Anyone wanna do a toontastic film club? We'll start at 250 on the IMDb list and work our way down to number 1 a film a week. A new film every Sunday. This week.... Bringing up baby (1938) Mild mannered zoology professor Dr. David Huxley is excited by the news that an intercostal clavicle bone has been found to complete his brontosaurus skeleton, a project four years in the construction. He is equally excited about his imminent marriage to his assistant, the officious Alice Swallow, who is interested in him more for his work than for him as a person. David needs the $1 million endowment of wealthy dowager Mrs. Carleton Random to complete the project. Her lawyer, Alexander Peabody, will make the decision on her behalf, so David needs to get in his favor. However, whenever David tries to make a good impression on Peabody, the same young woman always seems to do something to make him look bad. She is the flighty heiress Susan Vance. The more David wants Susan to go away, the more Susan seems not to want or be able to. But David eventually learns that Alexander Peabody is her good friend, who she calls Boopy, and Susan's Aunt Elizabeth, with whom David has also made a bad impression without her knowing who he is, is Mrs. Carleton Random. However getting in Aunt Elizabeth and Boopy's good graces is not as easy as Susan smoothing the waters with them. Throw into the mix a tame pet leopard named Baby that Susan's brother Mark inexplicably sends her from Brazil, Aunt Elizabeth's big game hunting friend Major Horace Applegate, Aunt Elizabeth's pet terrier George who has a penchant for burying bones and other things, and a traveling circus passing through town and David may never be able to finish his project or make it to his wedding. But David may come to the realization that there is something more important in his life. Get it downloaded -

Blistering take-down of Obama apologists that argue he's better than the alternative... http://www.chris-floyd.com/component/conte...n-as-hero-.html An extract... People can scream about Godwin's law, but Godwin himself has lamented it's incorrect use. Sometimes a Nazi comparison IS legitimate. On healthcare, probably not, on invading multiple countries, very much so.

http://shitmystudentswrite.tumblr.com/ My favourites so far... The potato literally encouraged the Irish to overbreed. Sammy Davis Jr. was the son of Sammy Davis Sr. Was it the Revolutionary War or the Civil War that theapanese dropped the atomic bomb on Pearl Harbor? Please keep in mind while reading the following; I am in no way trying to be racist. It may come off like that, but it is just to support what I think. Instead of accepting that Hispanics and white will be one, I want Hispanics to stop coming to America, and go back to where they came from. This sounds bad, but I just wants best for me and everyone I know.

IT crowd fan http://www.chortle.co.uk/news/2011/05/08/1...rowd_fan%3F?rss I wonder what other shared interests we have.

It's not Robs principles. It's the law. It's what keeps us from acting on our basic animal instinct to kill fuckers like this. we realise that. Lots of laws need changing though [although the law reflects the principles of namby pamby protesters and "progress"/whatever. No place in a civilised society for shitbags like this, our duty is to protect the general public. Unfortunately its very difficult to enact laws things like this might be an argument for. Emotively we see a child killer (in both senses here) as worse than an adult killer. But you can't value one life above another in law.

There is evidence of a collapse of morale from Afghanistan. Pajhwok News Agency is reporting that in the wake of the death of Usama bin Laden at the hands of US Navy SEALs, Taliban guerrillas in the northeastern Afghan province of Qunduz are fleeing the province. It appears that the Taliban were still linked to, and perhaps taking direction from, al-Qaeda, more than most analysts had suspected. It also appears that Bin Laden had more of an operational, strategizing role than we had thought. If it is true that radicals are fleeing Qunduz, and indeed other provinces as well, and heading for safe havens in places like North Waziristan in Pakistan’s lawless tribal belt, it is likely primarily because they had direct contact with Usama Bin Laden and now fear that information about them is in American hands, since the SEALS captured his hard drives and thumb drives.

What's length makes a bad film? -
All the kings men is lush. Never been that fussed otherwise. I'll have to give the new one a go though.

Al Qaeda have confirmed he's deed. Only took them a week. What they been doing? Waiting on return calls from every wife? ...and these are the slick operation we're all supposed to be worried about taking over the world.

I've taken photos of Sellafields a few times like as well. Canny interesting place. so everybody's a harmless tourist then ? Ok. There's no middle ground between everyone being a harmless tourist and everyone being a crazed terrorist? I reckon 99.999% are harmless tourists like. I think you're the most successfully terrorised individual in the UK. you mean that many people read the Guardian ? How many?
-
Has this one been debunked yet then? I know the earlier one one was confirmed fake.... http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/may/0...aden-photo-fake But not heard owt about the later one.

The Happening Woeful Some hilarious acting from Marky Mark. Though I blame the direction of M Night cos Marky mark is a good lad. -
As I seem to have touched a nerve i thought I should clarify that my thoughts on Bose in no way reflect my thoughts on Chez. I just fall into the latter camp on this well recorded dispute.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bose_Corporation Their docks don't get a look in at the things like the what Hi-fi awards... http://awards.whathifi.com/winners/ipod-docks/2010 Agree their headphones have been praised though.

Best bit about a tv show in the area is when they run round a corner at the Monument and come round a totally different corner on the quayside.

Yeah Ratners, although i've heard its just cheap tat for tightarses who read the NOTW who cant be arsed to compare to far better rings at twice the price. Perfick!

Was a member at Whitburn for a few years as a junior. Think I broke 90 once. Never played for a decade, but been enjoying the odd game again over the last couple of years. I'm even worse than i was before though.
-
Think I'm gonna have to take on a ball and chain myself relatively soon. 3 months salary seems ower the top like. I was reading 1 month salary....and even that was a myth started by De Beers to get people spending more on rings. Also read that the value of the ring will drop 50% the day I buy it Anyone recommend anywhere better than Elizabeth Duke, like a dealer, where that kind of loss is kept to a minimum?

There is an app for the iphone that does the same job. Costs about £18. But an iPhone costs more Does it not cut out with the shit phone signal on a course too? Probably. There is normally 150 yard marker to the green anyway - which normally does the job. Is it that useful on the course? Dunno I haven't got one Lad at work was just going on about them when i saw this thread. Wouldn't be fussed about going back to the first mobile I had really. I love my phone and use it quite a bit, but it wouldn't ruffle my feathers if Twitter/facebook went without an update until I was next at a PC. Of what I do own, I think the best invention has been shoes. I'd hate to have to walk bare foot. Or the debit card. Judging how much cash to withdraw from a bank to last a whole weekend must have been a nightmare for peopple like Leazes/Rob.

Best headphones i've had were by Bose (QC 3s). The B&W technology is just a copy of Bose according to various sources / CNET. Which other models (mp3, cd & radio with roughly 60 - 100 w of output for half the price) were you thinking of? The point of me posting this was to get suggestions from people like you not snarky comments on my alleged reading habits The Roberts one doesnt have a CD player. I have heard it at alex's and i do recollect it being a warm sound. Am looking for all 3 with a line in preferably. EDIT - it does have a CD player sorry. I mainly listen via headphones so I'm no use except for snarky comments
