What tickled me most was the sidebar story...

I only liked Soccer Brawl. Pier amusements in South Shields had 1 Streetfighter II machine and there was always half a dozen people gathered round it with their 10p pieces lined up along the bottom of the screen for their go. Soccer Brawl was next to it so I would always hoy my money in there while I waited my turn.

I'd be ready to kill. Typical for me is Breakfast of Granola and yoghurt, Dinner of 2 baps (ham and peasepud today). For snacks I also have 3 bits of fruit, got a sausage roll today as well. Tea varies. Last night was one baked potato...the night before it was a full chinese. the night before frozen pizza. Still getting through the christmas chocolate so add a few celebrations to that every day...oh, forgot, we had an M&S apple pie left over off a meal deal for pudding last night as well.......she doesn't like custard so I had the full can to myself. How many calories would that be?

Finally got round to watching this. As much as the blokes in it are suffering and they deserve their story to be told, I still cannot watch a film about an invading army and feel much sympathy. As they cry while out on a mission because a comrade has been killed I can't reconcile that grief with the whoopin' and a hollerin' as they bomb the shit out of the people in the valley below, or laugh as they describe the the moment their bullets have torn a fleeing victim apart.

With Obertan, it's not even a case of being on the same wavelength as teammates and being advanced enough to anticipate 2 passes ahead, it's the absolute basics - when we have the ball find some space, when the opposition has the ball close it (or at the very least the angle) down, when there's a 50/50 commit to it etc. All stuff Goffran and Sissoko have done more of in their first couple of games than Oberrtan has managed in a couple of seasons.
