Pretty, pretty, pretty good. Shittest week at work since I left school. This weekend could not have been more timely. Half way through a bottle of rioja now though and started the next season of Justified.

...and that the club aren't in debt.

He also said we spent £31m in January though right?

"who eats a peach?"

Stopped listening to that a couple of years back. The woman wound me up. Like Frank Skinner though.

I'm a total Apple fan boy. I'm disgusted by anyone whose MP3 player is not an ipod. I feel physically sick to use someones computer when their music library is not sorted and labelled in Itunes. These are tools Apple doesn't place a premium on though. The ipod may have been expensive to start with, but there was nothing like it. As other companies copied, Apple always stayed competitive with the amount of storage your money got you by comparison. Do a search on Amazon for an MP3 player over 60GB. The larger ipods are cheaper than all the competition....and still have the best functionally. I wanted an Iphone when they came out but I was an idiot and had just got tied into a 2 year deal with an old style Nokia. I may have paid a premium then for the only smartphone worth having.....but 24 months later the HTC Desire HD was doing 90% of what the iphone 3 would for half the price. Apple were releasing new models of the same thing and not pricing them competitively enough for me to justify it. As much as I love Apple stuff, I won't throw money at them for the brand alone. That was another 2 year contract and when it came to renew this time I was looking for a SIM free phone. £445 for a 16GB sim free Iphone 5 or £239 for a 16GB sim free Nexus 4 is a no brainer. The ONLY thing the former offers is 4g...but then the latter offers NFC which the iphone lacks Same deal with the ipad 3 versus Nexus 10. Anyone going with Apple at this point is paying through the nose for Apple's past innovations. I'm not convinced by the glasses of Google or the Watch from Apple (knowing nowt about either like) or the touch wall from Microsoft for that matter. They all stink to me of behemoth companies chasing the next big innovation rather than what they've done before, which seems to me was make it easier & more fun to do things we already did anyway.

Since 1998... Commercial income has basically been straightline (it's down £3.5m since 1998 when it was £17.3m) Matchday income has basically been straightline (it's up £2.8m since 1998 when it was £21.1m) Profit has basically been straightline (there have been massive fluctuations based on player sales/purchases, but basically a straight line at or below zero) All that has gone up is wages and TV income. And those are almost exactly alligned, increased by just over £40m each in 15 years. The wages were never silly previously. Even after signing Owen and Luque it was the 62% mark. Problem was always the transfer fees and borrowing to cover them.

About the same net outlay then.
-
Includes the purchase of Cisse, Anita & Bigirimana I'd have thought... ..and the sales of Best and Forster. So stll turning a profit after a net outlay of £10m or thereabouts.

Saw this and thought of you like... Rose Petals

Just have to hope we aren't relegated.

That wage figure is tucked sneakily in at the end there like. Back to a figure higher than any in the 10 years before he bought the club.

Commercial revenue STILL falling?

Not surprised. It's one of the most acclaimed stand alone episodes in terms of acting, writing & direction. http://www.metacritic.com/feature/boardwalk-empire-season-2-finale-review We don't call you Contrary Tree for nowt.

Sheeeeeet! Gonna get myself some of that sweet floor action. Looks like an F1 pit. Need some loft flooring too.

Still sat in his armchair, red wine stained down his front, mouth agape at what he's witnessed.

It's unlimited...but their T&Cs has a vague reference to not adversely affecting other users. They will jump on people if they determine you've been tethering other devices to the phone to share the internet connection which I think is fair enough. Less happy that they will crack down on continuous streaming apparently, so maybe not "unlimited", but I've not had any bother and their community reckon they won't take any action if you stick with less than 1GB per hour... http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Help-Support/Unlimited-data-plans-what-are-the-limit/td-p/5213620

Aye. Switched at christmas. The unlimited data/texts & 240 minutes package has lifted to £12 but never had any issues with service. Even if you do find that your house or work is in a black hole for reception though. They only tie you in for 30 days, so it only costs £12 to find out.
-
My mistake. Still, it's only 3 films.
-
It's missing 4G Some people see it as huge. But the only provider of 4G in the UK at the moment is limiting their data Package to 1GB. Data costs are exorbitant after your free use. To tell people they can stream films and TV shows super fast, but limit the streaming to 1GB on your price plan defeats the entire purpose. Much better to get an unlimited data package on 3G.

I'm still scoffing. Tablets are shit for most stuff outside of browsing the web and media and some dedicated apps. Mobile sites tend to lack half of the functionality of non-mobile. It may improve as designers come up with innovative solutions, but vid-trim is never going to replace Sony Vegas, as an example.
