  1. Aye "shambles of a man" was a bit generous like.
  2. You think a substantive analysis of Clinton should be dismissed when she is going to be the next president?
  3. I knew his running mate had criticised Trump, didn't know it was so damning though... "We pray for his family and look forward to the opportunity to show what is in his heart when he goes before the nation tomorrow night," Pence said in a statement. Why in fuck would you remain his running mate if you have to prey for his family?
  4. And the leak highlightd the blatant contradictions between her public and private proclomations... Fall 20013, In a speech to Goldman Sachs employees Mrs. Clinton said it was an “oversimplification” to blame the global financial crisis of 2008 on the U.S. banking system. “It was conventional wisdom,” Mrs. Clinton said of the tendency to blame the banking system. “And I think that there’s a lot that could have been avoided in terms of both misunderstanding and really politicizing what happened.” “I believe strongly that we need to make sure that Wall Street never wrecks Main Street again,” Mrs. Clinton said in January
  5. Remarkably, she thinks it's too difficult for people to move between private finance and government regulation... “There is such a bias against people who have led successful and/or complicated lives,” Mrs. Clinton said. The pressure on officials to sell or divest assets in order to serve, she added, had become “very onerous and unnecessary.”
  6. "My milk shake brings all the boys to the yard"
  7. Have the full transcripts leaked or just the Podesta emails that have extracts?
  8. I would have liked some incoming presidents to promise impartial investigations of former presidents and prosecutions if possible, rather than the whitewashes that have been seen. Could have been a vote winner for Trump to make such promises about Clinton (though she already faced a Benghazi investigation that found nowt to pin on her), unfortunately he can't think as fast as his mouth moves and he just shouts "when i am king you will be first against the wall". Which is going to turn off the pretty large voting block opposed to fascism. Shambles of a man.
  9. Good wedge issues to win wavering Clinton voters on her most long entrenched right wing policies. He'd be a business friendly war-monger of the worst kind.
  10. This is the most engaged that the American population have EVER been in any election. More than twice as many watched the first debate as watched Bill Clinton v Dole. The level of discourse is astonishing. The US are fighting wars on multiple fronts, secretly monitor the communications of every voter, maintain the worlds biggest prison population and have police officers regularly shooting unarmed black men as part of entirely corrupt police departments. The consensus is almost complete on Global warming requiring international response but there's a TPP agreement in the pipeline that will jeopardise any opportunity to do anything about it and a supreme court nomination hanging in the balance. Yet here we are a month to voting and the debate is around pussy grabs and 40 year old sexual encounters, the public only drawn in by the Jerry Springer style freak show.

  13. Wikileaks offers £20,000 reward for #LabourLeaks with information on how the Labour Party’s top officials have attempted to stop Jeremy Corbyn becoming and staying on as leader. https://wikileaks.org/WikiLeaks-offers-award-for-LabourLeaks.html Wonder if I could point them at the mass resignations and collect.
  14. Harold T. Martin III, the contractor arrested by the F.B.I. on Aug. 27, brazenly violated basic security rules, taking home a staggering quantity of highly classified material. He had been doing this undetected, agency officials were chagrined to learn, since the late 1990s. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/07/us/politics/nsa-suspect-is-a-hoarder-but-a-leaker-investigators-arent-sure.html?_r=0 15+ years undetected and you're supposed to trust these wankers with every piece of correspondence on the planet.
  15. Trump on his best womanising techniques “Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.” “Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.” “I did try and fuck her. She was married.” His voters will love that manliness. http://theconcourse.deadspin.com/donald-trump-on-getting-women-grab-them-by-the-pussy-1787545407?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_twitter&utm_source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow
  16. Aye. Immense I drive from Cullercoats. Worth the trip.
  17. Our family of four can't finish a large portion of fish and chips from seaton sluice between us like.
  18. 2. Main points Post-referendum data The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has recently produced an assessment of the post-referendum economy. This concluded that although the picture is still emerging, there has been no major collapse in confidence and within the data that is available there are indications of continued momentum in the economy. This has been confirmed by the Index of Services for July 2016 which shows month-on-month growth of 0.4%. This can be interpreted as further evidence that the economy has not shown any immediate signs of major negative effects following the EU referendum decision. GDP The latest estimate of gross domestic product (GDP) for Quarter 2 (April to June) 2016 published in September 2016 indicated that the UK economy grew by 0.7%, revised up 0.1 percentage points from the second estimate published in August. This maintains the picture of positive growth in the economy in the run-up to the EU referendum vote in June. Investment Investment as measured by gross fixed capital formation (GFCF) was 1.6% higher in Quarter 2 (Apr to June) 2016 compared with Quarter 1 (January to March 2016). This is the first quarter of positive growth since Quarter 3 (July to Sept) 2015 and the highest growth rate since Quarter 1 (Jan to Mar) 2015. Sterling effects on prices Sterling appears to have had a greater impact on PPI input prices than on PPI output prices in July and August 2016. It is likely UK producers have not passed on all of the increase in input prices to their customers, and that latent pressures on output and consumer prices may later emerge.
  19. Haven't watched the clip yet. But made me wonder where the daily show has been all year. Jon Stewart, John Oliver and co would have had must see content coming out every week of the election.
