A year ago to the day. Didn't quite appreciate it enough did he. Best leave the past year off your CV Derk. Nice one Tom. You had him pegged from the get go.

Anybody else think the club might not be sold?

Is this; a) Divine inspiration? 2) Insider knowledge? c) Finger in air? or d) Deluded Optimism? Delboy said so. -

the club.. What possible benefit could there be in doing that?

Unbelievable. Canny little weekend that man. Away to Cardiff on Saturday 12th, then a couple of days on the hoy in blackpool before the game on Tuesday night. Cardiff then Blackpool I'd rather poke myself in the eye with a shitty stick. How about Nottingham for a couple of days on the 17th October then on to sunny Scunthorpe for the 20th? or Coventry and Barnsley in December? or Derby and Swansea in February? or Bristol and Donny in March? Toontastic Beano?

Me too. I'd have complained if they didn't send the price list and invite me to move. Has anyone said owt about the lads who want to stand and sing congregating lower than level 7? If there's going to be 20,000 empty seats, surely they should be furthest from the pitch.

I don't like starting threads needlessly. Give credit to the person starting a subject. 3.5 years ago though. That's why the search facility is provided

At last, a sensible response. All this flippancy around such a mooving tragedy. Edit: Seems it's been done. I must have spongiform encephalopathy.

Was it recorded on film? I often wonder if TV shows are any better quality on Bluray than on DVD because the original source would normally be crappy video anyway wouldn't it?

My brother got me Slumdog Millionaire on Bluray for my birthday. God knows why, I don't have a player.

Don't be silly it's a beautiful film. I enjoyed it like but it's a bit all over the place too imo. That's the problem exactly. It suffers from the same as Babel or Crash or Love Actually. A multitude of characters with tenuous links (or none whatsoever) each labouring the same, obvious point.... The wages man - these gangs are dangerous...i want out. The Tailor - these gangs are dangerous...i want out. The second in command to the waste disposal dude - these gangs are dangerous...i want out. The kid who takes a bullet as initiation - these gangs are dangerous...Maybe I've been hasty getting in. The two scarface loving dudes - these gangs are dangerous... The only one I hadn't seen before was the tailor. A film about him would have been good rather than the 15 minutes he got. This was the film I'd been looking forward to most from last year, so I felt a tad let down. Perhaps I'd built it up too much. I loved the really raw working class areas of Naples and the loose camerawork...Little things like the flood in that womans kitchen so she couldn't make the money collector a coffee had a real charm about it lacking in many 'tight' gansgter dramas. If 'tight' is indeed what you're whinging about. Also the poetic elements were for me simply and beautifully done (the boys letting off the guns at the lake, the old bathtub with the boys doing the Scarface 'pantomine/homage'. For these quiet moments gave the film a very organic and thougtful grounding in a place where it was clear none of the main characters could really control the 'darkness' with which they were all entwined. I have seen it 3 timea and once at the cinema, I urge you to look again Nicos/Alex. You watched Hunger yet? There's simple, beautiful poetry....with a story. -
