Between 1998 and 2010 net emmigration of uk citizens increased 6 fold, a tidal wave of Brits going abroad stealing jobs.
-
So over 10 years that's 5000 immigrants per year to the north east. 0.02 % of the overall population. If a company employs 5000 people, one more would be an immigrant each year. ..and most of them are Chinese or Indian anyway and unaffected by any EU freedoms. Well worth fucking the economy to sort that "tidal wave"
-
The"influx" is about the same as it was 10 years ago. 600k immigrants a quarter. Net migration growth has been driven by fewer people leaving the country. Over 400k a quarter back in 2006, less than 300k more recently. Ironically, the Brexit vote might sort that out indirectly as more people look to get out of the country.

The sandwich snaffling cunt.
-
Of course you were. It was a self fulfilling prophecy that a labor party working to unseat their leader would unseat their leader.
-
Actually, no, he's just a cock isn't he. Comes down to the last 2 and no vote splitting doesn't it.
-
You were most vocal on what a short stint he would have, long before Brexit campaigning even got started and became a hook to hang that hat on.
-
I expect he and Johnson have agreed to stand for appearances sake, in the hope of splitting each others (and Fox's) vote and making it a clearer path for May.

It's bollocks spouted to justify goals completely unrelated to Brexit. Which is why the membership would vote Corbyn in again.
-
Theresa May sat on the sidelines of the brexit debate and that makes her a credible option for Tory leader. Corbyn sat on the sidelines of the brexit debate and that leaves him in an untenable position as Labour leader. And they wonder why people disengage from party politics.

No, my dad's a taxi driver annoyed by all the etnics driving cabs these days too

Reading it now though, I can't see why you're so pleased with your vote/result @christmas Tree, or believe that Krugman has anything good to say about it, other than the markets haven't been as bad as they could have been. Krugman says...
-
No I didn't
-
I didn't disagree with either of you. Just stated counter facts. I've not read the full Krugman piece, but from your quote he seems to be saying this is not unheard of. He gives a couple of examples from the last 4 decades. Even if it were among the ten worst drop offs in that time, it wouldn't be good. And we're only 4 days in from the decision with 2 to 3 years to the potential exit actually happening.
-
Perspective is it's at it's lowest since 2008 and any improvement in the economy since then (you've been keen to praise the Tories for), any pain endured in 8 years of austerity, has all been for nought. It's bizarre that you've spent so many years defending what tiny growth there has been but are now so blase about it getting wiped out in one day.
-
I've not been following the thread entirely, but the pound, house prices, inflation and all that are obviously distinct from the FTSE 100 so I found it odd you seemed to be holding the latter up as evidence that brexit hadn't/wouldn't hit the economy. If you weren't doing that, champion.
-
Why do you expect the likes of BP to start being devalued because the UK economy is fucked? The UK market is a small fraction of their business.
-
It's ironic that the labor party generally think Corbyn was too weak on immigration and want a leader who will be more vocally opposed to it (chase the electorate rather than maintain a principle) but none has been more vocally opposed to the wars that have caused the refugee crisis the rags used to whip up mass hysteria.

People look at Osbourne and see a man who would rather have a shit weird looking hair do so he can tease some hair into the gap left by a receding hairline and they can't trust that sort of decision making. They assume he's hiding other stuff, so vote against him. That's why we're in the shit. Osbourne's fucking Trump over.

Can the GOT maesters on here tell me if the Starks and the dragon lass are going to form an alliance or if they're going to battle it out for complete control? I'll be annoyed if all the goodies decide to be friends.

You also came to prominence in the Nineties during the TFI Friday days, especially with your binges with Gazza and Chris Evans. Whats the best story you cant remember? I can remember all of it. Three- or four-day benders didnt exist. I had two kids at the time. Gaz used to come round and stay indoors. No one wants to hear that and its not me winding my neck in, God knows theres enough in the book but nobody can drink all day and all night. Oliver Reed maybe. But there was no Three Muscabeers, as The Sun put it. Poor Gazza, he took it seriously. He had more to lose. Gazza couldnt drink anyway he always used to pour his drinks away. http://www.shortlist.com/entertainment/danny-baker
