  1. I resent the insinuation here. Not speaking for anyone else but I don't think I've been the least bit nasty about anything. I've not called you any names or misrepresented you. I've not come after you as you quietly go about your business posting on football matters. I try not to do that with Polish Nick, or Kevin or Besty or any of the others that invite a bit 'banter' onto themselves. You've been harping on about being right about anything and everything that you blatantly flip-flopped on and you've been bragging about the classic games you've gone to. All I've done is call you out on your own braggadocio. Well then best not to Mis-quote me. You still havent posted the link btw to where I say I never liked Hughton? I happily admit to a bad memory but I still dont recall saying that. Sure you'll post it now though and clear it up for me. I wouldn't suggest you've "never" like Hughton. But you did bonny lad, you did I'll take your lack of a link as an admission of an error on your part. Im a forgiving soul so no worries. New readers could take the pounding you're getting as bullying. Especially when you complain about how "nasty" we all are. The post above was for their benefit more than yours. I forgive you too CT.

I happily admit to a bad memory but I still dont recall saying that. Sure you'll post it now though and clear it up for me. I haven't misquoted you. Other posters have agreed that the supplementary text I left out for the sake of clarity in no way changed the tone of your orignal post. I wouldn't suggest you've "never" like Hughton. Your opinion changes often. Tom's already shown this, but here's some of your posts on the bloke in chronological order if you're asking for more... hughton out http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=679137 Not in favour of Hughton, in favour of the best available. http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=680251 Ive said many a time on here his manerisms remind me so much of the Sir Bob. He is a breath of fresh air at Newcastle and everything we've needed. Even when comparing him with some of the favourites in recent times he doesnt play on the geordie fans or anything like that its just so playeded down and matter of fact.....Lovin him. http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...mp;#entry804804 Im not saying Hughtons the next Wenger, but I will back him until its proved he is not capable. http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=720135 If Ashley has no faith in Hughton and wants to push on, prior to the jan window, then he's made the right decision. For example, if Jol gets appointed this week and is given a decent budget for January then I and probably most Newcastle fans will look back on yesterday as a good decision. If its pardew...... http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=818451 ...the Hughton sacking (which I agree with)... http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=897907 Like Chez says, a lot of peoples opinion of Hughton changed. The vast majority remained for the better though. Which is fair enough. You didn't think he should be here, then you did, then you didn't again. Always aligning yourself with those running the club....you've even managed to do it with Pardoo, whose appointment you had said would make a mockery of he Hughton sacking.
  3. Clee and PP predictions added. Need to be SMART remember.
  4. "End of the week" 2011 stylee.

  9. Which would be fair enough when considering the contracts of players that have relied on pace during their career or have had terrible injuries. Not the case with Barton or Nolan though.
  10. The Blind Side A dunce of a hulking black dude makes more of his life under the tutelage of white folk. For a moment near the end he thinks for himself, just for a minute, and ends up at a crack den in the hood, drinking booze and damn near killing several ladies, gentlemen and children. Fortunately the white folk rescue him from his black tendencies and he lives happily ever after. True story apparently.
  11. From the same thread.... And you expect me to believe you've been going regular since Keegan got in his chopper?
  12. Right again April 2009 for the record, before Happy Face mis-quotes me. Hardly a lone voice, Krul has been hugely popular since his 'unbelievable' debut. I reckon I was more right about him than you...
  13. It would have to be a deal that involves us paying a portion of his wages. Could only see him going to a Championship side though (ability-wise) and I can't see them paying even £10k a week which would mean us picking up a bill of over £50k a week for someone we can't even pick in an emergency. When i was having bother with the ticket office last week, I thought about how much money me and my mates have put into the club for them to fuck us about so much. 7 of us with season tickets for over ten years had to be loads I thought....then i realised the total of those ten years of matchgoing wouldn't pay 50% of Smith's wage for one week.
  14. You've had a few waxers as topics, Nick. You have to give people the benefit of the doubt, but in your case, it wore out. LM reckons you're the only person he's put on ignore. Now LM likes an argument, but even he can't be arsed. The feeling is mutual with LM, and as I have said, I find most of the first responses to this topic, utterly moronic. I found out the other day that idiots are more stupid than moron's IQ Range Classification 50-69 Moron 20-49 Imbecile below 20 Idiot We should all do IQ tests.
  15. I've split your post apart for you so you can use quote either, depending on how he gets on.
  16. I've went from thinking you had a good balanced opinion on things newcastle but now starting to realise all you do is talk absolute shit. Airey has promise and potential but has he done ANYTHING in the PL? No. Has Krul? Yes. And in europe fwiw. This must be how Stewart Lee feels
  17. Start your best players I say. Phil Airey has the potential to be better than Ameobi buit no-one's suggesting.....
  18. He's got Stockholm Syndrome.
  19. In your opinion should the manager have final say over players in his dressing room?
  20. I know I really shouldn't bother but there has been speculation, more than once and from many, that in fact he wasn't a yes man and it was because he said NO that he was escorted from the building. The notion that Pardew is aything but a yes man is hilarious. You think he has any say whatsoever on who comes and who goes CT? Do you not think it's the intended structure? Managers come and go, the squad is a higher level vision, to avoid expensive restructuring with every new man...like Chelsea. Funny that Just so happens I suggested the same thing yesterday in this very thread, here http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=916265  Ahead of the curve again I guess Honestly a gift or a curse????? Here man, you're shite at this. That's the opposite of why you were glad Hughton was sacked. You said Hughton "was merely a caretaker, a yes man and so his sacking in my eyes was not a great loss" You're glad Pardew isn't a yes man, and your glad he is, cos it fits the structure you believe in, where the manager doesn't have full control, but you're glad Pardew is putting his stamp on the dressing room, which he isn't. You liked Hughton and wanted him to stay, but he had to go because he was a yes man, and it needed someone stronger...to fit a structure where the manager has no say. But he was sacked so they could sell Carroll without complaint from the manager.
  21. We all want to be proven right about stuff, but we all admit when we were wrong. not everybody Gloomy has blocked me, he's now saying exactly what he gave me flak for saying.... Now he agrees with me, what's his problem Anyway, on 1st September, a few more excuses from a few people will be rolling in. Whatever. Calls for a what were you wrong about thread, with a tally chart. You'd be on zero obviously.
  22. We all want to be proven right about stuff, but we all admit when we were wrong. I was Mr contrary about Roeder on here, years before you arrived. I was probably wrong (We haven't had a better finish since he was here, but he contributed to the decline) so I don't rewrite history and say I never liked the bloke. Gemmil supported Souness longer than most (I think) he doesn't deny it. I've not once seen you say you were wrong about anything, you just move on to blind support for the next incumbent. Whoever's currently at the club is brilliant, whoever has left or been forced out was always no good, despite what you said about them before. That's the opposite of... How can you say the bold bit, while claiming you gave them all the credit in the world at the time, and that you have a gift for seeing it before anyone else? Being linked with players doesn't take anything. Last year it was Robbie Keane, Steve Sidwell, Ngog and Gyan. You're Toontastic's very own Joseph Goebbels.

  24. http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=916194 They'll be insufferable when Ashley has us back in te champions league. That random post generator still needs a bit of work. That one was nearly relevant. You're right
