It was hilarious/sad watching Mcmamanamamanaman coming out before every England game on ESPN confidently predicting a dominant performance and a clear win....then doing a complete 180 once we were out, turning on the players and declaring us the most shambolic England team of his lifetime. Not unlike the media at large. Klinsmann was on there with him and his measured, modest response to them mauling us was far classier.

sounds like a lot of hard work... Where the fuck is Happy Face? I would put the effort in if it wasn't just "a very small minority" that are unhappy with the way things are run.

I enjoyed it......even though it was a badly dubbed version. Nannee McPhee 2 - I had a big lump in my throat 3 times. I've not seen the first one so I don't know how much of the old ground it covered but I really enjoyed it. The Tooth Fairy - Stephen Merchant was canny funny. -
We do have world class players. They generally play in world class teams, and they stand out as the best performers in those teams that win major European trophies.....but England wouldn't be in contention for the Premier League, let alone the champions league. Some players use their skill to excel amongst also-ran players like Heskey, Milner and Upson. I thought Lampard took it up a notch today and to some degree Gerrard...but Rooney should be ashamed of his pathetic whining at his own team-mates whenever the ball didn't roll exactly as he wanted it and his own lack of ability whenever he did get on the ball (through the whole competition, not just today).

That's what they want you to think. There's just no distinction between the ethos of the two parties. As Bill Hicks played it out.... "I think the puppet on the right shares my beliefs" "I think the puppet on the left is more to my liking" "Hey, wait! There's one guy holding up both puppets"

Scorcese is doing a period gangster show for HBO. The writer worked on The Sopranos and it's set in New Jersey. Steve Buscemi's in it too....

£5.99 for 15 bottles of Carlsberg export at Aldi. Canny enough to give to the arseholes coming to drink your beer and watch the world cup on your big screen.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/10282647.stm Been there coming up to 9 years now. Russia were there 9 years and 3 months until they couldn't afford it any more and admitted defeat. Between the inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th president of the United States on January 20, 2009 and now, the number of American troops in the war zone has almost tripled, from 32,000 to 94,000, with the total to reach 100,000 in upcoming weeks. Late last month U.S. combat forces in Afghanistan for the first time outnumbered those in Iraq, 94,000 compared to 92,000. There will soon also be an aggregate of 50,000 armed forces provided by Washington’s NATO allies and NATO partnership nations. The 150,000 U.S. and allied troops in place by this summer will exceed by tens of thousands the largest amount of foreign forces ever before stationed in Afghanistan: An estimated 118,000 Soviet troops that constituted the high water mark of the USSR’s deployment between late 1979 and early 1989.

Cable news polls don't reflect public opinion so much as the ability of viewers to repeat the ideas they just heard. -
I think there's enough distance to joke about it without repercussion now like....unless her ex-lad was actually there. http://www.bagofnothing.com/2009/02/teache...holocaust-joke/

I think they tried that the year Cameron won and it was the moment people started turning off in droves. TV has to get more and more 'out there' to keep people watching, not devolve back to what everyone's seen before. Nasty Nick and Craig pulled in the viewers because we'd never seen anyone doing the dishes on tv before or have a proper argument.....we've had a cumulative 16,800 hours of people doing the dishes and arguing now (seriously), so they have to get a transvestite dwarf with one eye doing the dishes.

The Chemical Brothers - Further You could pretty much take a song off any CB album and slot it into any other of their albums. They do the same thing over and over. This one's a bit more Dan Deacon. It's another brilliant one like.

It's just a film man, calm down I was going to fix CT's post and say the real shame was the fact it takes a film to tell the mainstream what an utter disgrace the invasion was when anyone remotely informed has known for seven years.......but then Kevin took the shame to a whole knew level. FoK what invasion? Piss poor. -

Here it is in single sentences again.... Labour government announced it would change the system to give free school meals to more people on low incomes. It would have affected families with a household income below £16,190. Children whose parents are on income support or jobseekers' allowance will continue to be eligible for the free meals. The scheme, due to start this September, could have given free meals to 500,000 more families So half a million families, just in those areas, that don't qualify for IS or JSA, but have incomes below £16,190 would have benefited from free school meals. Where do you get the impression my brothers income must be higher than that? No he's not in a trial area...but once a trial works out the scope increases. Furthermore, it's not even about my brother is it. I just used him as an example of this being a bit more serious than wummery as you'd suggested. It affects real people in his financial situation.

Absolutely the wrong thing to do. That money could hardly be better directed. Disgusting. Anyone remember what school dinners were like under Thatcher? Wummery at its best Gentlemen, well done Not wummery at all. Certainly not on my part. My brother is a low income, stay at home, single father of an under five year old without IS or JSA. This is going to cost him a bomb. Does he not fit into this bit then? Read my post again..... "Without IS or JSA"
