I'd have thought not testing on animals is viewed as more ethical than testing on animals. ars imo. I'm no expert though. If you believe pharamceutical drugs are unethical feel free to not use them, and use unproven/ineffective/potentially dangerous medicine instead. Easy to say when you're healthy mind. People clearly have different ethical values so why should I accept theirs? Also re: GM food/organic. Which is more ethical, embracing a technology that may go some way to solving the world's food shortages, or feeling smug because you can afford to be a luddite as the third world starves? Anyway, the point is, Aldi is shit. Fop style argument right there like. They're giving the full picture. Personally I hold no great objection to testing on animals, i think it would be pretty hypocritical as a meat eater. I wouldn't try and argue that gives me any kind of moral high ground though, that I view the prolonged torture of sentient beings as perfectly acceptable so I can have a pill to lessen my headache after a night on the piss. There are veggie, hippies who WOULD refuse to use ANY product tested on animals. I have the utmost respect for their stance.

An Aldi voucher! Now there's a gift worth receiving. Seriously though. I like to recommend good service providers. Obviously you should use local traders as much as you possibly can, but if you really must use a supermarket Aldi is the cheapest, highest quality, most ethical choice.... Ethics scores.... Aldi 8 Costcutter 8 Co-op 7.5 Waitrose 7.5 Booths 7 Farmfoods 7 Londis 7 Budgens 6.5 Netto 6 Lidl 5.5 Marks & Spencer 5 Morrisons 4.5 Iceland 4 Kwiksave 4 Somerfield 4 Sainsbury's 3.5 Tesco 2 Asda 1.5 Note: Marks are out of 20 and five to nine is deemed poor. http://money.uk.msn.com/guides/ethical-mon...umentid=4752097

IF Asda sell it! It is funny like. Could there be a lesser voucher? Kwik Save perhaps.

What is the most ridiculous hatred you harbour?

So your answer is 'Gypsies'? Why don't you add blacks, Jews and Muslims? Err no my answer is travellers/gypsies/scummy louts (whatever they are named really doesnt matter) but people then if it pleases you...people who pay no money, sponge off the state, never work, camp where they please, let their dogs (and probably kids) shit everywhere, play loud music at night when decent people have to get up for work the next day, leave the place a shithole with their waste and rubbish so Torbay council have to pay to clean it up like the last site they were moved on from. I said "what a jip!" at work the other day and got told i was a racialist. I never had a clue -

Hmmm...and yet they still go out of their way to gift you shite you won't like. What did you get them for their birthday? I got the ASDA Voucher Sister a couple of Fantasy novels from a series that's she's in to and an Arts and crafts set. The latter because she's a Brownie leader and does a lot of that stuff. the other sister I got her a signed program from the stars of Billy Elliot stage show and a couple of odds and sods. Why? If you've told them before you don't really like vouchers I just wondered if they'd been similarly disgusted in the past and were getting you back. I was expecting you to say you got the fatty a diet book or summat. -

What the fuck? Are you being serious? Without being told? No. Me and my parents don't really discuss what's happening in the US electronic scene. Hmmm, having thought about it a wish list does make some sense, it's just so contrived though. Do you pretend to be surprised when you unwrap your present? I don't really see much difference between that and getting a voucher tbh. I'd rather just get a card tbh. I agree it's similar to a voucher....but at least you get to unwrap a gift on your birthday rather than ordering shopping for something yourself 2 weeks later. The danger is when people think like you, and rather than ordering from the wishlist, go off on a tangent and use the Amazon recommendations as a kind of thoughtful surprise. HEY McFLY!! STICK TO THE LIST!! I DON'T OWN A BLURAY PLAYER or a PS3! -

Hmmm...and yet they still go out of their way to gift you shite you won't like. What did you get them for their birthday? Well, one has gone to the effort of getting him a ticket for Derren Brown which personally I would think is a great present. And at least an Asda voucher is useful seeing as you can buy just about anything there. But he says he doesn't even like Derren Brown. It's like when no-one else fancied going to see Joanna Newsom so I gave my mam one of the pair of tickets I'd bought for christmas. She'd never even heard of her. -

As an aside, I would never expect any of my relatives to be aware that I want (for example) the new Dan Deacon LP. I find emailing my family my Amazon wishlist a good deterrant for those annoying cash/voucher gifts which I can't stand either (and even worse, a gift of something they think I might like....but invariably own already or ignored as it's not really up to scratch). ..and it's even less effort than going to Asdas for her. Makey sure your wishlist has a range of prizes from £5 to £500 like. -

It is a bit like. These often turn gold though I know where you're coming from, but it's unlikely that many of you will ever come close to being in contact with me and certainly not my sisters, so I feel a certain degree of anonymity. Shame really. Maybe if they knew, you wouldn't have to slate them behind their back. -

My old camera wasn't as good, but I liked these snaps from down the sea front last year...

I'm not particularly in the know mate. I had a budget for a camcorder/camera and checked cnet to see what was in my range. Plumped for the HDR-SR10E... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-HDR-SR10E-Def...2013&sr=8-1 15x optical zoom For a novice like me with no clue on aperture settings and all that stuff it takes good snaps on auto.
