Whenever anyone leaves my row early on and makes us all stand, I suppress the rage by enjoying the micro-Mexican wave effect we create.

Been at HP/EDS for over a decade in a load of roles.

I went for a pint with a mate the other week and he brought an older lad from work with him. Talk got round to Stuart Hall and this lad started fondly reminscing about the days when you would nip an arse or cop a feel and it was all fun. That's a load of bollocks for a start and most women put up with it rather than enjoying it, but I had to point out Hall was noncing a fucking 9 year old. Seems this stupid bitch is ignorant of that as well.

My style of management is to play on here 90% of the day. If anything needs to be chased I'll hear about it from someone honestly though, I fucking hate it at the moment. I've always enjoyed working, even menial shit like in a bar or telesales. Management is gash

http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2013/may/15/daft-punk-random-access-memories-review Guardian reviewer seems to take issue with it being over-hyped. He says it nearly matches the hype, but I don't take his view at all. For me, expectations weren't based on any ad campaign or announcements of collaborators, but the last album. As much as he cites pretenders to their crown copying Daft Punk, Human After All was Daft Punk by numbers. I still enjoy that album, but it took Alive 2007 to bring life to that collection of songs. I'm only just getting up top the Pharrell tracks now and this new album is a quantum leap ahead of the last one. Back to best. The end of that Giorgio by Moroder you mention, with the wailing guitar...

Amused. Discussing Pardew with HTT on N-O and he says we've not stopped hitting so many long balls because Pardew wants to...but because its been windy....for 3 months.

Tony Fernandes is the complainant.

As long as we're sorted for a keeper and midfield 2 then ...and you're the one most adamant that Pardew has the world class players and should be getting more from them.
-
You're in agreement on all the other stuff though
-
Amen I think Pardew has forgotten his roots. Remember back in the day when his policy was Tiote and Cabaye in the middle of the park, Ba and Best in front of them and no-one could stop us, we were winning games left right and centre One day away to West Brom, Pardew went with 3 up top and we looked like Brazil circa 1970, since then he doesn't seem to have considered once going back to 442. He has been chasing that elusive performance, tinkering with the personnel (you more attacking, him more defensive, that one wider, now all swap and see what happens) to try and replicate that which worked for a brief moment over a year ago.

Their defending was atrocious against Swansea and against Arsenal last night. It's excused by people that tout him because of their injuries, but with our injuries this year he'd be working with Simpson, Williamson, Taylor and Santon. Not sure they're any sort of class apart from Wigan's back 4.
-
Had a cheeky little punt on Arsenal at 16s. Think that's very generous odds. 2/1 for Man City/Man U, 3s for Chelsea is extremely tight IYAM, considering their states of flux (as PL put it). Only issue will be Arsenal's problem beating other clubs in the top 5.
-
I reckon Arsenal will walk the league next year.

I've tried to remove the problem inherent with a conversion rate based on a pro-rata split of shots taken. Instead, I've just worked out the basic numbers of goals with Ba (26/20) and without (19/17) and put it in a graph against the goals per game for all the teams in the league, to show the teams we were outscoring with Ba, and those outscoring us without him. # Basically, only the top 7 had a better strike rate until Ba went the journey.
-
What was the impact of losing Ba on our season? Can't get the exact shots taken, but can do a pro-rata split. Imperfect, but best i can do.... Up to 01/01/2013 Played 20 Goals scored 26 Pro rata shots = 526/37 * 20 = 284.3 Conversion rate with Ba = 26/284.3 = 9.14% Since 01/01/2013 Played 17 Goals 19 Pro rata shots = 526/37 * 17 = 241.7 Conversion Rate without Ba = 19/241.7 = 7.86% Edited because he didn't play Everton before we sold him either.

We were on 11.5% last year. 11% the year before. I'd better to do some work

Missed that

Aye, you're right. Prompted me to look at some others and what you say is backed up by the fact that West Ham now take more shots from within 6 yards than any other team (11%) We take more of our shots from inside the box (18 or 6 yard) than Spurs do. So, not as damning a fact as I figured.
-
We shoot from inside 6 yards only one third as much as we did 2 years ago. Even though we take more shots, we fashioned 61 shots within the 6 yard box then, compared to 21 now. *Premier League only

http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/924559/lille-coach-rudi-garcia-confirms-yohan-cabaye-will-join-newcastle?campaign=rss&source=soccernet&cc=5739 Why are clubs willing to pay £10 - £23m for a player that has gone backwardsn though, when we were the only ones that wanted to pay £5m for him before Pardew ruined him?
