I've not followed it at all. Burnham looked passionate about it on QT....but he let himself down playing the loyalty card about his time in the party. I don't want an MP that goes along with the party line irrespective of his own convictions.....and I really don't want a PM like that.

The Mall and Misery is the best track on the album.

I meant I must try harder btw, not them. I'm slacking off on new music and just listening to my old favoutites. Must be getting to that stage in life. All new music is crap and that.

Got Expo a month or two back and still haven't listened to it all the way through. Must try harder.

How do you mean excellent? Acting. I personally think he has turned into a good actor. Catch me if you can, Shutter Island, Inception etc etc. Think he's actually starting to not look twelve now too. I've always thought he was a good actor though going back to the Basketball Diaries. He was already 18+ in This Boy's Life. That's just ridiculous. Definitely a decent actor, anyway, though you know some people will never forgive him for Titanic. When Kermode met him he said "I've forgiven you for Titanic" Apparently the caprio looked a bit narked. -

Charlie Brooker showed the trailer on his quiz show a while ago. Hilarious concept but i imagine it's shit otherwise. -

aye, I'm realising thats the way it works. Bit of a pain if I have 80 Northern Soul tracks and they are scattered all over itunes.......................for example Still can't believe they have dropped this facility in WMP and there is fuck all else that will do this job easily. Not really, just put "Northern Soul" as a genre, then filter by that. I think you're over-complicating this. Not sure it's that simple....for leazes The tracks aren't ordered in Itunes so he'd still have to individually find those 80 tracks to set the genre in Itunes. I think what you mean is highlight all 80 tracks in Windows explorer and set the genre in there as follows.... Right click > Properties > Select Summary tab > Press advanced button > Type "playlist 1" or something in the genre. Then in Itunes he can create the auto playlist as follows.... file > new smart playlist > genre = 'playlist 1' All your tracks will be in that playlist with a total time displayed at the bottom. -

Not sure what you mean. If you select a random group of tracks in Itunes it'll tell you the total playing time. -
ipoddoctor.com. Always excellent. Think I've had 3 new batteries off them. https://ipoddoctor-batteries.co.uk/index.ph...cat&cid=129 £12.99 to do it yourself, £39.99 for them to do it for you.

Inception is getting mixed reviews. Lot's of people salivating over the complexity of it. Lot's of people aying it's only complex if you're 12. Toy Story 3 is getting raves across the board as far as I've seen. No-one has a bad word for it. -

You should only use VLC for opening tracks from windows explorer. It opens faster than any other program. And if you're not editing tags, creating playlists, downloading podcasts there's no need to open a cumbersome program like Itunes. Just use Itunes for browsing your entire collection in a cool way (embracing the dying joy of album artwork), tagging tracks most efficiently, creating playlists, managing podcasts and listening to music while you do it. -

No. It does time groups of tracks. And sizes them too (so you can select 300mb to top up your MP3 player when it has that much space left). You can also limit smart playlists based on size, time, most recently added, most recently played, most often played etc. For example you can automate a playlist of the 20 tracks most frequently played. Or the hour of 5 star tunes it's been longest since you listened to. Or the Gig of most recently added music you've never played or skipped. It's brilliant....but annoyingly memory intensive. -
Isn't there normally more than 4 debut albums? Seems to be a lot of established acts

well the first bit's certainly true I don't -
There's a couple I've not heard, but my favourite from those I have would be Dizzee rascal. I think Mumford and Sons will win it though. They're on the up more than any of the others and Mercury like to ride the crest of a wave when they can.

The shortlist's been announced.... Biffy Clyro – 'Only Revolutions' Corinne Bailey Rae – 'The Sea' Dizzee Rascal – 'Tongue N' Cheek' Kit Downes Trio – 'Golden' Foals – 'Total Life Forever' I Am Kloot – 'Sky At Night' Laura Marling – 'I Speak Because I Can' Mumford And Sons – 'Sigh No More' Paul Weller – 'Wake Up The Nation' Villagers – 'Becoming A Jackal' Wild Beasts – 'Two Dancers' The XX – 'XX' Most pop filled list I've seen that like.
-
Shortlist announced today. Every year we have a Mercury thread and every year people say what a load of shite the listed albums are and that they've not heard of half of them. Anyone being that unoriginal in this thread should hang their heads. So who do people want to see listed? Hot Chip, M.I.A.... erm.... Dan Le Sac's isn't as good as his first but I'm struggling for others.

Use that for watching movies, but is it much cop for music? (I love the feature that allows you to have the film on as the wallpaper of your desktop. ) Like Toonpack says, it plays everything. I store everything in Itunes and use that for tagging stuff. VLC is my default player for the odd occasion I open a file(s) because Itunes destroys your PC and takes a lot more processing to open. Hardly listen to music on the PC though. I just listen to my ipod.
