvement over 4 on the xbox which was a laggy mess for me
20. Are you sure about that? I remember there being a separate team that produced another version of ISS a few years ago. ISS World Cup, or something. I thought this 'Seabass' character had been the guy responsible for the main versions all the way back to SNES. Threads do have a tendency to move off topic on this forum! 52403 100% positive. ISS was developed by Major A who were based in Osaka. Pro evos devlopment team are in Tokyo. Not sure whats happened to ISS as the post 64 games were cack.
21. That particular gaffe was on pes4, I'm struggling to remember line-ups on ISS64! Same people though. 52362 at the risk of being a complete nerd Same publisher but completely different people pro evo when first launched on the PS over here shared the ISS name initially but its always been Winning Eleven in japan and is/was made by a different development team to ISS. Still prefer ISS to Pro Evo
22. A consice and outwardly simple solution to the whole middle east situation from one of my work colleagues "Turn the whole fkin place to glass"
23. If those pics are Jae Lee's work his style has changed completely I haven't colected comics for a long time. The last thing I had that he did was Hellshock and the Wildcats trilogy
