  1. Benefit Fraudsters are also likely to be tax dodgers like
  2. http://www.soccerbas...mTabs=transfers There's plenty of undisclosed fees. Meireles pulled in £12m for example, But i can't be arsed looking at all those
  3. With their players returning from injury and ours dropping, I'll go for a draw. Though it'll be interesting to see how well the new season ticket offer affects the crowd...a full house with 6000 new radgies in good spirits about our position could tip the balance....doubt it though, early kick off...not many drinks beforehand....it'll be like a morgue.
  4. It's in Hall's interest to talk up Ashley. He's the one who approved the sale. He's made out from the start that he saw Ashley as being in the best interests of the club. Obviously he's keen to be vindicated.
  5. I have an illness. Someone makes a vague reference to numbers and I MUST fact check.... LFC net spend (rounded)... 11/12 - £30m 10/11 - £24m 09/10 - £5m profit 08/09 - £10m 07/08 - £2.5m 06/07 - £37m Just short of £100m over 6 years.
  6. As accurate as the overall premise is, some of the bollocks in that article makes me wince. In addition to the above.... Built a line-up around Marveaux, Abeid and Ben Arfa? Ben Arfa provides speed and power on the wing? Obertan provides power? Patrick Kluivert a megabucks signing that became an albatross?
  7. Did anyone mention the climategate bods have been totally vindicated? It hasn't had much news coverage... http://the-scientist.com/2011/10/21/climate-change-not-exaggerated/

  9. Appointing Wise was the idiotic footballing decision that led to the idiotic Keegan decision and the idiotic Kinnear decision. I wouldn't dismiss that as politics. It was a footballing decision that Wise would be in charge of who we buy/sell over the head of whichever manager was here. Me and me mate, nearly had a drunken punch up in the town after the Wigan game about Ashley. His gambit is he's a canny bloke who wants a laugh and was poorly advised. He's one of these kids, and there are many on here who are like him, who LOVES having an alternative view. By the end of the conversation he agreed he was a disgrace in his decision making up to the point of relegation. Everything since then he claims has been one master stroke after another, he dismisses my point about SD and L7, and says this season is vindication that his policies are working. His policies are working ALL my point is, it's fucking luck, nothing else, all Ashley's plan has been is to get the club in a position where we make as much money as possible, with business principles with an end game which is only known to him at this point. The footballing side has been excellent due to brilliant work by the staff, Ashley's input to it and how it has turned out from FMA and DL's input on things, has been pure luck, and that's it. The whole football world questioned his decision to bring Pardew in, it didn't make sense, he's got lucky that it's clicked in to place, he's lucky we found gems like Tiote and Cabaye, he's a lucky man and that's all there is to it. I've seen no evidence of a change in policy from Ashley from the relegation season. It's working for now. It failed miserably then. He's happy to take the rough with the smooth.

  11. Fucks he on about? I'm happy to associate the london riots with cuts, as a boiling point being reached in wider society, but one kid of indeterminate wealth being a racist cunt after 2 multi-millionaires did it is hardly evidence of a race war heating up due to benefit cuts.
  12. Be sad to see the back of a marvellous chant.
  13. I've voted Don't know. We've gone 10 games and pulled in 22 points which is superb. We went on a very similar run in 06/07 though where we pulled in 19 points from 10 games. Newcastle United 1-0 Portsmouth Newcastle United 3-2 Reading Chelsea 1-0 Newcastle United Blackburn Rovers 1-3 Newcastle United Newcastle United 2-1 Watford Newcastle United 3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Bolton Wanderers 2-1 Newcastle United Everton 3-0 Newcastle United Newcastle United 2-2 Manchester United Tottenham Hotspur 2-3 Newcastle United In fact, take it up to a 12 game run and we pulled in 24 points... Newcastle United 2-2 West Ham United Newcastle United 3-1 Aston Villa ...which will be an excellent achievement if we manage it over the first 12 games of this year. The fact this run followed a shitty start that had left us in the relegation places means there was little of the good cheer surrounding it that there is over our current run, coming as it does from the outset. Last season we looked about on a level par with 06/07 overall. So far this season we look better and hopefully it'll breed confidence to maintain the run. But the question is how we cope with a few losses, injuries, sales etc. when it inevitibly happens. Fingers crossed though.
  14. Saturday is an opportunity to win 3 league games in a row for the first time under Pardoo. Not sure when we last did it. Howay!!
  15. Ooos! We've been more fortunate than I ever remember on the injury front, so I'll not complain, but wear and tear is starting to tell. Fortunately Tiote's the only big miss on the injury front at the moment and his seems shortest term...touch wood.
  16. It captures the majesty of the man at that time I think It's from here btw http://www.sholaameobi.co.uk/ I don't like people slagging the lad off, but who the FUCK takes the time to set up a website for the below average stalwart?
  17. In 4 years time we'll be fretting over who will take the hallowed number 19 shirt
  18. If you finish in the UEFA cup places is there a penalty for declining the invite to take part?
  19. Who'd have put their money on Staylor winning the power struggle at NUFC when he was eating meals through a straw while Carrol and bezzy mate Nolan were banging in the goals? Mebeez Pardew doesn't like bullies, piss-heads, coke-heads, shaggers etc. It's a pretty boring lot we're left with apart from Ranger. Hopefully he'll be on his way soon and we'll have a squad of fence creosoters.
