Deluded. We force the sacking of managers far too quick so we MUST get rid of Shearer before we have to sack him. Our expectations are far too high so we MUST get rid of Shearer in case he succeeds because by getting us relegated he's only catered to our ridiculously over the top demands. We are far too fickle so we MUST get rid of Shearer because 50,000 people chanting his name as we're relegated is the kind of support that's meant we've won nowt for 40 years. 1- What would your assement of your season be in comparison with your pre-season hopes and expectations? With Keegan - expected mid-table. As soon as he walked, I was praying for 17th. The funny thing is, it's because we're now such low expectation having mother fuckers that we see Shearer as the only answer. Ask anyone on here if they wanted Shearer after Roeder...or Allardyce....or even Keegan and the majority would have said no. It's because we realise full well that even Roy Hodgson (who's used as the sort of guy we should get) wouldn't leave Fulham to manage Newcastle, that we're desparate to hold onto what little we can....because if Shearer goes we're back with kinnear. How can that be deemed to be living on myths, dreams and beer?

You can't really damn a manager completeley based on less than a season. Was Brian Clough as bad as his 7 games at Leeds United suggest? I heard a good stat today though. Everyone's asking if we deserved to go down, so More or Less on Radio 4 looked into it and found that if the season went on forever, we'd be 43% likely to go down. ....yet in the last transfer window, without a fit left back at the club and staring relegation in the face, he sold the one man that could cover the position, didn't replace him and walked away with an £8m profit.
