    His pass accuracy is excellent. Second only to Gosling. But on average he only attempts 12 passes per game which is among the lowest. Gutierrez and Santon both offer three times as many. Once again, your argument is a flight of fancy, the notion of what you perceive Fergie capable of, if only Pardew would enable him, not what he has shown when he has been given the opportunity, which has only been glimpses.

    He made 10 appearances last year. I'm not writing anyone off. He's not the answer to all our problems like you think...and thought of Shane before. But he'll deffo be happier with his 35 appearances this season than he was with those 10 last year. He's only managed as many games once in his whole career before. No credit to Pardew for coaxing that from him. You wrap yourself up in circles of logic that defy common sense and base your argument on flights of fancy, the notion of what you perceive players are capable of, if only Pardew would enable them, not what they've shown when he has.

    Marveaux was pish last year. Surely if you think he's been the bees knees when he's [played, then that is down to Pardew's handling of him.

    Cisse has become more prolific as the season's gone on. Taylor has had one of his better seasons too, overall.

    Never let it be forgotten that I was saying what a mediocre manager Pardew was last year when you were berating me and coming out with shite like... What you can not discount is the Pardew effect. Pardew would simply take the England B team and make them all great He will be England Manager for the next world cup, nailed on. We will start next season even stronger and either win or just miss out on the title. The team has been assembled, the players like Perch have been improved, Pardew s achieved this utilising the full squad, Pardew foretold last year the style of play he wanted us to play. I think Fluke does us down and isn't deserved. I don't particularly like the comparison with "the entertainers" because it is both unfair to that team and this one. But who would have thought Pardew would put together a team playing like this. Quality, quality stuff. And so on and so on. You've just come to realise i was right, not the other way around. Being mediocre isn't necessarily something that should lead to the sack though.

    I just saw it on the metacritic list of recent releases, was going to 'obtain' it tonight. Wouldn't have bothered if it turned out to be a greatest hits....but turns out it's a 2 disc set with B-sides, covers and live performances too, so i might still give it a bash.

    DK said he can understand your view. It would have been equally daft to say we'll definitely not beat the mackems ahead of that game though. We go into any home game with a chance. Personally i think we have a bettrer chance against Liverpool who are already on holiday than we had against the relegation battling, new manager boosted mackems.
