Don't be silly it's a beautiful film. Each to their own. I far preferred the Consequences of Love. I did like the tailor though. -

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone The only one I've seen before, I thought I'd watch all 5 before the new one comes out in July. Unfortunately I only managed to get half way through the game of quiditch before turning it off. Don't remember it being that bad first time around like. Hopefully the other 4 will be ok first time around at least. -
A major negative effect of the American health care system is over-medicalisation of benign conditions, as you allude to re: imaging. Americans tend to be very interventionist, preferring to treat conditions with a shit load of drugs when its not really warranted. It makes my job a lot harder as I have to interpret their guidelines and review papers with an extra large pinch of salt. That's not to say their top end healthcare isn't excellent, because it is - if you can afford it. I've started seeing a worrying number of "ask your pharmacist if ..... is for you" adverts on UK tv. Most recently for weight loss pills.

Gomorrah Not at all as good as it's cracked up to be. Difficult to stick with for the first hour, but the second hour redeems it. -
"Kaka" Still cracks me up every time.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8100605.stm Completely bottled the economy and the "war of terror", let's see how he gets on with healthcare. I'd have thought the money they've given to the insurance companies ALREADY would keep everyone covered, but it doesn't look like it.

Christ man, you're the president, sort it out. Take a leaf out of Gaddafi's book. Now there's a man with style.

Why do people in football films always kick the ball side on? Can their team-mates not pass to feet? Shite. -

You've cherry picked one quote from the whole article there, as you did with the Shepherd quote in which you missed the point. It's a daft article but nowhere near as offensive as 90% of the articles we have had to put up with. It makes me wonder what type of article a journalist would have to write without this board being up in arms about something. It just makes us look overly-precious imo. You mean two quotes? I've been fairly consistent in slagging off most of the articles people have generally viewed as positive. I think 90% of sports journalism is uninformed drivell. I'll not lube up just because one of the proven arseholes damns us with faint praise. I did misread that section you picked up on. He is saying we could make a profit though, which is a crock.

My GP will get replaced by Papa Shango next.

Exactly, was a condescending piece of shit, written by a bumbling arrogant clueless old jock fool. Quite - my eldest lad went - it was nice for him to see Owen - why is it only our fans are mongs cos they are passionate about the club whilst other teams fans are generally tolerated - there seems to be a deeper agenda of ridicule and its a danger for football - the likes of this cunt and that utter wankstain syed have taken to mocking fans that chant and wear the colours - it seems the chattering classes love their footie but only the sanitised version minus any fervent support He'd prefer the kids were out stabbing each other for wearing the wrong colour bandana I guess.
-
Come on. It's patronising horseshit. "Many Newcastle supporters are sensible." What an exclusive. He calls the 20,000 kids that turn up to welcome Owen in the sunshine during the school holiday nitwits, as if the few fans with a brain cell should be embarrassed by them, and you think it's sympathetic?

What do you mean by indeterminate? If you mean she has symptoms but no definitive diagnosis then that's a tricky one, there's probably not a lot the NHS can do. I'm an employee, a user, and a friend and relative of users. I think the NHS is superb valur for money, I really do. Obviously, as discussed in previous threads, it can't provide all the services people would want, and it can't even really go on existing in its present form if the honest truth is told. Part privatisation and a two tier service are sadly inevitable, the question is which party you trust to bring in the best reforms to make this as palatable as possible. The bottom line is the tories cannot be trusted with the NHS, that's my opinion. No diagnosis. She has a problem with pituitary function. And yeah, it's not fair to blame the NHS, it seems to be a worldwide problem with the illness that the doctors have a stock response of "eat healthily and exercise more" because it's all a hazy mystery to them. We've got more answers from other sufferers on Yahoo forums and tests we've paid for ourselves in the last 2 months than in the previous 2 years of box ticking "hows it going? We'll do no tests as we're sure it's asthma, try this other inhaler" appointments.

What is it? 9 points? Wait until we're 12 clear.

I like where he says Shepherd showed how we could make a profit too. ...as if the fans should risk the clubs financial ruin to take multi million dividends...shared between 200,000 of us.
-
Not to mention it was the Leazes end "20,000" nitwits filled.

Is it just my perception or have they spent masses of cash on new hospitals to replace perfectly functional ones, so you still get the same service/wait, just in a shinier building? Or do we have more nurses/doctors/theatres/machines etc. now too? FWIW I couldn't have been happier with the treatment my dad got (cancer) and couldn't be more disgusted with the treatment my mother gets (indeterminate).
