I've said it before but he is no more than a moving cone. Positionally I have to say i think he's sound (despite the headless chicken act for Saturdays 3rd goal conceded), he looks to close down the angles and is quite effective at it a lot of the time and does just enough without commiting to any dick head lunges. Just when it comes to actually taking the ball off someone or beating a man with it or putting a cross in, his limited ability on the ball becomes all too apparent.

We weren't too bad at the start of that season though. there was a 4 game run of defeats around the time Keegan went, but we never lost 2 on the bounce again until christmas. Christmas was fucking dreadful though, and we cashed in over January rather than fixing the problems. It was downhill from there losing 8 of our last 12. Which is where you've stopped taking the average for some arbitrary reason. We averaged 0.89 points per game over that whole season, so we're still staying above that. January is big though. Squad needs to see quality additions.

Santons a crowd favourite so he's not getting an ounce of the stick Simpson is. He was much more culpable on their second than Simpson was for the third though. Simpson was comical and lazy as fuck for the third, but I think it's the only time they got attackers in numbers on that side of the box and he was all at sea.
