Got silver by nature in the sweep at work. Might have a chance.

Think it was in john peels memoirs where he talked about a private education giving him some knowledge of almost every subject. I think the problem with the people on qt a lot of the time is assuming that a sprinkling of knowledge qualifies them to make policy. See George osbourne and our economic policy for example. The arrogance of some people that know a bit often infuriates me. I'm not even certain in my knowledge of what I want for tea. That's why I like Dan carlin, as recommended by someone on here. He's fucking clever, but always wants to be told if he's wrong or forced to explain himself more clearly.

Color note is great. You can have notepad style or lists.

google translate is pretty amazing . you speak into your phone and it says it back in the language that you ask for. Perfect for going abroad.

For that moronic statement to tail a pure polemical rant is beyond irony. What does he mean by empirical here, that there are observable examples? Observations of what? His own party voting against him is one empirical observation relevant to this view and neither you nor Greenwald have brought a single one. Those last examples all occur after Congress voted against him 4 months after his inauguration. What the article boils down to is that technically, with a lot of will and a few risk, they could try KSA on US soil. Good reason to vote for the tea party that. What's the reason to vote for Obama? Still never got that link to explain what that vote was that changed Obama from cheerleader for rule of law (everyone gets their day in court), to mimicking Bush exactly to give trials to some, military commissions to others and no oversight whatsoever for many.

Oh Yeah? Well I preferred The Seahorses

I never expected anything of him and said as much before he wad elected I just cant fathom the pass he's given by people for doing exactly what bush would have been slated for.

Regarding these three in reference to your question, are they negatives? Are the left all fucking quakers now or some shit? He's helping to bring down Qaddafi's regime, thus aiding the left in Libya. The Taliban and Al Quaeda aren't known for their progressive left-wing ideology either. If the US just flat pulled out of all three conflicts, it would be a huge blow for the left in those countries that they would not recover from. Pulling out would be a victory for those with conservative fiscal policies. Indeed. He even promised to stay in Afghanistan during his campaign. But you can't say staying is something that should please the liberals that voted for him. They're all individual examples as I wonder which matters he's impressed progressives on. Not that he had to stay out of all 3. Coming out of Iraq in actuality rather than pretending to might have been a start. I forgot to include that gays still can't marry. Of course it's a victory for the left that they're allowed to die in wars for their country, so we shouldn't complain.

I wouldn't fear that at all to tell the truth. What has Obama done for the left? Still in Iraq Still in Afghanistan Now in Libya Guantanamo still running Not one person that ordered torture brought to justice Renewed the Bush tax cuts Not one banker charged for the financial crisis The US's biggest company GE, paying not a penny in taxes Cuts to schools, social security, housing, childcare, and every other welfare program But we can't complain about any of that, or the health insurance he's buying for everyone that's losing their jobs might be lost. I would MUCH prefer 20% of the Obama vote to go to Ralph Nader and let Sarah Palin in. At least there'd be a more effective opposition to the right wing policies getting enacted. Rather than the quasi-religious praise heaped on Obama for mimicking Bush across the board.

Newcastle Finances in the Championship
Happy Face replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
Thing is PP, we know exactly what they did to deal with the financial position the club was in, and they absolutely didn't sit like gormless idiots, rather, they did an obscenely quick cut and run. or you could use your own argument that they sold up to ensure the future of the club, you cant have it both ways. You cant slate them for not being able to sort the finances, state that Ashley is the person who saved us and then slate Hall/Shepherd for selling to him in the 1st place! "They" however didnt up and run, Hall did yes, he made a deal with Ashley behind Shepherds back and took the cash. I dont agree with doing that but its what he did. We always knew however that Hall, more than Shepherd was in it for the money. Doesnt mean however that it was their only avenue or that they would have done nothing had Ashley not turned up with the gormless look on his face that screamed out "Im too rich to bother looking into things". Thats the issue here, the assumption that two of the most successful businessmen in the North East would have been unable to come up wth a plan to raise the income of the club and/or additional finance other than a Barclays loan. There was always Ocean finance. ....or turning off the escalator. -
Glenn Greenwald has repeated a lot of my points for me today at the end of an excellent article on why it's stupid to vote for Obama again.... http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/glenn_gr...rats/index.html

Nah. Pal of mine that's been trying to make a living in CGI dragged me along...and to be fair the graphics were pretty smart for what was basically a computer game you can't interact with....the woeful bit of the game you hate to have to watch when pressing A doesn't skip it. -
The irony of your comment is that Shepherd took a profit from the club consistently because the club could afford it, while Ashley hasn't managed to take a penny. Is your only ambition for your club REALLY that they balance the books? That's HIGHLY debatable mind !! The auditers thought so. I'm not defending Shepherd. I've slated him plenty on this board and you'll find many posts where I rage against his financial mismanagement and his staffing decisions. But I was NEVER so enraged as to do something as sad as starting a blog just to keep track of how badly he was doing.

There's also a probability he would have given the Man City buyers a more serious price than Ashley did when they approached him. I don't see why you would answer the question based on what didn't happen rather than what did. Ashley has wasted hundrerds of millions showing no ambition and getting us relegated. Shepherd made tens of millions chasing the dream and getting us into a financial hole, but leaving us with a stadium that makes us an attractive investment opportunity no matter what our books look like, or how overpayed the team are.

Can't believe all the quoting going on in this thread of all places I say Remove the quote function altogether. People can copy/paste/indent/italicise anything that it's particularly important to refer back to.

Looked for others making the comparison and found this....

Does it make a difference if you have 1000 topics of one post each or a single topic with 1000 posts. I assume it does.. Coulkd do with merging a load of threads if so. Search on twitter in the topic and you get 6 or so threads. Searches on other keywords would get the same results i reckon. Facebook, muslim, ashley, shepherd etc.

Do you host some avatars and signatures? Would it make a difference if everyone used an URL (from Imageshack or summat), rather than uploading such things from their PC?

That adele song is blatantly gimme shelter by the stones. Are they getting royalties?

Sucker Punch I had thought 300 was as low as anyone could go. Apparently not. -
Y Don't really specify YOU , not deliberately anyway. Surely by now, there can't be many people stupid enough to think Ashley will ever get near the Halls and Shepherd though We can all look forward to doing a lap of honour for finishing 10th in the premiership and selling our best players. Ecstatic stuff or what. Only dug it up after you said... "As it happens, HF and Gemmill [i think] agree with me on Mike Ashley, now." As if you've convinced me of something.

We can do it err... we are just busy doing stuff. Lazybones

The bit where the young lass struggled with loving a lad she's still in contact with, but pretending to be happy he would burn in hell was heartbreaking.
