Anyone been watching The Trip? Gets really tedious watching them do the same impressions in a different restaurant over and over again....but there's some quality stuff outside of that. Coogan trying to do Brydons man stuck in a box while brushing his teeth made me chuckle. The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret was hit and miss too. Some very funny moments.

What I really hate about this season is...

Shame the ratio is 1:3 on that score. -
Facebook/Twitter has gone into meltdown because a lad that wasn't going to win got knocked out a week before he was due to be knocked out. Apparently it's the most outrageous miscarriage of justice since Diedre Barlow went down. Perhaps if they transported the losers to Gitmo and tortured them to death people wouldn't get so annoyed.

Aye, despite today being the first time Chelsea conceded at home and Man U still not being beaten, if they keep up the current average form it's looking like just 82 points to top the league. The winning total hasn't been that low in a decade.

Cheers, I've subscribed. "George Costanza on Steroids"?
-
Just for double coverage so no-one who ignores the film thread but is interested in Tyson misses it, the film's on More4 on Tuesday at 10pm.

Tuesday 10pm on more for The premier of Tyson, which I believe has been discussed at length on these boards. "James Toback directs this fascinating documentary about one of America’s most controversial boxing stars, mixing newsreels and shots of his fights with a narration from Mike Tyson himself, he shows how he went from growing up in Brooklyn to worldwide superstar to his downfall. Open and honest, this warts and all film is brilliantly handled by a director who really understands his subject. More than just a boxing film."

No need to apologise to me. Gervais is barely involved in this though btw.

I don't think Lily Savage is even a woman either.

Wrong I've been looking for 5 star reviews to get a bit more detail than that on what makes people think Bleach is better than the blatantly 5 star Nevermind. I've only been able to find one, and even that says.... "Like many young alts in 91, Nevermind turned my world upside down. But I remember being disappointed after subsequently discovering Bleach, the band’s debut. It didn’t have Nevermind’s hooks, precise quiet/loud dynamics or Butch Vig’s glossy production. Years later, it’s those attributes that make Bleach so endearing. (Rawness often seems to hold up better than commercially successful work.)" http://www.nowtoronto.com/music/discs.cfm?content=172287 No, you were right at the time. Retrospectively re-evaluating what you really think so as to be different and deride "commercially successful" work is the very definition of too cool for school. HF, Chris, please put your reading glasses on and go re-read my original post and stop impersonating leazes! It's not about Souness or Ashley but it about investment. Your original post said "Bleach is the equal of Nevermind, possibly even better" Bollocks tbh. Costing $600 has nowt to do with it. It's better than Chinese Democracy mind, and that cost $742billion Mmm, selective quoting - nice one leaze! Don't worry about answering, we have nothing more to discuss. I never changed an ounce of the context. I specifically addressed the qualification I cut out.

If you are talking about the Monty hall Problem you are wrong - you should always switch doors Yes, because the other of the 2 remaining doors now has a 66% chance. Not sure where I said otherwise. Read carefully. EDIT: The question at the end is not "should you switch?" It's unrelated. -

21 Nerds use maths to count cards in vegas and get into a bit of bother. An enjoyable enough romp, but the answer to the question at the end is "no!" Spent the rest of the night trying to explain why a 33% chance of choosing the correct one of three doors remains a 33% shot when you confirm another door has nowt behind it leaving only 2. -
Bleach is shite. It's yer too cool for school types that insist all their best work was done before they broke out. The only good track on there is About A Girl....and the Unplugged version is 10 times better.
