That's just the polite face he puts on it for the papers too. I've seen him arguing the toss with fans, calling them fickle for questioning what Ashley's doing. "Geordies are like that"

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
Happy Face replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Because he frequents Lambias’ casino and is mates with both him and Ashley, understands the BBC. I know many will disagree but if it comes out that Pardew was party to the sacking of Hughton we should give him dog’s abuse. I don’t care if it upsets the team and we end up getting relegated again. We are being made to look like the stupidest mugs in the country and the sooner we stop being a bunch of patsies the sooner both we and the club will get back our self respect. Our commitment to NUFC is being used against us. High time we realised short term pain will result in long term gain and stopped being so weak. Spot on. A large portion of the crowd have been stuck in 3 year deals throughout all of Ashleys shit. That's all over at the end of the season and I think less people will be inclined to be taken for mugs.- 10610 replies

“I don’t have any allegiance to Mike, but on the conversations I’ve had with him and Dennis, I know they want it to be a top-six club for a long time to come, not just for now. To be there for the next ten to 15 years.” http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...mp;#entry593415 "He didn't come here to fail and he has put a lot of money into the club, so credit to him," "Unfortunately, it hasn't worked out but I'm a little bit disappointed he has to walk away. "His heart was in the right place. Maybe he didn't always show it in the right way but I think he really cared about Newcastle." "Ashley is trying to do the right thing," "He's always tried to do the right thing, but it's hard, because Newcastle is Newcastle and unless you're used to that part of the world it does take a bit of getting used to. "I feel a sorry for him. But he'll sort it out and hopefully everybody will be happy with the conclusion." "We have a passion that probably isn't equalled anywhere," he said. "If you look at the lack of success - and that's not Mike's fault - the support is unbelievable. They've been there through thin and thin. "I don't think the fans are the problem - they care. They used their power and Mike has decided to walk away. But I think that's a shame, I really do." "Ashley might be at the club a while yet," "And if he is he should be allowed to watch the games. It's his club and he has spent a huge amount trying to make us a force, first by clearing debts and then for transfers. "It might not even be too later for Mike. If he brings success as an owner the fans could still forgive him. Geordies are like that." http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...mp;#entry525146

"If anyone's going to sack a manager doing a perfectly good job at Newcastle, it'll be me! "
-
So they sacked him in case, despite all the evidence suggesting otherwise? Perhaps Arsenal should bin off Wenger in caser they're bottom in the new year.

Like the numpty kid at school who eats mud, they crave attention.

Initially I thought this was a stunt to avoid spending money in January. But, if this was the case, he'd have done it in January. Our next games are Liverpool, Birmingham (away), Man-city and Tottenham, so if the post about forecasting results is true - the timing interesting. None of this suggests it was well planned, but I guess what I'm trying to say it we have to wait to see which manager is brought in and who arrives in January. They wanted it done and dusted in October though, until the 5-1 and Arsenal results made it impossible. So they've had a replacement planned for 6 weeks plus? What's the delay now? According to Stevie..... and hopefully the delay is just flight arrivals into Newcastle. If it's Pardew, I hope the plane skids off the runway at Newcastle again, with more flame licked results.

Exactly the opposite of that too.

You're a good lad and all that Parky, but that's pish. The performance at Arsenal was one of the most committed I've seen off a toon team ever. That's only 3/4 weeks ago. And the performance against WBA was shocking and that was 3 days ago and the one agaist Bolton was a week ago, things were slipping and thats a fact Read Alex's post above. I did then I read the shit you posted What that it was 3/4 weeks ago we produced one of the most committed showings I've ever seen you stupid cunt? Well we did. The reasons our form suffered are obvious. No knob head, I know we played well against Arsenal and yes it was 4 weeks ago but barring the Chelsea game we ave been gash. 2 points from 15??? What if after the next 4 or 5 we were at the bottom, what would you do? watch re runs of the Arsenal game?? Still above Chelsea in the current form table....and Villa....and Everton..... http://www.statto.com/football/stats/engla...form-table/full

Steven Taylor back in the team

If he goes down, I wonder if someone else will fill his role....it's hardly an appealing job is it.

you do spend your life raking around for this sort of thing don't you No, I have a twitter list that links me to many items that might amuse or interest me in the world of current affairs. There's zero raking involved my friend. Here's the list if you'd like to follow it too.... http://twitter.com/#!/MikeAshleyLies/news how much time do you spend doing this ? Reading the news? Maybe an hour a day. Love the way you see actually reading the news as a reason to fault someone. Strange that you deem it necessary to actually go to the match to have an opinion on that though. i find it strange that you follow yourself on that list... Think it happens on any list you set up.

The way I see it they got rid of Keegan for not doing as he was told (signing players he hadn't seen) and they've got rid of Hughton for not doing as he's told (appointing Beardo number 2).
-
How long was Hughton Jol's number 2? Was it the full 3 years?
-
I'll give you 10000/1 for that happening. Ashley will still be an arsehole tomorrow.
-
Can someone remind me how to ignore posts?

Dont understand this post. If you wouldnt say no, think he's a class manager and he ticks all the boxes......Then surely Ashley would have made the right decision. (iyo) Not really. Preferable to have the consistency of retaining our longest serving manager since Robson, who's hardly put a foot wrong. As that can't happen now, you have to hope for the best. I dont disagree and would rather have kept hughton, but for those who "wouldnt say no to Jol" etc etc then surely in their eyes Ashley has made the right decision. Also not saying their view is wrong, just you cant have it both ways. Can't have it both ways....and can't have Hughton either....so Jol looks the best bet. Ashley had the choice of keeping Hughton though, so he made the wrong decision.

Sounds like you're hoping it's someone shit. Jol would be the best of all the suggestions.

How fickle are we I think this is the general consensus. MA blatantly put the Pardew rumour out there so that Jol ends up looking like Mourinho! Like Alex said, it's still fucking daft. 90% of what we have is players busting a gut for Hughton. It's a shit squad without the graft he's able to get out of them. Not sure how JOl isn't an improvement on CH. Cos the players don't love him. EDIT: Better than Pardew though.
