8 more points at the end of last season would have lifted us to 7th -

Just one: present perfect but the taking of 7th isn't an ongoing event from the past, its a one off decision for right now. -

Remember when coloccini was shit? Some players thrive on confidence. Guthrie's clearly not the man to pull the other 10 through a relegation battle, but as part of a team thriving on results he looks capable of filling the gap. -

How many tenses are in that question? Nothing less than 4th is assettable now. -
Can't imagine why FIFA want to do this when its clearly such a non-contentious debate that everyone is in total agreement on.

Taking the above into account Average league position 7.6th Average Ashley league position 15.75th It's not about "versus Ashley" it's about sustainability and that 15.75th would have looked mighty good when we had no money. BTW Post 1st Keegan spell, 9.4th (which madly, is good for 5th best evidently) Wonder what £52 Mill would have bought SBR The only ownership in football that has ever made HUGE personal gain, for not a penny risked, whilst in charge of a club (that was genius, of a sort). That in itself should tell you something. That no-one else has been able to take a club from 3rd division relegation bait to sustained champions league qualification in the past 20 years? Short lived and intermittent would be more apt, maybe if the team had another £52 Million to play with it might have been sustained. 25 years ago Man U were in the bottom 4 (along with us), having a few years previously been relegated ('74) and come back. Funnily enough, Martin Edwards profited to the tune of......£52m http://m.guardian.co.uk/sport/2009/oct/09/martin-edwards-manchester-united-glazers?cat=sport&type=article

Good that you recalibrate your crackpot theories as evidence mounts against you That's still true if you think about it. If it were made clear to Joe that we had little or no effect on it he wouldn't be pansying around the local Tesco looking for £10 light bulbs. I don't support recycle bins and cycle to work scheme bollocks while industry offsets my efforts over decades in single day. but irrespective of the human impact (which I think is contributing significantly) governments have a responsibility to slow warming as best they can with top down changes, not bottom up. Earthquakes and tsunami's aren't man made but we still engineer better buildings and dams to improve our chances against them.

Think Pardoo is very much keeping to his system and round pegs in round holes for it. Whether he continues to treat Marveaux with kid gloves and goes with Guthrie/Lovenkrands/Smith on the right, think it'll just be a straight swap for Obertan. Would prefer Marveaux though, cos the rest are all canny gash out wide.- 10610 replies
