Louise Taylor's article today uses the same picture....and the following passage.. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2011/nov/01/newcastle-united-alan-pardew-plaudits The juxtaposition tickled me.

Transfers ? Who would / wouldn't you sign ?

Read more: http://www.mirrorfoo...l#ixzz1cSlqaD47 No real insight there though. I could predict that he might go in the summer too, every player has his price. Unfortunately our best players will attract suitors. Even clubs the size of Arsenal can't hold on to their best players when certain sides come calling. At least Simon Bird provided no insight off his own back with specific amounts and players. You just repeated his slogans with more vagueness -

His 'cross' for the second was perfect. Messi/Ronaldinho do that, look one way and pass another. People love them for it. Cabaye tried one later, but wasn't up to the Best standard. -

IF we beat Everton. IF QPR manage to do to Man City what they did to Chelsea IF either the Mackems or Swansea can take a point off Man U IF we can beat Man City We'll go top of the league. **touch wood** -
Can't take all this praise like. Where's Danny B at?

Funny reading the Stoke forum this morning. Bile fuelled. Didn't realise they hated us that much. Not sure why, with the results they've got from us prior to last night. -

Ceratinly deserved something from them, but incredible we managed to take all 12 points from the performances in those games. -

I feel exactly the same when we look as comfortable as we did last night (for the most part). It's the victories over Wigan, Wolves, Fulham and to a lesser extent the Mackems where we robbed them of points which tempers my enthusiasm, take that 6-12 points off us and you have our more realistic level. Hopefully the results/postion is generating a level of confidence that will feed performance now and we can maintain it without looking as wobbly. -

For the sake of clarity, we've not beaten anyone in the top half. Only 30% of our games have been against top half opposition, so your "for the most part" point isn't quite right. That said, Everton are just above the relegation places and haven't beaten anyone outside the bottom 5. Can't see where he get's his expectations for a win. we only finished 12th last season though we're not exactly long established top half team as it stand Crossed wires then. Thought you meant teams around us now, not in April/May. You can see his thought process, the only team around that level they've lost to is QPR. Apart from that, their losses have been up against Man U, Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool, so no great shame in those losses. Still think his confidence is misplaced like. -

Obertan: Earths' gravity is no match for him.
Happy Face replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
See Jonny's post above. He was pivotal to our entire gameplan of winning it on the break. He couldn't be the outlet he was if he was shadowing Simpson all night. Simpson did a grand job himself. Rtaylor needed more assistance from Guti because Pennant is the only Stoke player that can run with the ball. They shackled him well as a pair. -
Wimbledon have been stigmatised for years for doing what Stoke are all about. Why does Pulis get praised by the pundits for it? I was saying as much last night and just did a search for what others say about it... found this recent article by Hansen, which I think is bollocks... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/stoke-city/8787849/Stoke-City-are-so-much-more-than-a-new-Wimbledon.html They had fuck all about them other than a towel and big fuckers.

From the BBC report. Was I pissed or was our pen not twice as clear cut as there's? Ba stepped in with his shoulder, huth did a full on shove. thought they were about equal myself If their pen was deserved then ours was. Consistent reffing. Just found it odd the Beeb highlighted ours as being weak and not theirs. FWIW, the Guardian minute-by-minute described theirs as "so soft" and ours as "as clear as they come". Not sure I agree really, I'd put them about equal too. http://www.guardian....m?newsfeed=true Leazes will be unsurprised I've fallen in line with the Guardian.

Think its just you. Guti did a great job defensively. But most of the attacking wing play went throught obertan. He covered loads of ground making himself available. Best attitude he's shown since signing. -
