Ah well. better luck next time.

1. I'm not going to ask have you have fared so far this season, because it's fairly obvious compared to last year. Do you believe it's all down to injuries? It's a combination of factors. We've had some nasty long term injuries, but we've had more games in Europe which doesn't just drain the players that play in both competitons, it takes away training time from the first team that appear only at the weekends too. Also, we're on more opponents radars as a team to beat. As teams grind out results against us (rather than us doing it to them like we did last year) heads have dropped and there's no momentum. When a club gets like that then players don't want to be out there and what should be just a niggle keeping a player out short term becomes more serious as there isn't the desire to get back out there. The manager really has to up his game to get around issues that just weren't there for us last year. 2. In your last two games you have decided to give it a real attacking go to two of the best attacking teams in the Premiership. Are you expecting a similar approach on Wednesday? Not as much. It's frustrating as hell to see us give it a go as we have "nothing to lose" against the champions league teams....but then to revert to a much more measured approach against other clubs. We really scared Arsenal and Man U...no offense, but we should expect 3 points from you at home. We would take all 3 points too, if we played like we did the last 2 games (at least in attack), it's perverse that such expectation sees Pardew set us up much more cautiously. 3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton in the upcoming evening game? Ben Arfa was our only creative threat all season, cabaye was disappointing. Injuries have meant neither will play. Obertan and Marveaux have looked like being able to open doors no-one else could in recent games. Despite his lack of goals, if Cisse gets the chances he'll put them away as well as Ba has been. 4 There are always certain players from any team that always get the media praise. Your natural starting 11 has some real quality players in it, although some won't be available for selection on Wednesday. Demba Ba has taken all the plaudits this season, how do you rate him and is he likely to feature against us Toffee's? Best striker the club has had since Shearer without question. Incredible talent and hard worker. Over the moon his knee has kept the big boys away from him. Apparently Pardew says he will play. 5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season from the media and even your own fan base this season? Santon at left back has been getting all the plaudits he deserves from the fans. I've not seen much praise for him on MOTD or Gillette Soccer Saturday though. 6. I have to say that not only Evertonians but a lot of other fan bases aren't big fans of Alan Pardew. How do your fans find him? I think he's a cunt. But then, so are Fergie and Allardyce, and Redknapp and Wenger......etc. etc. 7. In the last few years Everton have had certain periods where the Chairman has come under heavy scrutiny and Newcastle have gone through the same with Mike Ashley. Are the majority of the Toon Army against him or did last season get him a few more fans? Mike Ashley will never win over the Newcastle fans. Freddie Shepherd couldn't do it and he broke world record transfer fees. The Glazers can't do it with titles and £30m+ signings. it's the nature of the game to hate chairmen. Ashley has been worse than most with renaming the stadium, moving fans, appointing 5 managers in one season, bringing in Dennis Wise and many other matters. See why he is a twat here. It's not been added to in a long time as he's pretty much learned to stop the daft statements. 8. Where do you think you'll finish this season? 11-15 9. How do you think we have fared this season? Everton were becoming a cliche for poor starts and surging finishes. Moyes seems to have corrected that for once. I think everyone has been waiting for him to do it consistently over a full season and this could be the one. 10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 6 position? I think top 6 should be your expectation every year really. I can't see anyone below you currently who's had a bad shake and should expect to oust you from that position. Can't see you breaking that top 5 with any regularity only because of finances unfortunately. 11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Newcastle team in the upcoming game? I was disappointed Fellaini will be back for it. He's a dirty rotter. Would have said Jelavic previously but he seems to be drying up. What's the story there? 12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton? He's done an excellent job for you the gollum faced prick that he is. You should be over the moon. I wonder how many other jobs he's been offered because the work he does on a comparative shoe string is top notch. 13. Where do you think this Everton side will finish come the end of the season? 6 14. Finally, predictions for the game? Have to say a Newcastle win. 2-0

Pardew said last week it was a situation that couldn't go on, either he would sign a new contract without the clause (and I assume more money) or he would be moved on in this window or the next.
-
Even if FIFA were shit hot on transparency, I'm not sure slagging off a knight of the realm would be a crime that would see him banned from the game.

Not sure what Simpson is on but I'm sure it's not much comparatively speaking. Unlike Ba, he's probably someone that needs to put earnings ahead of football because he's not going to earn the big bucks of top strikers...or reasonable defenders. If we've offered £25k a week it's about his worth in reality, but (and i know it sounds fucking daft), it's only a million a year. After tax it's £600k...and the lad isn't going to be in demand as a pundit or owt after he retires. He's 25 and no-one can see him getting much better in the next 5 to 8 years. From his perspective he needs to secure his comfortbale lifestyle for the 50 years after he stops playing. If Stoke or Fulham could get him for free and double what we're willing to pay him, that's huge for a below average premier league defender like him. Especially with the CSA on his arse. It'll be obscurity, but a more comfortable obscurity.

He's happier about Spurs winning than Blackburn.

 Gene can't go to the Reading home game because he's filling in for John Wilson. He needs names man. -
Guess Simpson will go and Ryan Taylor will be seen as right back cover....once fit.

I'm not expecting Debuchy to be an ever-present, putting in performances that regularly put Simpsons best in the shade, from the day he signs. Think it's dangerous to set expectations too high from the get-go.

The £300k fine they got for tapping up Cole was clearly no deterrent. Obviously not gonna be when it's a tiny fraction of the transfer fee.
-
If it was at all about football why would he want to leave a team he can appear in the Europa league for, to go and play in one where he couldn't?
-
I assume a £7.5m bid has been made though. It's personal terms that can't be agreed.
-
Can't see him getting a game in January like....or am I a cynic.
-
There's this release clause you might not have heard about
-
I hope he finds a club that want to pay his wages....or he might stop playing for a move and decide his knee is giving him gyp.

Where is the £42.5m?

Spent 1 night in the Jazz cafe and enjoyed a Findus turkey burger on a dry bun with a couple of cans of Skol. Despite my lack of support for the venue and it's lack of quality food/drink, I hope the place doesn't go under without his enthusiasm. RIP

We came from behind twice in the second half and only capitulated in the 85th minute. Some OTT reactions to a fresh arsenal taking advantage of our tiredness very late on.

More points than you said we'd have after the last 3 games. Seem to recall you said 18 at most.

We've put 6 past Man U and Arsenal at their places. The final ten minute capitulation should be kept in perspective. For 170 minurtes we've done ourselves proud. Bring on Everton I say....and the 3 piss easy fixtures that follow them.
