  1. Better use of a yellow card than lifting your strip after scoring.
  2. Some racists do deserve handshakes
  3. Someone wouldn't shake Rio's hand once before. Wonder if he was racisted....
  4. Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson on Luis Suarez's decision not to shake Patrice Evra's hand before kick-off, and Evra's celebrations at full-time following United's win: "I couldn't believe Suarez refused Evra's handshake. Suarez is a disgrace to Liverpool football club. He should not be allowed to play for Liverpool again, the history of that club. He could have caused a riot. Racism is an important issue and football has come a long way since the days of bananas being thrown at John Barnes. Evra shouldn't have jumped in front of Suarez in celebration at the end. He shouldn't have done that."
  5. Just need to show the lads the table at 5pm to motivate them if it stays like this. Great set of results/scorelines.
  6. Suarez looks like a kid who's had his ball taken off him by the bigger boys.
  7. I got it on the third attempt.
  8. Was Rooney mocking Andy Carroll with that shot?
  9. The op asked about which ones Ashley had sold, so Cole and that wouldn't come into it. If you're limiting it to players Ashley sold under 30, then the question is basically, out of these players, which have shown form since? Nolan Routledge Carroll Enrique Martins Bassong Nzogbia Milner Parker
  10. Sorry. Simpson is clearly an improvement on what we had at right back. I haven't got a clue. If we're talking about players in their prime rather than where they are now then I'd go with Beye over Simpson. We aren't. Doesn't fit Chez's 'narrative'.

  12. By that rationale we could have a cone at right back and it would be excellent transfer business. A folding ladder up front in place of Owen would be a signing Ashley could be proud of.
  13. While here? He was 3 times the RB Simpson will ever be. No doubt. Milner would walk in. Carroll would play more than best, ameobi or Lovenkrands who have a hefty number of appearances. Kieron Dyer in his prime would improve the team. Bassong would get in over Williamson deffo, if not Taylor. Duff v Guttierez is close too....as is Given v Krul. Enrique, deffo. In terms of what players they are now tbh. ie I think you're judging Milner in the 'here and now' - and he would indeed walk in now because he's a top peformer. But at the time he left he wasn't any great shakes as far as I'm concerned. Looked very decent but nothing out of the ordinary. Always been twice the player Obertan is.
  14. So the idea is to compare players in their prime with those either retired or close to it? Apples and oranges in that case.

  16. Well get your calculator oot Peter Snow, what would you say it is? No idea, it's incalculable. I was laughing at the specificity of your random number. Not a third, not 40%. I think 38% is my new funniest number.
  17. Compared the actual table with Lawro''s predictions to see who he's worst at predicting. Obbiously he's come up shortest for NUFC.... Newcastle United -19 Norwich City -11 Swansea City -11 Fulham -6 West Bromwich Alb -6 Bolton Wanderers -4 Aston Villa -2 Sunderland -2 Queens Park Rangers 1 Wigan Athletic 1 Stoke City 2 Tottenham Hotspur 2 Blackburn Rovers 5 Manchester City 8 Manchester United 8 Chelsea 9 Liverpool 9 Everton 13 Arsenal 15 Wolverhampton W 18 http://www.myfootbal...ns_2011-12.html Only surprise is he builds up Wolves to such a degree. What's Mick McCarthy got on him.
