  7. Grafitti. Be great if you were painting your house and some copper saw the brush, assumed you were daubing inflammatory language on the property and shot your face off. you're not normally so stupid. You are. of course, you're an expert on security aren't you No, I like to read about it and inform myself a little though. We all know your thoughts on 'books' though Good for you. Sort of proves my point .......... You have a point? Your books aren't doing much for your understanding......... Your responses don't help either. How does the American approach keep them safer than ours?

  14. one good thing about the yanks is if they get who did it they won't pussy foot around with them like we do. and the guns, they're good too... right? yep, I'd shoot them without a moments hesitation. Yeah! Shoot them all. That's makes us better... right? for shooting terrorists ? No. It gets rid of them. End of story. So you'd have a trial by jury first? depends on the circumstances. If its a situation whereby you need to shoot them then do it. I'm not interested in debating the road of "make sure they are armed" or any of this other bollocks either, which is do gooder nonsense. In the heat of the moment its either kill or be killed. If someone runs away, then you presume they are guilty and shoot before they detonate. If only someone would presume you were guilty
  15. What does that even mean? Classic Fishism. I agree with Gemmill re: super hero films and CGI. Which is why Kick Ass was such a refreshing change, highly recommended. Oh, and him off our friends in the North was the Baddy (not Daniel Craig or Christopher Ecclestone, the other one). Pretty straight forward really, I didn't think that the Hero-character was really evident. The big performances were by the antagonist and the supporting cast (Gary Oldman etc.) typical Renton Just so we are clear here, Protagonist can be used to describe the hero but a protagonist isn't always a hero. So yeah Renton's correct - it was a fishism. ok, in this film who was the protagonist? Batman/Bruce Wayne felt almost a sub-plot, when he was on the screen he was hardly a driving force in the plot. Two-Face/Harvey Dent seemed to be more integral to the plot as was the Joker. so no, not a Fishism, Sammy ma boy I don't think Harvey Dent or the Joker were the titular "Dark Knight" like.
  16. Stadium Arcadium As shite as i remember it being. http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2006/apr/23/11 Bollocks!
  17. Valid though, i think, if Leazes can so angrily complain of 'them coming to this country' and desecrating our war memorials without any sense of irony whatsoever.

  19. Shocking innit. Now imagine how angry you'd be if he'd actually killed hundreds of thousands of Brits and walked free.
  20. You have to ask yourself why the Halls chose to get out when they did. Having retained their stake for a decade after Sir John retired they had intimate knoweldge of the accounts, they were all on good salaries for doing (basically) fuck all and they were getting massive dividends year on year. Why sell up when your on a nice little earner like that? They knew the shit was about to hit the fan. £70m of loans were outstanding when Ashley came in. He only added £41m to that in his first 2 seasons. That's a better return than Shepherd managed, we lost £33m in his last season, so to average a £20m loss over each the next 2 seasons was an improvement (though we saw the result on the pitch). Add to that the £25m for the season gone and we've averaged a £22m a season loss in each of Ashley's 3 years. The figures include all transfers though they aren't broken down by transfer. Ashley is about £20m in profit on Transfers. 07/08 - £5k spent 08/09 - £21m profit 09/10 - £3.2m spent When we made the £33m loss, we hardly broke the bank either though, we spent £10m on Martins and £5m on Duff, but we recouped half of that (£7.5m) from the sale of Viana, Boumsong, Faye and Chopra.
  21. Imagine what the next set of accounts are going to be like. The notes on the 2009 accounts indicate what 2010 will look like... We had £111 million owed to him in total up to the end of that financial year. A note says he's added £25.5 million to that in the past season so he's now owed £136.5m. Add to that anything he puts in over the summer. Our bank overdraft has also increased from £1 million to £36 million, so the debt to the bank and Ashley at the end of this season is over £170m. The fact loans to Ashley were £112m at one point shows he IS taking money out of the club to reduce the loans, seems a very small amount though....unless he's done something like put in (random numbers plucked from the air) £25m and thhen take out £24m at the point the overdraft was hiked.
  22. Not because of how they've governed?
  23. The Hangover - Not all it's cracked up to be. The Chinese gangster was funny though. An Affair To Remember - 1957 Cary Grant romantic comedy. Average.
