  2. Phil Oakley - Together In Electric Dreams Morris Minor & The Majors - Stutter Rap ....erm.... Bow Wow Wow - C30, C60, C90 Go
  3. Youth and Young Manhood was a fine debut. Whatever spark they had has been well and truly extinguished by record company pleasing shiteousness though.
  4. Love Will Tear Us Apart was on before the game. Was in the bar for all of half time. Don't suppose that helps.
  5. Have they signed into law any rules on banks liquidity yet? Or are they saying there's no point until it's co-ordinated internationally....whiuch it never will be.
  6. He was canny but, Carlton Cole was AAAAAAAAAAAABSOLUTE SHITE though. It's one of lifes modern mysteries how Liverpool were quoted £20m for him recently. Best scored more goals in a 40 minutes spell last neet than he's scored al season. In the back of my mind everything was tempered by the fact West Ham were shite full stop tbh. We still played very well for all that though. You can only beat what's in front of you that much is true. Can someone settle an argument for me. One of my friends was in Level 4 corner below us last neet. A kid he works with sits in Level 7 further back than me. Now I said to my mate after the match you hear those mugs singing Pardew wonderland? He said no which is fair enough, but if you were in Level 7 you definitely would've heard it. The kid he works with, is calling me a liar, he's a scruffy mug from Washington the kid with long hair, looks like summik off Wayne's World. Not that it needs confirming can someone say they heard this, I had no drink and no drugs I heard it. I'll get them to view this page if someone can confirm it. I never heard it if they did....and I'm in L7
  7. Assuming they're fit, who do you start up front? Best just scored a hat-trick Carroll's the most wanted striker in Britain. Shola's the Hulk and Mackems make him angry. Call's for 4-3-3
  8. You should be offering 7/2 for your bet chez.... http://www.skybet.com/betting/football/tra.../t10003041.html
  9. Not sure about what they said....because whatever they come out with is bollocks 90% of the time anyway. But a young lad like Bassong bought for nothing and on one of the lowest wages at the club being sold for profit suggests they have no qualms about selling our best young players. It could hardly be included in clearing out the dead wood. He wanted to leave because we got relegated man, not because we wanted to sell our best young players. Unbelievable that people include the selling of players after a relegation as part of the criteria that we're a selling club. Chez says we can't use any other windows where we've sold players either, like the Given one or the milner one. Restrictive conditions these. Fact is, Ashley remains well in profit from transfers....concern about his love of a profit are entirely legitimate. You can use what you like to make your assessment of the odds for the bet. As ASM says, we arent a selling club because we sold players after relegation. No, but like I say, Ashley remains in profit in the transfer market....despite selling no-one for 2 windows (when no approaches were made for any of our players iirc)....that makes us a selling club. We touted Talor everywhere we could....listing him....and no-one was interested. So you'll be confident enough to take the bet then? Surely if Carroll is touted there'll be takers? Not really. I think anyone with an ounce of sense would hold onto Carroll. I'm not going to gamble against the logical thing to do. I think anyone with an ounce of sense would have held onto Hughton too though, rather than replacing him to save a couple of million ponunds. I'm not saying Carroll will be sold...but that confidence fatty ballatty will keep him for any logical reason or because they've said so is misplaced.
  10. I believe The Arsenal board give Wenger free reign. He's got a £30m kitty and chooses not to use it.

  13. You should be giving odds tbh. It's not an expectation, it's a concern. I think any side with Carroll in who had just come up from the economic wilderness of the championship would be (and should be) concerned about keeping him. My point is that the best predictor of events in this window is the last window not the one where Given got sold or the one before that. If your opinion hasnt changed after signing Ben Arfa yesterday, you'll have to explain why to me. We sell him, i donate a 100 to a charity of your choice. We keep him and you do the same. Nae odds. I'd say the previous winter window that we were in the Premier league (where we were in a similar position) is the best indicator. The last window was a season starting window when season tickets were on sale. We spent as much on Nolan in the Given window as we spent on Ben Arfa yesterday. Not sure how signing cheaper players than those we sell would be any sort of evidence of anything having changed at the club.

  16. Far more ridiculous than KK coming back here when you think about it as well. Exactly. The same press that mocked us and KK for living in the past are now bigging up Dalglish as liverpoo's saviour. It's like winning the Soccer Aid trophy last year counts for nothing with you people.
  17. I bashed him cos i think he's a liability......and a brown nose. He'd go flying off up the pitch looking to score goals and leave us woefully exposed at the back.....then point at some space and have a pop at other defenders when his positional play is his worst attribute....he's all about the last gasp lunge, never nipping things in the bud before they happen. Then he'd hang around following the final whistle, milking applause and making sure to be the last man off the pitch EVERY week. To be fair, Carroll seems to have knocked a bit of sense into him though....on both scores.
  18. It's been noted 3 of the next 4 games are Mackems, Spurs and Arsenal. Could be a confidence wobbling run. Still think Europe talk is rash.
  19. We've surpassed and discarded that model. Next step, to appoint Wenger.
  20. Was looking at the average age of the Newcastle team that finished the game last night. Was about 26. Wondered how that matched up with the PL average and it seems the plan to emulate Arsenal is coming to fruition... Average squad age Arsenal 24.9 Mackems 25.8 Newcastle 25.9 Wigan 26.2 Man City 26.3 Wolves 26.4 Blackpool 26.5 West Ham 26.6 Liverpool 26.9 WBA 26.9 Spurs 27 Everton 27.2 Chelsea 27.4 Man U 27.7 Villa 27.7 Blackburn 27.7 Bolton 28.2 Birmingham 28.4 Fulham 29.1 Stoke 29.1 http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/premier-...bewerb_GB1.html World of difference from 3 years ago really....Owen, Geremi, Viduka, Duff, Sibierski, Cacapa, Beye. The youth have bought the best out of the older players that remain too. Barton and Nolan look like they totally rule the roost and have the respect of the whole squad and they're only 28. You never thought anyone had any respect for Owen like that.
  21. The pub were raging at Pardoo for not starting Ranger when it came on SSN before. A bit of hard work against Liverpool seems to have won the fans over, but he must be gash in training to be almost as low in the pecking order as Xisco. His miss would back up that view.. Think he's a canny impact sub as well which might have had an effect on Pardew's thinking, i.e. someone to bring on to change the game if needs be. One thing I've noticed about Ranger though is when he has his back to goal, he's almost too concerned with fighting with the CB and ignoring the ball being played into him. Not sure if that makes sense but it happened a few times when he came on. Think we've been spoiled on that score with Carroll. He wins everything. Noticed Best and Lovenkrands disappointing similarly tbf. Trying to turn the man and just hope the ball would run for them.

  23. Was he the one with the 12 inch cock? He got his bell end insured or something I can't remember if it was Garrincha or the other fella. You mean Ron Jeremy?
