  1. “Do you think I am going to say they [tactics] were right when we were 3-0 down? “I felt what we tried to do in the game we did not achieve. “I felt moving Yohan Cabaye on a place would work for us. “It was where he played last time we played Liverpool. “We could not get a grip, though, and we lacked threat down the flanks. “There were a lot of things wrong. My selection of the team is open to criticism – of course it is.”
  2. West Brom did it to Southampton this weekend.......and last week everyone was complaining that we didn't steam-roller them as if they are shit. Chelsea did it to Fulham the week before. Liverpool walked over Wigan 4 nowt at their place a few weeks back, and 3 nowt at QPR before that. It hurt more, being Sunderland, but compared to Saturday that performance was full of vim
  3. 3 nowt isn't freak, happens week in week out to one team or another.
  4. Our players have busted guts until the final minute of several games in recent months. Something might have happened in the dressing room that has broken any support for Pardew in the past fortnight, but I think the performance against West Brom suggests there is a desire to play for him. The likes of Ferguson and Wenger, have been on the end of 6, 7 and 8 goal thrashings. Pardew doesn't have one ounce of the good will they do, but neither of them had necessarily lost their dressing rooms, just one of those freak days where your whole team let's you down.
  5. Plenty of us were. CT called us all "Team Negative"
  6. Mines not changed. Ashley shit. Pardew shit. Until a fortnight ago there were mitigating factors that suggested Pardew could feel aggreived at being sacked. He doesn't have that luxury anymore.
  7. Interested to hear how the last fortnight changes Chez's narrative.
  8. Why don't you base your opinion of Pardew entirely on the previous result? Then you could be right 50 times a year.
  9. It never changed once in the first 11 or so games though. After that players came into a winning team with the best defence in the league, confidence was high and breeds success. Totally different stepping into a relegation battle.
  10. The official website really getting to the heart of where the game was lost.
  11. You mean we might not win on the road and concede more than 9 without return at home? There's no-one could argue if he was sacked now, seriously.
  12. We were surprised it was Perch came off and not Tiote. Hard done by tbh.
  13. We were having a good laugh at the end, "ole" and that. Sang more at 6 down than at 2 down. Had to laugh when Taylor and Cabaye came over to applaud the support after the whistle. Thought they'd be too ashamed.
  14. Couple of places at royal quays do good quality brands at discount prices.
  15. Howzat? 9 points to play for, 9 points off Villa. Unless you mean they've been confirmed relegated for a while... If not mathematically... which is true enough.
  16. If Villa get a point tomorrow QPR and Reading are confirmed down.
  17. We all said Pardew a shit manager when he was appointed. He remains as shit. Ashley is shit at picking managers. Fingers crossed he appoints a good one this time...and a good one that he can work with.
  18. None of that has owt to do with Ashley's record appointing managers...which does give reason to suppose that next one will be shit too. How can you be Pardew's harshest critic, while praising Ashley for his appointment? Your posts are wrapped in circles of ill thought out paradoxical logic.
  19. Aye. Making excuses. I could "simply say" managing Newcastle is hard, no-one's won owt for 40+ year. It's an empty excuse though. Something you're keen to offer Ashley while berating Pardew for citing legitimate events that have made it hard for him this year.
