  1. Colo doesn't do that does he? Leads more by example than by pointing. Steven Taylor is big on telling people what to do... But he's shit. We just need a couple of capable defenders.

  3. I thought when you were slagging off the people you grew up with that you said it was in hebburn.....or Jarrow.
  4. Isn't Gene from South Tyneside?
  5. Readings spirited come back is a bit of a pisser ahead of our next game like. They'll take more confidence from that than we will our nowts each.
  6. This kind of complaint I can't understand. Williamson knows his limits. As we all do. He's the best option we have. Would you rather he tried to control it, take on a few men and thread a ball through a tight angle to someone? If he hasn't got anyone in a mile of space begging to receive from him, I want Williamson putting some leather through it, just to be safe.

Been arguing with such a mong today...Word for word he said "demba ba is not a prolific striker"
  8. They've got no Morison. Holt has a late fitness test. We have Colo and Williamson. Its not as concerning as last year with their threat from crosses. We have Jonas back. Cabaye back. Debuchy added. Shola out. Its all positives for us.

I use it to hear other opinions and get news. Not to bludgeon others with my opinion and abuse opponents. The joy of it is you don't have to follow any doylums.
  10. My 3 year deal runs out this year I think. £10m profit for the club, a league one pair of centre backs, the loss of 2 of our best players, no investment in repairing that, no possibility of a better manager coming in and potential relegation. . Where do I sign up for the next 3 years
  11. No daughters for me. The last 11 of 12 kids in my family have been boys. Thanks for the the wise advice though.
  12. I love Breaking Bad, but it's not up there with The Wire or The Sopranos. BB is more of a comic action caper, all about the story, every series has Walter another rung up the ladder getting more expert with a new and more serious opponent, like the bosses in a video game. It has tacked on characterisation with basil exposition references to his ex and the bloke that stole her off him along with the fortune he was due for his genius. Just the odd mention to flesh out what might be behind Walters psyche. Walter has gone from a pussy to a ruthless bad-ass and the arc of his story is not very realistic. The Sopranos was never about what escapades they were up to, it was always about the characters. They had the same motivations from start to finish. Every episode, every dream, every visit to Melfi (where he said nothing and revealed everything) was about explaining why Big T was what he was from start to finish. No-one changed, as much as they all wanted to. Tony could have done in season 1 what he did in season 6. Which is much more real. The Wire is much more dense than either of them. It doesn't look at any one character like Tony Soprano. It has dozens of believable characters that. They're not fleshed out, but they're not romanticised...apart from Lester maybe. Still not sure where Boardwalk Empire will fit in on the scale. Certainly better than Breaking Bad.
  13. Aye, pretty fucking daft or little interest in the bloke if you don't know QT's view of film violence by now.
  14. Just watched Prometheus with lowered expectations from the Lukewarm reception it had received. Thought it was fucking champion.
  15. Jonas would only be a short term appointment. There's not many in the squad older. Hatem and Krul are the long term quality I'd like us to retain and to see thrive with the responsibility.
  16. dangerous things like a sense of humour.
