Anyone tried one of those whisky vapourisers Stephen fry was touting on gadget man. £100 seems steep for a novelty but they seemed to like it.

Got a Saturday in the house on me own working remotely so I'm going through the whole Tivo'd series of Jools Holland. Half way through and I'm annoyed by how little of it interests me. I've only enjoyed the old timers like Dionne Warwick and Alice Cooper. Losing my ear for the new shit

Retweeted Demba's support for Gaza a couple of weeks back. Clearly a good lad with a bit more common than your average player. Notsurprised Simpson didn't go close to it for example. -

That's what you've got to ask like. I know Tiote got so much praise last year it's nice to have a whine and go against the grain. But Perch has more bookings than Tiote and less passing ability, so what do you gain by selling our best holding midfielder?

I'm arguing that a lot of people were outraged he had waited until the last 10 minutes to make any changes, insisting he should have done sooner. You're either saying he shouldn't have made any changes at all or that he should have brought on someone else (not saying who though). I've got more time for the first of those argument as we were 2-1 down before making any changes, so if the subs had any impact it would have been prior to losing the game due to mistakes from tired players.

Read the match thread. Pardew was getting slated for not making any changes sooner. Now he slated for the change he made. look at the bench last night and tell me who was a better option. He hasn't run out of ideas, he's run out of players. A manager cannot be held to account for individual error when he has put out a team that had the best of the game for the majority and deserved the win. He had to do something about the 3 previous games because he was left wanting in the manner he'd setup his team and the manner they performed collectively. Last night you have to say he did something about it and was only let down by player error which he cannot mitigate.

Not read the thread, but I'm failing to see where Pardew has made excuses. He's matter of fact about the situation, where does anyone think he has over-egged it? After Southampton... After Stoke...

Nice to hear airings of "Pardew is our king!" last night. Anyone that isn't a nob knows the score.

Failing to grasp the opportunity to improve the squd from a position of strength when players would WANT to come could bite us on the arse again. If we are in a relegation battle cone January it'll be a lower calibre of player willing to join than there was in the summer.

Who would you prefer? Tavenier and Ferguson? None of our second string are good enough.

Could have been worse...
