  1. It is good business as far as Ashley is concerned. Look at what it costs to consolidate your place in the Premier league. Fulham are considered to be one of the more succesful at it and Fayed has pumped in hundreds of million. We're probably still worth more than them.
  2. http://blogs.forbes.com/firewall/2010/08/0...eaks-informant/ http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/glenn_gr...vacy/index.html The Stasi are watching you.
  3. How does a western video with western subtitles by a western blogger posted on a western website show us something not often reported in the west? Shall I edit together footage of US citizens going about their business and having a good time and write sarcastic subtitles about how much they're suffering at the hands of the terrorists?
  4. Stopped reading there. more fool you then. self censorship is stupidity Count me in as a fool too then. i already do Happy. i already do. "A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool."

  6. Hughton's the favourite to be the first out the door this season.... http://www.oddschecker.com/football/englis...r-to-leave-post I don't think Ashley would sack him though, even if we were relegated bottom of the league Hughton has been the most stable manager Ashley has had. Now the club are in a position to survive the financial impact of relegation I think he's happy to live with it.
  7. I see Fulham going down.. Hughes is not a good manager.. and not in the same league as Hodgs.. Stick some money on then, you'll get canny odds. Don't see it myself like. Can't see them finishing below us, WBA and Blackpool for starters. You can get 8s on Fulham at Victor Chandler. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/englis...ague/relegation
  8. Last time we went down the problem was drawing too many games. JFK-like recipe for disaster there. Difficult to know if you're on the wind-up at times though so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. The problem with draws as well was highlighted in the SBR era. That 2004 season we only lost 8 games our lowest top flight total for about 70 years, but we drew 17, and it pushed him to the brink of the sack. Best thing Jimmy Hill ever did coming up with 3 points for a win.
  9. Christ. That looks like something Coventry would have rejected in the 80s
  10. That lot are all better than what we have. Whey none of them managed 15 last season. Few of them got 10.
  11. Look at the main striker(s) at the other bottom half Premier League clubs. Birmingham - Jerome Bolton - Davies Wolves - Doyle Wigan - Rodallega West Ham - Cole Stoke - Kitson/Fuller Fulham - Zamora Blackburn - Roberts/Diouf West Brom - Bednar Blackpool - Ormerod Which would you play ahead of our strikers?
  12. You can get the DVD in the pound shop That's good. You'll be able to get The Shawshank Redemption in there 43 years after its' production no doubt too. That wasn't a dig you mong . You'll find I was banging on about The Good The Bad And The Ugly being the best film ever long ago.... http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=406971
  13. Being There 1979 Hal Ashby film about a dunce who's never left the house where he's worked in the garden his entire life. When his boss dies he has to go into the outside world. Being in the right place at the right time and his childlike simplicity means he fairs a little better in this regard than Bad Boy Bubby. Peter Sellers was Oscar nominated. It's very funny and intelligent and moving. It's only £5.47. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B...indhotelinth-21
  14. I bought two. It doesn't say you have to play a foursome anywhere.
  15. It's this kind of rapid response and tough action that makes the UN so effective.
  16. I can't wait to watch the sequel tttt. Edward is so dreamy and introspective
  17. It's totally legit if you're worried. Mrs HF has had a hair do, massage and beauty treatment out of them.
  18. Quality site where local activities get bundled up and if enough people buy it, then you get the saving. Todays offer is a round of Golf at Linden Hall with a buggy and bait and a bucket of range balls for beforehand... Normally £50 a head, you get the lot for £19 per person. http://www.groupon.co.uk/in/.CAkqPi?nlp
  19. Halfway through. Very funny stuff.
  20. The Wilco back catalogue. I got tickets to see them next month but that was just off the back of the latest album. Despite all the recommendations I've never delved into their stuff at all. AM was a bit too countryfied for my liking. I'd imagine they won't play much off that. That's Not The Issue was the only one to grab me. Being There is a bit less twangy. Misunderstood is a lush intro. Onto disc 2 now. Pretty depressing stuff so far - though Outta Mind (Outta Sight) is very Sesame Street.
  21. It's the World Cup of crisps!
  22. You deserve some credit for still giving it a go despite everyone saying how awful it is! I've had to sit through them all and I would at least say in the defence of the series that the first one is miles worse than the ones that have come after (although they're still school girl shite!). I had high hopes. Kermode says it's a better trilogy than the original Star Wars.
