The difference being RAs loans have largely been used to fund the development of a title winning team, whereas fmas loans have been used to cover the cost of not undertaking due dillegence and a completely avoidable relegation. Due dilligence or not, those loans (or that money) still needed injecting into the club, if not him, who ?? Did it? About £45m was a structured loan for the stadium redevelopment and there are plenty of clubs still carrying similar or larger overall debts. The clubs finances needed addressing but far too many have bought into the scaremongering hook, line and sinker. The bottom line is if the situation couldn't have been addressed (and its worth remembering ff didn't want to sell) eventually the club would have been sold for a quid with the new owner paying off the debts.
