  1. Didn't they get new public relations people in? "The fans have been incredible. It's understandable how they feel at the moment and everyone at the club is doing everything they can to repay the continued outstanding support." Repeat to fade. It couldn't be more simple.
  2. That's put me on the back foot. I feel like John McCain when Obama conceded a point to him at that healthcare summit on CSPAN the other week.
  3. Couldnt agree more with that. No surprise that you'd agree with the glaring contradiction that people should (or even could possibly) "continue living like they do in their native country" even while Britain pursues it's "global interests" in those countries. how is it a glaring contradiction ? Are you saying we put our forces into other countries and demand special schools, privileges, "human rights", benefits, and allowing them to burn and demonstrate against their hosts flag while doing nothing about it ? Are you au fait with the Green Zone?
  4. Christ no, have you no standards? Stupid question . She's always been a doll. Wore tight leather pants back in the day I'm sending her your name and this URL. I've already sent stronger stuff

  6. Or perhaps some people have strong convictions and actually believe in something other than this being a popularity contest, or about personal gain. The sheep imo are those that are led by the popular media in this country. problem is I don't think there are many convictions left in politics. Snouts in the trough (3 at court yesterday) illegal wars ( thousands killed for oil) Tories any better? Convictions....... There are other parties. As much as i loathe and despise the BNP I'd rather people voted for them (or the Lib Dems, Green, UKIP etc.) than not voting because of apathy towards the Tories and Labour. A 30% turnout and hung parliament isn't really the kick in the arse the two parties that have shared power for over a century need. They need to get out and start trying to win some votes then. I've never had an candidate knock on my door (lucky escape for them Used to love a good old doorstep challenge with the mormons) I guess its because we live in a "foregone conclusion" area. That aside they should still try. I live in South Tyneside too and I'm constantly getting flyers from David Miliband, the BNP and the local independents. Not so much from the Conservatives. The lass that's running in South Shields as the Tory candidate was in all my classes as at school.... http://southshieldsconservatives.co.uk/karen_allen_55.html http://karen4southshields.co.uk/index.php?...3&Itemid=10 She's a friend on Facebook so I posted on her wall how shocked I was that someone with a similar North Eastern upbringing to mine could end up a Thatcherite disgrace (there's photos of her meeting the witch on FB). For some reason she removed the comment though. Definitley would though.
  7. If it wasn't for schadenfreude I wouldn't have any kind of freude at all.
  8. At the other end of the spectrum, as much as it pains me to praise the mackem set-up... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/ma...and-make-a-loss
  9. He wasn't in that either. If he'd done half what people think he has he'd deserve a thread. As it is, it's of little more cultural significance than the death of Bamboo Harvester. RIP like.
  10. Booyaka!! The Green party are the least flexible and most dogmatic party of all. Take their stance on nuclear power. Idiots. I don't for one second think that the Green party would get in though, that's the point. A vote for either of the main two parties or not voting at all is the same thing. It shows support or indifference towards their almost identical approaches. An increased vote for extreme left and right wing parties will both pull the main parties out of the centre towards opposing extremes as well as increasing the flexibility of the extreme parties who will push to increase their vote by becoming more centerist.

  12. Exactly, but we still go over there, embrace them and make them embrace us by force....which tends to make the embrace uncomfortable. Quite a lot of Brits don't want to embrace or be embraced either as evidenced by this thread, but either you accept the pursuit of global interests and the associated global citizenry (the current way) or you shut off your border and become insular (the BNP way). You cannot have it both ways (as you and Leazes seem to want) where you pursue global interests by force AND shut off your borders and crush dissent. Once your kids got out of school and were working in Spain, say Spain started bombing the shit out of Britain. Who would you expect your kids to side with?
  13. The people living in my childhood home have a massive St George's cross on their bin. I hope they're just keen to support England in the world cup.
  14. Son Of Rambow Canny. Certainly better than Be Kind Rewind which has a similar storyline (amateurs remaking blockbusters).

Are you saying we shouldn't have any global interests!!! No, exactly the opposite. I'm saying we should embrace other cultures rather than force them to conform. You and Leazes seem to want it both ways though.
  16. Hopes Llambias Sacked Keith Edelman appointed replacement (or similar) Hughton survive the season Youth cup winners (touch wood) start making impressive reserve/first team appearances. Good passing football played on the floor with a bit of pace in the team Expectations Llambias to sack Hughton by Halloween Ron Atkinson to get the job (or similar) Youth cup winners (touch wood) sold A relegation dog-fight fought with long ball dross
  17. Whilst I can normally at least understand the ideas behind your thoughts, this is just flat out ridiculous. Well. It happened. Sadly. Unless you want to change history. Leazes thread derailment count: 24

  19. I have no intention of watching any video that involves a man sticking his massive cock in anyone's face.
  20. Supernanny was on telly the other day telling parents their kids were too fat. Cheeky bitch.
  21. To avoid derailing the other thread any more.... http://freakonomics.blogs.nytimes.com/2007...esity-epidemic/
  22. Sounds a bit dubious! It would. You've been brainwashed Everyone's got to eat so that thrives anyway. Very few people literally need to diet or die.
