  1. Aye, slums tend to have a bit of character about them. Aye look at South Shields. Aye, no character whatsoever.
  2. I heard that Harper/Newcastle had one of the lowest amount of shots on goal, but Harper had conceded a high % of them. Can't find a link at the mo. http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/stats.m...lter=&view= S = saves, C = conceded Save/concede ratio Cech 11 Hart 10 Robinson 3.16 Almunia 3 Mignolet 2.6 Friedal 2.55 Carson 2.11 Gilks 2 Sorensen 2 Van der Sar 1.71 Howard 1.71 Foster 1.62 Hahnemann 1.375 Green 1.23 Reina 1.14 Harper 1 I'm a Harper fan, but that speaks volumes.

  4. Couldn't agree more. Not sure anyone's fabricating anything. I've already said what you just did.
  5. I think so. The £70m debt from 2007 became £124m immediatley due to clauses triggered from the sale. What about the rest? KK settlement 5m FSA and crew settlement 5m Rat Wise settlement 1m What else? Crowds down 20% Catering down god knows advertising down god knows TV cash down god knows

  7. 4 years since his debut in the UEFA cup? Unbelievable!
  8. They're had pretty much the easiest run possible, though. But Blackpool beat us at home It's still pretty much the easiest run you could ever hope to get, is it not? They've not had any real challenges yet, no. I wouldn't hold out any hope that we'll be presenting more of a challenge in midweek though.
  9. Without doing anything...but staying up. I'm not sure what qualifies you to comment on the accounts but if pinching a graph off another site is the limit of your expertise then we’re not going to get far, are we? I'll not ask you to scan your accountancy accreditation, I'd say most people commenting are doing so as laymen. Doesn't alter the truth that a graph can tell. All of which I hammered Shepherd for at the time. The one defence you've made of Ashley is for the rushed decisions when he arrived.....but his unpopularity didn't rise for a year after that. There's far more egregious displays of waste and short termism from him that have led us to be in our current unprecedented level of debt.
  10. that is going to be a total bollocks to get working well though in normal environment though asides from not wanting it nicked, that is no doubt the reason its bolted to the table in a holder at one angle, and even then he had problems with it picking it up I don't think that'll be a problem in your living room will it though....unless you're a scouser. It's just a research thing at the moment. I've been waiting for this kind of thing for years though, ever since Jonny Lee showed how to do it with a Wii remote....
  11. "Drogba! Drogba! Drogba! Drogba! Drogba! Drogba!"
  12. I repeat "I wouldn't try and argue that Shepherd ran the finances well" The fact remains Ashleys taken that bar for 2007 and doubled the height of it....and some. About 18 times the growth in net debt that occured in Shepherd's last season.

  15. Wouldn't try and argue that Shepherd ran the finances well, but in 2007 the net debt was only a fraction more than it had been in 2001.... Shepherd at the very least kept the debt that low while we got progressively worse over his last 6 years. According to every source going that debt has been doubled thanks to Ashley's first 3 years.
  16. The Duchess Propbably not one for most of the blokey blokes on here (apart from the tits and shagging) but I thought it was a really good film. Princess Di is a descendant of hers and the parallels are made strong. Her and her hubby don't like their marriage of convenience and shag around having kids together and apart.

  18. chants from Blackpool, "You're not as good as Arsenal!"
  19. Any output you can whack straight into a tv is brilliant as far as I'm concerned. It was the sole reason I bought an Archos (component out) when I already had an ipod and a phone separately. In a hotel room you can watch films off your phone. When you film someone you can watch it immediately rather than plug in to your pc, copy across, burn to a disc then play it on your tv. When you want big screen internet but can't be arsed to start your laptop you can just whack it straight into the telly. It can make your tv touch sensitive too.... Meet George Jetson!
  20. I agree, but I think it's remarkable how quickly the league has already fallen into shape (despite what Rob says). Look how far teams are from where they finished last season... 1 Chelsea 0 2 Arsenal +1 3 Man Utd -1 4 Man City +1 5 Tottenham -1 6 Newcastle NA 7 Fulham +5 8 Aston Villa -2 9 Blackpool NA 10 West Brom NA 11 Sunderland +2 12 Birmingham -3 13 Bolton +1 14 Blackburn -4 15 Wolves 0 16 Liverpool -9 17 Stoke -6 18 Wigan -2 19 Everton -11 20 West Ham -3 Very few teams more than a few places from where they belong...only Liverpool and Everton REALLY out of place.
  21. All this credit being given to Hughton....when Wise appointed him...maybe that DOF thing could have worked
  22. Came back from two down and got a draw. Been well worth a couple of quid these games this afternoon.
  23. Howay Stevie G, one more.
