Aye, she sits there at the pool with half a rainforest piled high in front of her with highlighter pen all over it clearly boning up as much as she can, and very well prepared as a result. Makes a change from the Euro's where the likes of Hansen and Shearer turn up and say Balotelli has won nowt*. *Other than 4 league titles, 3 cup medals and 1 champions league, obviously.

Imagine how the kids in Lybia feel.

Still just over half a litre.

"Now then. Now then." Has anyone ever droond playing water polo? They reckon (the urban mythers) you can choke on a thimble of water. They dunk each other all over the shop.

Even Buckingham Palce eats corned beef. Hey why don't you try corned beef hash?

Like a christian saying they like all that "bible mumbo jumbo". You're not a million percent certain, like you said earlier, you just like the idea of conspiracies.

Is it just me that 'd at that. Just reads like a dating direct bio....that would have women fizzing at the slit and crash their servers.

Maybe the moon landing film would work. Armstrong: "I'm gonna fly this god damned space ship to the moon and land it if it's the last thing I do!" Aldrin: "You're crazy Neil, we haven't had anyone from Hartlepool inspect the fuselage" Armstrong: "FUCK HARTLEPOOL! Those backward monkey hangers would take the fuselage for Mayor if we let them anywhere near Apollo 11"
-
Picture Wolfy kicking the tyres "Yeah, I suppose this could make it to the moon! Good build quality"
-
Who'd have thought fake footage would be so much more convincing than real footage.
-
I'm sure the US government would much prefer people to be discussing the moon landing than the actual secret programs they run. It's a laugh to joke about the moon landings but the point Parky makes about the militarisation of space nods to reality. The technology developed during the space race has led to some awful abuses of power, the "secret" unmanned drone killing program (using the crest as my new avatar as it's black comedy gold) which the US brag about off the record but deny on the record is much rarer to hear discussed, but FAR more troubling.

Average since '58 adjusted for inflation.... http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2010/feb/01/nasa-budgets-us-spending-space-travel

Of course. The NASA space programs were fake as it's not possible to fly in space. Just eye candy. The military space programs are the real ones. It actually is possible to go into Space, NASA just don't do it in case they get in the way of the big guns and that up there.
-
If it is a money making scheme, it's a very high risk, low yield one. NASA's budget from day one, in real terms, is $15 Billion a year (the Yoga industry is currently $13bn) Less than half of one percent of government expenditure goes to NASA. Clearly it was a no-brainer to concoct this preposterous facade at massive risk to the other 99.5% of Fed income.

Are we gonna open the poll now? I reckon it's KSA. Hilarious parody of Parky.

They really sold it too. With hundreds upon hundreds of missions, space stations that were visited by many nations, thousands of people working on the program euither none the wiser, or keeping schtum, tens of thousands of people there to watch every launch in person, members of the public going to space themselves on commercial flights, paying millions for the honour, but kindly going along with the ploy when told they couldn't actually go to space. I wonder if it wouldn't have been easier to gather the extra 10 cents a person tax it pulled in and just say it was for the military.
-
Wolfy, just to be clear, you think the 130+ Space shuttle launches were fake too? All the Russian ones too, Mir, Sputnik, Luna....all fake?
-
The film Armageddon made half a billion dollars for the its makers...and didn't even look real. What logical reason was there for going to the expense of creating the video I posted of the shuttle, which looks better despite being created decades earlier?

Part time skeptic tbh

WTF!? Why did I say that?!! I meant nephew

I like the story of the skeptic on that podcast who was SO skeptical he ignored EVERYTHING around him. Crossing roads without following the green cross code, walking towards cliff edges without concern. Apparently he had some mates that would save his life every time he endangered himself. Lived to his 80s You should follow that example Citizen Smith.

It's a mint video....especially the onboard camera at 3 minutes.... Obviously, rather than wanting to enjoy the hobby of amateur space exploration, the only logical explanation is they took the time and money to buy all the equipment, selotape it together so it looked good, drive out into the desert and then apply world class computer graphics. Or as lazier trolls than you would say...."photoshopped"!
