http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=718232 "Ashley out by the end of the weeko....Ashley's the best!" "Daft to aim for 7th....No reason we can't finish 7th" "It's a disgrace they've sacked Hughton....So glad they sacked Hughton!" "Hughton's been great with the press....Hughton couldn't handle the press but can't be blamed" I think your a dead canny poster to tell the truth and I like positivity...as my "aim for 7th" comments prove, but you're not giving yourself any credibility. You've done so many 180's your avatar should be Phil 'The Power' Taylor.

So far so good for me. Has hit the ground running and coped well given the circumstances of his arrival and the fact that his own career had stuttered so badly. Hearing players comments in the press would suggest he is having a positive impact on training. (I particularly like the way we have started to try new things at free kicks). I am also pleased that he is getting our current squad tied down. I think the communication with the journalist, and so us, is better than it has been since Keegan. The bottom line will be whether this "Kernt" that people talk about will appear once he has his feet under the table. Hopefully he has learnt from his mistakes and realises what a magnificent opportunity he now has. No need for you to respond CT. Your positive spin on any and every event, even stretching so far as to contradict your own initial gut reaction has given you a Comical Ali persona. When everything is brilliant you can't really be constructive. Which bit is the spin? The players positive comments re the improvements in training? Tying down Ben Arfa, Barton etc? Improved communications with the press. I think the truth is that you have dug yourself so deep into the trenches and cant see that the war is actually over. No need for you to respond Happy. You always put the spin on the way you see things and when someone contextualises it you fail to reappear. Dunno how many times I've corrected one of your ridiculously over the top lists of praise of Ashley's "decisions"....as an example... http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=822466 I state decisions Ashley has made since relegation that Ashley would feel he has got right. You then give your opinion of why you think he made those decisions. Doesn't make my point wrong. Didn't then and doesn't now. He will still consider he was right on every of those decisions. He'll still consider the Wise, Keegan and roof signage decisions as correct too.

Was funny when the whole pub started calling her a silly cow then shut up sharpish following the replay. -

A player under a new manager saying positive things about him? Unbelievable. He must be really brilliant. How can you even claim that's even relevant? They said the same about Souness, Roeder and Allardyce. The Ben Arfa and Barton deals were basically done before he got here....I've not heard of anyone showing interest in Barton and he's taken a pay cut to stay....so it's hardly like the manager had to convince the chairman to push the boat out...it was cheaper. And you'll see nowt but compliments for Hughton's handling of the press on this board. I've never been particularly negative about our chances this season either by the way. Remember this exchange CT? Where has 7th come from? I think I mentioned I'd rather aim for 7th than 17th but that was more to do with the poetry in the phrase than being what I really though was possible. It's not unrealistic to aim to emulate Stoke, Birmingham or Fulham next season though is it? 9th or 10th? Stoke and Birmmingham spent around £20m each since last summer. Fulham spent....less. http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=731197 How you have the gall to claim you were right all along is hilarious.

He'd barely popped his head in the door when we beat Liverpool so apart from that one he's yet to beat any team outside of the relegation places. Worrying tbh.

While I see what you're saying....having 3 of those 4 back wouldn't make our squad any stronger at all really. It would be a boost to the team but if Coloccini, Barton and Enrique were injured/banned then we'd really be struggling again. We all knew we'd get these injuries/bans and we all said the squad wasn't good enough to cope, if a few come back in then it's inevitable that a few others will take a knock as the season wears on. Dreamland to imagine we can go into the last 3 months of the season with no first teamers out. It's looking like Perch will be our best option from the bench for a while. But ITS IS COPING Happy, we are still 7th. I'm over the moon with 7th. But you and Tecato are suggesting we can do even better. We've not beaten anyone outside of the relegation places in 7 games. So you agree the squad IS coping? I'd be delighted to stay at 7th. Whilst I have an optimistic bet on with Fish over Europe, all Ive been pointing out, in the face of negativity, is what Chez Given has expressed much better than I could do. Our squad is coping as well as Stoke aye.

Yeah, we were also one of the worst teams in the league, whereas this time we're not. aye but early Jan we weren't For the record I don't think we will get relegated, but people need to remember that stuff can and will happen, as I said at the start of the season, when the dust settles, I'll take 17th, anything above that is a bonus We got 11 points from the last 15 games in 08/09....we'd have to be even worse than then to go down from this position
-
Spurs brought on £20 million worth off the bench. We brought £1.25m Says it all really. Good team, Shite squad. It's not just the last 2 games either. We've conceded more in the last 5 minutes than any other club.
-
I only made out one song from Spurs..."one niw, aand you facked it ap" It's not like I'm in the Gallowgate either. I'm in the Leazes corner. The 48 Wigan fans at Arsenal must have made more noise.

Aye takes an awful lot of fitness to shield the ball in the corner of the pitch in injury time Exactly. Play it from side to side, go nowhere, short passes. Just don't give the ball away. It's not fucking hard is it! I was raging at them. If it was a fitness problem, why did we keep piling forward. Harper was raging at Pardew at one point when we had a corner and not a single defender had stayed in our half. Just inviting them to run at us. Mental. In the words of the late, great Boy George, Do You Really Want To Perch Me?

Are you being ironic? Moses slayed thousands under direct orders from the big man, according to scripture. The Muslim foundational documents, the hadith - which are considered of equal canonical authority to the Koran - say if someone becomes an apostate, leaves or changes their religion, they must be killed. Is that one a metaphor? There doesn't seem to be much wiggle room there.* Hitchens The earliest religions involved a fair bit of cannibalism and slaughter to propitiate the almighty. You're being far too charitable to the devout in your assessment. I don't believe leaders of religion are devout. I'd say they were pious. They mislead the devout for their own ends. If the pope believed in god he'd know he's going to hell for running a paedo racket. You don't have to follow a centuries old book to the letter to be devout.

I'd far rather watch Where the wild things are than Harry Brown. Me too tbh, but I have my macho image to consider. Just watched Where The Wild Things are. I was wrong. Harry Brown was better. -

“What is the feeling when you're driving away from people, and they recede on the plain till you see their specks dispersing? It's the too huge world vaulting us, and it's good-bye. But we lean forward to the next crazy venture beneath the skies.....Universal Studios Hollywood. I cannit wait."

Was wondering about doing this when I go round the West coast of the US and then Australia. I won't bother if nobody is interested, but if anyone wants to know I'll put it up on here? Look forward to this. Fish Kerouac
