"I am not an MP for any reason other than because God wants me to be. There is nothing I did that got me here; it is what God did. There is nothing amazing or special about me, I am just a conduit for God to use." Burn the witch. She won't complain. Gods will.

In 4 years the one Liberal act of Obama has been to say in an interview he likes the idea of gay marriage. He only did that to curry favour with liberal donors in the lead up to the election. Why would a left winger vote for a stealth right winger without opposition? on the election... http://blogs.e-rockford.com/applesauce/2012/11/05/nate-silvers-election-eve-forecast-obama-a-91-percent-favorite-to-defeat-romney/ No need to stay up late peeps.

Fat Sam promised the football to fulfill the dreams of West Ham fans last year. Has he delivered? Because his brand of football sent me to sleep when he was up here.

You'd hold it against him if he didn't take it (in good nature) more than anyone else on here....the podgy version of a behatted Hannibal Lecter at the end of Silence Of The Lambs that he is.

I'm gonna go against the grain and say we don't need to win this that much. It would be nice though, and I expect us to.

Krul & Colo played 5 together. All 3 played 2. Tottenham & Mackems

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-20210837 Are the BBC for real? I know they're in the shit with this, but howay.

I've got nowt to say about depression, but the term "fastest growing" shouldn't mislead. If there was 1 person with depression before and now there are 2, then the incidence of depression has doubled. If 2 million are suffering from diabetes and 50,000 more are diagnosed that's only a 2.5% growth. Obviously diabetes would be the bigger problem in that case. I don't know the numbers in reality, but I guess it's a depression awareness campaign using "fastest growing" to raise the profile of their charity. As understanding of mental illness improves and diagnosis improves we're bound to detect it more often and see a growth in numbers faster than physical diseases easier to diagnose historically. That doesn't mean more people are suffering.

Aye, drove both. I wasn't too bad on the pacific coast highway because we were going north so we had the inside lane the majority of the time. But both the drives into Yosemite and out over the Tioga pass involved a lot of time on the cliff edge lane. I'm not keen on heights and I was shatting myself tbh. These huge RVs were merrily going along 6 inches from death. Mad. Unbelievable views though, unforgettable stuff.

Fantastic cheers. Yosemite & Monument Valley probably the highlights. Saw Elk and Bobcats and deer and all sorts right outside our door....unfortunately no black bears. San Francisco was the best of the 3 cities we visited. I'll be whacking some photos in the photgraphy forum at some point no doubt...once we get through the 1000s of them we took. My touchpad hasn't worked since we got back like. I'm sure the bastards at Heathrow who took me aside and unpacked both my bags and x-rayed it twice have broke it.

I'd hope for a big increase in the proportion of votes going to the third parties. I'd also hope for a big drop in the number of people voting. Winds me up seeing rock the vote type events where pop stars tell citizens they don't care who they're voting for, but to go out and vote and let the politicians in Washington know they're paying a keen interest. Total bollocks. Bigger turnouts give a legitimacy to the presidency it doesn't deserve. if the turnout dropped below 50% it would do more to buck their ideas up. If you're asking for my preference between the 2, then a Romney win is a better result for liberal issues. In terms of Supreme court nominees it could be bad, but then again, Obama picked Kagan who voted with the right on issues that liberals would have hoped otherwise like Medicaid and Miranda rights.

Lost 2 games. To first and second in the league. Other than that, won every home game bar Villa who'd had a dreadful start and were desperate for points. If we keep winning at home and drawing away I'll not be complaining too much

The refs association should vote on it. Should be seen as their decision to show what they put up with and protect themselves from twat players. Not the FA trying to keep an eye on them.
-
There's no reason the officials conversations couldn't be recorded and emailed off with the reports after the game and only listened to when a dodgy event happens. I'd be fucking pissed off if i was a ref on the relatively tiny money they get though, there;s not been a sniff of unprofessional behaviour from them on that score as far back as i can remember. This one suggestion of impropriety comes along and they're all gonna get miked up and the big brother treatment. Players have been getting hauled over the coals for years for their lack of professionalism when it comes to holding their tongue, and I've never heard a whisper about recording them. This stinks to me. It's like when someones kids have been naughty at school and the parents go after the teachers rather than siding with the teachers in a united front of discipline against the child who needs to buck their coddled ideas up.

Film/moving picture show you most recently watched
Happy Face replied to Jimbo's topic in General Chat
I tend to spend more time laughing at what people are saying about a show on Twitter than actually watching it with great interest.....and the shittest/most popular telly is best for that kind of thing. -
Whey they've both lost 200 points if that's what you mean but that's only 6% off the NASDAQ index innit? A quarter as much of the value that Apple have lost. Apple know the wave they were riding the crest of for the past 3 years is about to break, hence the massive reshuffle at top levels across the company after iphone5 hit which has exacerbated the stock fall.

Never watched it. As far as fanny goes, I'm impressed with that pussycat Doll on x-factor though. Always thought she must be some sort of empty vessel to have any time for the charisma vacuum that is Lewis hamilton, but she's the funniest judge going. She's always talking about balls and getting hard and that -
Aye, they're scum too. Apple stock's been declining steadily for the past 2 months hasn't it? Not one day. 20% off the value since iphone 5 was released.

Apple paid less than 2% corporation tax on its profits outside the US, its filing with US regulators has shown. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-20197710 Scum

Surprised Orange want to give me a free iphone 5 for my upgrade. My contract's only £25 a month.
