What I find particularly annoying about what you point out (which is also what I think you're getting at) is the way in which the reporting of stuff like this is giving Ashley such an easy ride. I.e. making out he's trying to buy players when he's offering derisory sums in order to get a player in on loan. Spot on. It was the sentence "Magpies boss Chris Hughton has already signed..." that wound me up as if he's been given free reign to fill his boots. The sentence should be "Magpies boss Chris Hughton has been restricted to scrounging to sign...."

I remember when I'd been with the company 2 years and did lots of overtime and perceived other people to not be pulling their weight. I'm coming up to 10 years now and I couldn't have done a minutes overtime in the last 5 years. Just do what you're contracted to mate, It's not like any of the global corporations are handing out massive bonuses to repay anyone (except executives and sales). They'll work you to the bone and blame the downturn. They won't reward you and blame the downturn. They won't reward what you do this year in 2 years time after the recovery....and you sound like you'll be straight out of the door once there's more jobs on the market anyway.

I think that's bollocks tbh, I'm just not affected by any of this snooping. Essentially what are the police/intelligence services looking for on the internet? Terrorists and kiddy porn users, neither of which apply to me. I wrote my dissertation on privacy/civil liberties in post-9/11 USA and found most of the concerns were blown out of proportion (though I obviously didn't say that), so while I'm far from an expert on the matter I am semi-well informed and I still don't think that privacy is something to be majorily worried about.
